Hitchhiking can be pretty dangerous. It can also be an incredible adventure full of great people, places, and experiences. Either way, hitchhiking in real life is not something people tend to do for fun, simply because of the dangers involved.
But what if there was a way to hitchhike without any real danger or effort? That would make it no danger all fun!
‘Road 96’ tells an epic tale of a dangerous road trip taken to escape an authoritarian regime in the nation of Petria. There is a catch though. The tale that will be told is yet to be written. Players must write their own story through the choices they make and the roads they take as they attempt to hitchhike out of Petria!
According to developers, there are literally thousands of different roads they could potentially take, and choices they can make. This makes for a unique experience for each player. Throughout their trips, players will come across funny people, roadblocks, police checkpoints, attempted kidnappings, and a host of other dangers and adventures.
Players are free to choose what to do in each situation they find themselves in, and this will directly impact whether their happy trip down the road in someone else’s car ends in freedom or 6 feet under…
‘Road 96’ is full of different characters with unique backstories to add a fresh twist to the players’ journeys with every new character they meet. As an added bonus, the game features tons of 90’s music hits that’ll take any 90’s back to their childhoods.
‘Road 96’ is developed by ‘Digixart’ and is available on Steam.
