Here are some of the best and worst submachine guns, or SMGs, to use in Call of Duty Mobile. Of course, these are in the latest version of the game. In this review I will tell you which ones to use, so you can dominate your lobbies, and which ones to avoid using, so you won’t be mistaken as a troll in your ranked games.
To start, these are the 5 worst SMGs to use in the current meta:
1. Razorback
Although it’s one of the guns that has the most consistent damage all around, this gun’s rate of fire is pretty slow for an SMG. It loses a lot against guns that have a higher rate of fire and have a quicker time to kill. It’s good for holding and camping with the right attachments, but overall, if you’re against a good player with a meta gun, you’ll have a low chance of winning.
The best attachments for the Razorback.
Razorback
- It’s really good for players that can hit all their shots, with it being a really consistent 4 shot to kill gun even at medium range, or 20m - 25m.
- Low fire rate makes it have a slower time to kill than most SMGs, not very optimal for players who like to play aggressively and want fast paced gunfights.
- Slow reload speed.

2. MSMC
One of the SMGs that has the fastest fire rate and is a monster at close range. The main drawbacks of this SMG are the low mag capacity, high recoil, and that its damage falls off at 20m. On some maps like Summit or Crash it's good but in most maps it’s not a good gun to use.
Best attachments for the MSMC.
MSMC
- Low mag capacity with a high fire rate. The main problem is the slow reload speed, making it hard to use for pushing into multiple enemies.
- Can kill enemies with 4 bullets below 15m, but the high recoil makes it hard to hit players that strafe or move a lot.
- Very slow reload speed for its mag size, and using the fast reload mag is not advisable since it doesn’t increase your mag size.

3. PDW-57
One of the better SMGs on this list, but not the best. It is similar to the CBR4, same mag size and same play style but it lacks the reload speed and damage range of it.
The best attachments for the PDW-57.
PDW-57
- The main distinction from the CBR4 is that the reload speed is relatively slow, so if you run out of ammunition in the middle of a battle, you won't have much time to reload.
- It has decent damage at close range, allowing you to kill enemies in 4 shots, but the damage falls off pretty fast at mid to long range. Most of the time you’ll need to land 5–6 bullets.
- Has easy to control recoil in addition to its good ADS bullet spread, making it viable for accurate mid to long range shooting.

4. Pharo
One of the 3 SMGs that shoots in bursts, has high damage at close range and if you’re close enough you can kill with just one burst. The main problem with this gun is that the damage at longer range is reduced a lot. Although the interval between each burst shot is fast, the recoil of the gun is pretty high, and because it’s a burst type gun, it’s a lot harder to hit all the shots.
Pharo
- Has high and hard to control recoil. Each shot in one burst is affected by recoil making it hard to land consecutive hits on the enemy.
- Really good at close range and can kill most enemies in one burst. The hip fire spread is also pretty small, so you can hit more accurate shots without aiming down sights.
- It’s pretty bad at anything but close range. The damage and the recoil make it almost impossible to fight at mid to long range.

5. Chicom
Chicom has been buffed recently. If it weren't for that, this gun would've been the top 1 in the worst SMG category. The damage of this gun has been more consistent than it was before and feels really nice to use, especially if you hit those headshots. Although the buff made it stronger, it’s still weak against high mobility players.
The best attachments for the Chicom.
Chicom
- High and consistent damage, with a decent chance to three shot kill if you land a head shot.
- Fast fire rate, but the burst fire makes it hard to deal with high mobility players.
- Has really easy to control recoil and very accurate burst shots.
- Has really good damage range and can consistently kill enemies with 4 bullets at mid to long range.

Now let’s move on to the best SMGs you can use to dominate your lobbies.
1. Switchblade X9
- Consistent damage at any range, making it the best one to use if you want to win more games.
- Fast reload speed and decent mag size, and with its high fire rate, it’s really good for playing aggressive and high mobility players.
- Easy to control, so you’ll have an easier time shooting people from a longer range.

2. QQ9
The QQ9 is definitely one of the best SMGs to use right now. Not as good as the Switchblade X9 since the QQ9 has a higher ADS bullet spread, making it less effective at longer range, but still really good because of its consistent damage and high mobility.
QQ9 best attachments to use in the current META.
QQ9
- Easy to manage recoil but has bad ADS spread, so it isn’t as good at longer range.
- Consistent damage and can kill enemies in 4-5 shots at any range. With its high fire rate and decent mag size, this gun gives players a lot of room to kill multiple enemies in a short amount of time.
- The magazine size is really good, especially because it has a fast reload animation.
- High mobility gun and can reward players that play it aggressively.

3. GKS
The GKS has been one of the best guns in the past few updates. It’s a gun that has received a lot of love because of how consistent it is with its damage. You can kill anyone with 4 bullets at any range.
GKS best attachments to use in the current META.
GKS
- Has a really good damage even at longer range, making it one of the most consistent SMGs to use.
- High damage that doesn't fall off that much at longer range.
- You can consistently kill enemies with four shots.
- Has a slower fire rate, but the mag size and reload speed still make it a great SMG for playing aggressively.https://callofduty.fandom.com/wiki/GKS

4. HG 40
The HG 40 Has been buffed recently, and it makes this gun one of the best SMGs to use.
The upper body damage of this gun makes it have consistent damage even at a longer range.
Having a mag size of 45 and an increased reload speed really makes this gun shine.
GKS best attachments to use in the current META.
HG 40
- Really good damage and can kill enemies with 4 shots at mid range.
- Fast fire rate, good mag size, and fast reload speed make this gun a gift for players who like to rush into gun fights.
- Horizontal recoil is a bit hard to control, so continuous fire isn’t ideal. Repositioning after a few shots is the best way to use this gun.

5. CBR4
Although this gun has received a couple nerfs, it is still one of the best SMGs to use. The gun’s fire rate, mag size, and fast reload speed made it dominate lobbies. The gun nerfs didn’t make it bad, but made other SMGs better to use.
CBR4 best attachments to use in the current META.
CBR4
- Fast reload speed and really great mobility.
- With a magazine capacity of 50 and a decent reload speed, this gun is great for playing aggressively.
- Has lower damage range compared to before and is less consistent in getting kills with 4 bullets.
