[Top 10] Best Pokemon in Arceus That Are Powerful

Powerful Pokemon in Legends Arceus
Bow down to the Pokemon God!

If you're looking for some powerful Pokemon, look no further!

With a new pokemon game out there, it’s only natural that we try to compile lists of what may be some of the most powerful pokemon we can find. Here is what I believe to be the top 10 most powerful pokemon in Legends Arceus

10. Gyarados

Gyarados, striking a pose.

What’s Great About Gyarados:

  • Flying and Water Type
  • Immune to Ground Attacks
  • Base Stat of 450
  • Easy to Find

Gyarados was one of the original 150 pokemon and now, about 25 years later, it is still considered one of the most destructive pokemon out there. If you can gain the trust of a Gyarados you will have an excellent battle partner, but that’s only if you can gain its trust If your Gyardos don't like you, well, let’s hope you have good health insurance because you will be visiting the ED a lot. Gyarados can be easily located; they are found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Cobalt Coastlands, and the Coronet Highlands. Due to its commonality and overall strength, there shouldn’t be a reason to not have one of these in your party.

9. Clefable

A cute, pink space alien.

What’s Great About Clefable:

  • Total Base Stat of 483
  • Fairy Type
  • Big and Pink
  • Extraterrestrial Pokemon
  • High Defense

If you think you can get a Clefable by only leveling up your Clefairy, I’m sorry to tell you, that such a thing is impossible. You can train your Clefairy until it reaches level 100, but it will not evolve without the help of a moonstone. Once you expose your little Clefairy to a moonstone, you’ll have a Clefable in no time. You better not be playing loud heavy metal music while in the presence of your Clefable. This is because Clefable has great hearing, so good that according to the Legends Arceus Pokedex, it can hear its buddies up on the moon. Its sensitive hearing is the reason why it prefers to live in quiet areas. This cute bubblegum pokemon can only be found in the Coronet Highlands.

8. Gengar

Big ghost friend.

What’s Great About Gengar:

  • Ghost and Poison Type
  • Base Stat of 500
  • Doesn’t Need to be Traded to Get
  • Immune to Normal and Fighting Types

Gengar is a trickster pokemon that likes to take possession of its victim’s shadow and if you read the Pokedex entry in Arceus, it does this to eventually steal their lives. In every Pokemon game, it’s always great to have a Gengar on the team, but it’s usually a bit difficult to obtain because you can only get it after trading a Haunter. In Legends Arceus, all you need is a special item called a linking cord and this big boy is yours.

7. Weavile

Looking cute with those sharp claws.

What’s Great About Weavile:

  • Dark and Ice Type
  • Base Stat of 510
  • Immune to Psychic Attacks

There may not be a large variety of ice-type pokemon that you can pick from in Legends Arceus, but Weavile is one of the best ones you can obtain . Weaviles are intelligent, they travel and hunt in packs and according to the Arceus Pokedex, they even have a pack leader. I  imagine it's probably terrifying to run into a pack of these while you're out on your own. They seem like highly skilled hunters. Weavile is immune to psychic-type attacks and it is always great to have a pokemon that can withstand such power.

6. Luxray

If a lion and a lightning bolt made a baby, it would be Luxray.

What’s Great About Luxray:

  • Base Stat of 523
  • Resistant to Flying, Steel, and Electric Types
  • Can use Dark and Electric Attacks
  • Easily Accessible

This pokemon travels in packs and is usually seen in groups in Legends Arceus. It’s easy to grab a Shinx then evolve it until it becomes a Luxray. This is a versatile pokemon that can destroy not just water types, but ghost and psychic-types as well, as long as you have it learn some dark-type attacks, like crunch.

5. Togekiss

Cute but deadly.

What’s Great About Togekiss:

  • Flying and Fairy Type
  • Base Stat of 545
  • Immune to Dragon and Ground
  • Can be Found Early in the Game

Togekiss is such a sweet pokemon, so what is it doing on a list of powerful pokemon? Well, let me tell you when I snatched this sweetheart of the sky in the Obsidian Fieldlands it began to destroy one pokemon after the other. It’s always great to have a pokemon on your team that can combat the ferocity of the dragon type so early on.

4. Infernape

Will kick your butt with the power of dance.

What’s Great About Infernape:

  • Fire and Fighting Type
  • Base Stats of 534
  • Versatile
  • Great Dancer
  • High Attack Base

Infernape is another extremely powerful pokemon you should have on your team. It may be located in the first part of the game, but it’s not accessible until later. It has an incredibly high stats attack and special attack. Infernape is a highly versatile pokemon and can learn a variety of moves to make up for any weaknesses it might have. I love its Hisuian Pokedex entry that describes its fighting style to appear as if it’s dancing. This is such a unique detail  that we don’t see  in other fighting-type pokemon.

3. Zoroark

It's not a phase, Mom.

What’s Great About Zoroark:

  • Normal and Ghost Type
  • Signature Move is Bitter Malice
  • Has a Total Base Stat of 510
  • Only Weakness is Dark Type
  • Takes No Damage From Normal, Fighting, and Ghost Types

The Hisuian Zoroark reminds me of an angry mosh-pit participant that never stopped moshing and continued the rampage throughout the streets. This is one of the most powerful pokemon you can possibly use in the entire game. Zoroark is completely resistant to bug and poison types and immune to ghost, fighting, and normal types. It lives in cold climates, which is great because it can blend in with the surrounding snow.

2. Garchomp

Warning: Will eat people.

What’s Great About Garchomp:

  • Base Stat Total of 600
  • 130 Attack Base
  • Immune to Electric Types
  • Dragon Type
  • Pseudo-Legendary

If you’re out on a stroll in the Alabaster Icelands or the Coronet Highlands, be careful because you might end up being the dinner for one of these feral dragons. Garchomp is completely immune to electric-type attacks and takes half damage from fire, poison, and rock attacks. Like all dragon-types, this pokemon is definitely one you want to have in your party. There may not be any mega evolutions in Legends Arceus, but that doesn’t mean Garchomp isn’t a good friend to have.

1. Goodra

Please don't leave the goopy friend alone, they get scared.

What's Great About Goodra:

  • Dragon and Steel Type
  • Immune to Poison
  • High Special Defense Base of 150
  • Base Stat Total of 600
  • Signature Move is Shelter

Goodra is the only pseudo-legendary pokemon to have a regional form. According to the Hisuian Pokedex entry it hates being alone and is highly clingy. Despite its fear of being alone, the Hisuian Goodra is a powerful pokemon. Its only critical weaknesses will come from flying and ground-types and it has a natural immunity to poison-type attacks. This pokemon can learn a variety of moves, everything from water-type moves like hydro pump and poison moves like acid spray.
