This awesome anime about the struggles of carnivore and herbivore life at boarding school is full of interesting characters. Here are the top 10 from good to best:

10. Riz

The large brown bear who is part of the drama club.

What Makes Riz Great:

• (Spoiler Alert) - He's the murderer and he hides it the whole time. Talk about secretive skills!
• He's incredibly strong and big. Scary cool!
• He's a bear! And not the cuddly kind.

9. The newspaper club president.

He is the small herbivore who shouts at the club's members to get a better picture of Louis.

What Makes The President Great:

• He's so tiny but so in charge! 
• He's honest about what the people want to see: only Louis!
• His shouting voice is so cute and funny! Yet it's intimidating at the same time.

8. Juno

The she-wolf who is an actress in the drama club.

What Makes Juno Great:

• She's determined and strong. She makes that known when she pins Louis to the floor! And tells him she wants to be the Beastar.
• She's a carnivore but kind too. 
• She has the cutest crush on Legoshi. Unfortunately, he only has eyes for Haru. 

7. Tem 

The alpaca who dies at the beginning of the show.

What Makes Tem Great:

• Before he died he made friends with a carnivore. Not many herbivores do that. It's a shame it was the wrong carnivore.
• He wrote a love letter to another herbivore. Don't we all wish we could get love letters! 

6. Bill

He's a tiger who is part of the drama club.

What Makes Bill Great:

• He's the antagonist in the drama club's play. He plays it well!
• He's really strong. He almost wins a fight against Legoshi. Leaving scars on his back forever!

5. Gohin 

The Panda who mentors Legosi is one cool guy.

What Makes Gohin Great:

• He's a doctor/therapist for carnivores.
• He trains Legosi to hone his fighting strength while fighting his instincts. Best mentor ever!!!
• He has a take no sh*t vibe about him that is solid as a rock.
• His fighting skills are great!
• He has a crossbow!

4. Jack

The best friend of Legosi. 

What makes Jack Great:

• He's a dog! I just want to scratch his cute ears!
• He's observant. He often knows something is up with Legosi without being told.
• He's an extremely supportive and nice best friend. He's always there for Legoshi and never judges him.

3. Haru 

This dwarf rabbit girl is one of the herbivore students at the school.

What makes Haru Great:

• She is the only person in the gardening club and she loves her flowers so much. Go eco-warrior!
• She is bullied by a lot of the other animals and yet she stays strong and mostly kind.
• She's tiny and so cute! Everyone wants to protect her. Including me!
• She's quite sexy too when she wants to be. Niiice!

2. Louis

He is the leader of the drama club.

What makes Louis great:

• He's strong and determined even though he's a herbivore!
• He's a great and passionate actor. He even performs with a broken leg. That's dedication!
• He becomes the head of a carnivorous criminal gang and leaves school. Not that we should do the same but, damn, that's cool.
• He helps Legosi against the murderer in the end by giving up his leg! Ouch!

 1. Legosi

The main character of the show. He is a carnivore but one of the less aggressive ones.

What makes Legosi great:

• He's quiet and shy which is surprising for a carnivore!
• He fights his killer instincts to stay vegetarian for most of the show! Not many other carnivores do that.
• He's a wolf! That's awesome. Wolves are super cool!
• He cares about herbivores. And he even learns to value the lives of insects. Now that's some sensitive, beautiful stuff!
• He has a scent reservoir in his brain of all the herbivores he wants to protect. So sweet!
