‘Mad World’ is an MMORPG that has been built according to traditional standards for the genre. However, developers describe the game as having “unique art and grotesqueness.”
‘Mad World’ has been developed with a dynamic combat system that allows players to switch between different combat classes and playstyles flexibly as they progress through the game. Instead of having different character classes, players can pick from different weapon classes and switch them out to alter their character’s abilities and combat style!
The game also allows character movement during combat, which creates a faster-paced, more explosive combat experience. Every ‘Act’ in the story ends with an ‘Act Boss’ that needs to be defeated. As players progress, bosses will become progressively stronger and more difficult to defeat. With greater risk, the rewards will also become bigger and better!
Defeating bosses will grant players high-tier loot and resources that can be used for better gear and weapons.
‘Mad World,’ features a “Potential Mastery” system. By earning “Potential Mastery” players can upgrade and enhance their warriors with unique perks and abilities that will also impact their playstyle and use on the battlefield.
There are multiple chapters to complete, with plenty of quests to complete as part of every chapter!
‘Mad World,’ features hand-drawn 2D art that has been created specifically with a “Grim fairytale” style that is suited to ‘Mad World.’
‘Mad World,’ is developed by ‘Jandisoft,’ and is scheduled for a Fall 2022 release on Steam.
