[Top 10] Apex Legends Best Drop Locations For King's Canyon

Apex Legends Best Drop Locations For King's Canyon

10. The Cage

The Cage is a fantastic location for dropping, mainly because of the area it's placed in. You have some great loot throughout its levels, some solid loot outside of it and even an explosive hold most of the time.

This coupled with the area it looks over, and Cage is a fantastic location to start your Ranked Public games. Make sure to land on the middle floor of the Cage for the best loot, unless you spot something good on the roof whilst flying down.

What Makes The Cage So Great:

  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • You can get attachments quickly from the explosive hold.
  • Great lookout location for the surrounding area.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.

9. Map Room

Map Room would have ranked higher on this list if it had better rotational points, but its main purpose is fantastic. In the middle of this location, any player can scan a console to see where everyone is on the map.

Though this doesn't track targets, it's fantastic for early-game situations as you can see where to rotate to or away from. The thing is, the loot here isn't all that great, and the scan aspect can be done by recon legends all around the map as of season 16. It's still a great place to land, just not as good as it once was.

What Makes Map Room So Great:

  • Can locate where everyone is on the map off drop
  • Decent loot for early-game fights
  • Some decent rotational value, but not as good as others.
  • Has an ultimate charge tower right next to it, so fantastic for legends like Ballistic and Rampart.

8. Crash Site

Sitting at the top of the Kings Canyon map, Crash Site has some pretty great loot and some fantastic potential for early-game fights. The area is large enough that even if loads of people land there, it doesn't feel crowded. You can escape easily because of its 2 jump towers, and there is more than enough loot to go around.

Fighting here is super fun and the loot is decent. The rotations out of here are fantastic and it's just good for late game as well. Whether it's rotating here late-game, fighting in the mid-game or looting early, Crash Site is a great choice.

What Makes Crash Site So Great:

  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • You can get attachments quickly from the explosive hold.
  • Great lookout location for the surrounding area.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.

7. Relic

The next location to look at it is, of course, Relic, or as OG’s like to call it, Skull Town. This was once the original fragment. The place where the entire lobby dropped to fight to the death. Nowadays, it's quite different. Having less loot, but more options for fighting and rotations. Not as many people land here anymore, but it's still really good to drop in.

The loot is spread out enough that it's not all taken by one squad, and if you are here alone it's quickly lootable. Rotating out of here is a breeze with its jump towers and accessibility to other high-traffic areas of KC. Honestly, this place is amazing.

What Makes Relic So Great:

  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.
  • Fun place to fight in, meaning kill farmers will love it.

6. Desert

Now this one isn't exactly a named location, but it's been named by the community itself. We all know the Desert, and it might not seem like a great place to drop for most. It's surrounded by open space and some pretty high-traffic areas.

The thing is though, the loot here is usually fantastic and crafting is nearby. The rotations out of here are also insane as you have so many choices depending on the ring. Find some great loot here and get those attachments from the nearby explosive hold and crafter if you're lucky.

What Makes Desert So Great:

  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • You can get attachments quickly from the explosive hold.
  • Great lookout location for the surrounding area.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.

5. Market

One of the most iconic drop locations on Kings Canyon has to be Market. Everyone knows this place. It's got some of the best loot on the map and is so insanely fun to fight in thanks to its zip lines and layered play spaces. Market is also basically in the centre of the map, making it great to rotate out of and into.

It's just a great place to land in or even move into later on in the game. Of course, many people will land there, so it's either great for killing farmers or bad for those who want a quiet game in ranked.

What Makes Market So Great:

  • Some fantastic rat spots for the current s17 ranked season
  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.
  • Has crafting most of the time, meaning you can get better loot than others.

4. Bunker

Bunker is iconic when it comes to Kings Canyon, but it's not as good as the final three that's for sure! Bunker has its issues, don't get me wrong, but it's just so fun to play in. The loot is mediocre at best, but the playstyle of this area is why it's so good to land in. If loads of people drop, you're gonna have a fun time, that's if you land on a decent gun though.

Bunker has a thin corridor throughout that's perfect for Wattson and Caustic players, but does well with others like Fuse and Horizon. Honestly, it's just fantastic, give it a go. We wouldn't recommend this for Ranked though, yeah stay away from it there.

What Makes Bunker So Good?

  • One of the most hectic locations in Apex Legends, but it's really fun
  • Has some decent loot for the early game, not exactly late-game friendly though
  • Is easy to hold, as long as you're playing a defensive legend.
  • Good rotations on either side of the Bunker for late-game plays or early-game fights.

3. Gauntlet

One of the first map updates to Kings Canyon back during the early days of Apex was Octane’s Gauntlet. To this day, Gauntlet is an awesome location to drop and easily one of the best on Kings Canyon. For one, the movement here is fantastic. There are launch pads all over, just like Octane’s ultimate.

In the middle of the ring of fire is usually either a purple tier item or a gold one. This can be armour or a bag, either of which is great to pick up. The area has so much loot for a few teams to battle around, and its rotations are perfect. From moving down the map to even going up to the crash site, Gauntlet has it all!

What Makes Gauntlet So Good?

  • One of the most hectic locations in Apex Legends, but it's really fun
  • Has some decent loot for the early game, not exactly late-game friendly though
  • You can rotate out of here pretty easily thanks to its ziplines and launch pads.
  • Overall a great place to land and should be a part of your rotation...

2. Spotted Lake

This one might seem a bit weird, but stay with me. Spotted Lake has become a fantastic spot with the most recent season of Apex Legends. In Ranked Play, this location is great as it's usually so out of the way that barely anyone lands there. If people do end up landing with you, then fighting here is fantastic.

From the super fun yet defensive buildings, you can hold down, to the ziplines outside for movement. The loot here is great as well, making it great for early-game fights if you so desire. In terms of playing it safe, this location is great as its rotations are perfect as well. From moving towards Runoff to going down to Containment, it has it all. Consider landing here in your next game for a fun yet rewarding time.

What Makes Spotted Lake So Great:

  • Some fantastic rat spots for the current s17 ranked season
  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.
  • Has crafting most of the time, meaning you can get better loot than others.

1. Caustic Treatment

Finally, the best location to drop on Kings Canyon has to be Caustic Treatment, right? I know it's super far out there on the map as it's not exactly near many locations, but the loot is what makes it. Caustics has 4 guaranteed high-tier loot items inside of the Caustic tanks in the middle of the POI. Press the button on either side of the area to unlock 4 canisters with loot in them.

From gold weapons to purple and gold shields, it has it all! The rest of the loot is also fantastic and you can gear up super quick here. Caustic Treatment is usually contested, so fighting here is gonna happen. Luckily, loot is plentiful and the location itself is really fun to battle in. It's perfect, as you can also get an Evac tower to leave and push another area.

What Makes Caustic Treatment So Great:

  • Fantastic loot for early games.
  • Guaranteed high-tier loot
  • Easy to hold.
  • Has some great rotations to other areas of the map.
  • Has crafting most of the time, meaning you can get better loot than others.
