Aircraft carriers can be described as floating cities, carrying thousands of crew members and a large array of different aircraft and weaponry. They form an essential part of any military and are commanded by some of the best the Navy has to offer.
‘Carrier Command 2’ places players in command of a highly futuristic, advanced aircraft carrier that has enough firepower to take out any target on the face of the Earth. Players play as an admiral in command of their aircraft carrier.
They must attack what is called the ‘Archipelago’ and must make use of radar, radio, and various other reconnaissance tools and intel to decide where to launch their attacks, which aircraft and weapons systems to use, etc.
Making the right decision will allow for swooping attacks and swift victories whereas poor strategizing and decision-making will have catastrophic consequences.
With each island captured in the ‘Archipelago’ players will need to plan how to defend the island and how to utilize the resources it provides while keeping all supply lines between occupied islands open.
In ‘Carrier Command 2’ players not only command an aircraft carrier and its fleet of aircraft, but they can also personally use each of the vehicles they deploy to get directly involved in the fight and lead from the front. Players can fly helicopters, fighters, fighter-bombers, and even stealth bombers such as the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit.
‘Carrier Command 2’ is developed by ‘Geometa’ and is available on Steam.
