‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream,’ is a motocross riding game that is being developed “by riders for riders.”
In ‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream,’ you start out as an amateur motocross rider who is trying to make a mark in the world of American motocross. The game focuses on the incredible struggle and difficulty amateur motocross riders go through to get anywhere in American motocross.
The game is being developed by motocross riders who are also gamers, and who wish to create a game that truly does motocross justice. According to the developers, they hope that their game will “change the current landscape of the motocross gaming genre,” and encourage companies to “implement core details of the sport into their games.”
Currently, the game features 3 different tracks to play on in a single compound, which is currently being used to test and develop the game’s physics. There is a motocross track, an arena-cross track, and a hybrid supercross track.
You can ride around in a 125cc 2-stroke dirtbike, which has been developed to be as physically accurate and realistic as possible. The game also features 3 different camera modes and ragdoll physics to make it as realistic as possible.
According to the developers, upcoming features include new tracks, bikes, and even customization options for bikes and riders. The developers plan to add a multiplayer mode with online racing lobbies, and also add modding support.
‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream,’ is developed by ‘LCQ Studios,’ and released on Steam in August 2022.
There is currently a free demo available, as well as a fully paid version. However, the devs have stated that the paid version is currently the same as the demo, and should only be purchased should players wish to support the project.
