In this article, we will discuss the 5 best builds that Aerith can use throughout Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

There will be different types of builds that you can use to master your magic over the course of the game, and you can use these builds to cover specific portions of the game, namely, Early, Middle, Late, and Endgame Builds.

There is also a Secret Build that I will be suggesting to you guys, which will greatly help you in the VR Missions portion, so be sure to read it until the end.

Without further ado, let’s start the article.

5. Early Game Build

Somebody’s gotta protect that smile.

As the name indicates, this one’s specific for the early game portion of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and you should use this build starting from the Kalm and Junon portions of the game before fighting the Midgardsormr snake up until the Mt. Corel portion of the game.

Since this is an early game build, her attack stats are pretty weak, so she can be used as a support in the backlines of the party, providing healing to the party.

How this build works:

  • Place Aerith in the 2nd or 3rd slot of the party outline (preferably 3rd) to give her a more supportive role.
  • Use Arcane Ward ATB to increase magic efficacy, i.e. use two magic spells at the cost of one.
  • Make sure to cast not just one but two Arcane Ward circles so that Aerith can have ease of teleportation and access to different points during combat.

Early Game Build Strengths:

  • Since the enemies will be at a lower level, Aerith will have no difficulty facing the hordes of enemies and will defeat them with ease.
  • Magic will be pretty effective from early on in the game; elemental enemies will be particularly weak to a specific kind of magic, which Aerith can cast it.
  • Even without the use of Magic, her Timeless Rod will have enough damage output to send enemies knocking away.

Early Game Build Details:

  • Abilities: - Chrono Aegis (Provided by Timeless Rod, which can freeze/stop enemies from approaching her).
  • Accessory: - Magical Earrings (Increases magic power by 5% and Increases Max MP by 3%.)
  • Weapon: - Timeless Rod (Equip Healing, Fire and Ice, and Wind Materia on this weapon)
  • Armor: - Copper Bracer (Equip HP Up and MP Up Materia on this armor)

Team Compatibility:

  • Cloud – Can use United Refocus, which divides ATB Bar into three segments and unleash more ATB Attacks for more damage.
  • Tifa – Can use Divine Punishment, where Aerith teams up with her to unleash a massive AoE attack that applies to a wide area and affects multiple enemies. It also raises Limit Break Levels.

4. Mid-Game Build

Aerith’s Outfit in Costa Del Sol

The Mid Game Build is perfect for the duration of the Mt. Corel portion of the game until the part when you reach Nibelheim. That portion covers about the middle of the game.

With this build, Aerith becomes significantly stronger than before and will be able to take on tougher enemies in-game and provide combat support as well, slowly giving us a sneakpeek of her magical prowess.

How this build works:

  • Place Aerith in the 2nd or 3rd slot of the party outline (preferably 3rd) to give her a more supportive role.
  • Use Arcane Ward ATB to increase magic efficacy, i.e., use two magic spells at the cost of one.
  • Make sure to cast not just one but two Arcane Ward circles so that Aerith can have ease of teleportation and access to different points during combat.

Mid Game Build Strengths:

  • Enemies will now be tougher than usual and Aerith will have a more active role during combat.
  • Not only magic but physical attacks of Aerith will also have an effect on her combat playstyle, increasing her basic damage output.
  • Wizard’s Rod is an essential upgrade that can be found in a chest in Mt. Corel and significantly increases Aerith’s overall stats.

Mid Game Build Details:

  • Abilities: - Enhanced Tempest and Max HP +200
  • Accessory: - Circlet (Increases Max MP by 10% and Increases Magic Power by 5%)
  • Weapon: - Wizard’s Rod (Can Equip the Materia in the following slots: Fire and Ice combined with Lightning and Wind, Empowerment combined with Fortification, and Mp Up)
  • Armor: - Abyssal Bangle (Can Equip the Materia in the following slots: Healing combined with Healing and Magic Efficiency, and HP Up)

Team Compatibility:

  • Tifa – Can use United Refocus, which divides ATB Bar into three segments and unleash more ATB Attacks for more damage.
  • Cloud – Can use Firework Blade, where Aerith teams up with him to unleash a massive AoE attack that applies to a wide area and affects multiple enemies. It also raises Limit Break Levels.

No Promises To Keep

From Nibelheim onward until the end of the game, this Late Game Aerith Build will be your best friend and will finally showcase the hidden magic prowess that she has within.

Taking on a more prominent role, Aerith is more than capable of taking the helm as a party leader with her skills and her role in the later parts of the game, as well. Not only that, she really becomes OP at this point.

How this build works:

  • Place Aerith in the 1st slot of the party to make her take on a more leading role.
  • Use Arcane Ward ATB to increase magic efficacy, i.e., use two magic spells at the cost of one.
  • Make sure to cast not just one but two Arcane Ward circles so that Aerith can have ease of teleportation and access to different points during combat.

Late Game Build Strengths:

  • Aerith will now eviscerate enemies on sight and be a force to be reckoned with, thanks to her fully unlocked magical prowess.
  • Enhanced Yggdrasil Armlet provides more slots for Materia, improving Aerith’s magic prowess.
  • The Magnify Materia now becomes available, which is essential for complete party healing and complete enemy decimation, respectively.

  • Tifa – Can use United Refocus, which divides ATB Bar into three segments and unleashes more ATB Attacks for more damage.
  • Yuffie – Can use Mystic Manipulation, where Aerith clones Yuffie to assault an enemy and grants unlimited MP for a limited amount of time.

2. Endgame Build

Aerith and the Black Materia.

This Build is for the Hard Mode missions, which become available after completing the 1st playthrough of the game, and Aerith becomes a force to be reckoned with.

The Hard Mode missions are known to be some of the toughest in Final Fantasy history, and having her become overpowered is just the right move to deal with the tougher enemies that the party will have to deal with, especially in Hard Mode.

  • By equipping First Strike, ATB Boost Materia, along with Chocoking’s Cape, you will have enough ATB to cast a max-level spell within an Arcane Ward, hence doubling the damage output that Aerith delivers.

Endgame Build Strengths:

  • Aerith will now eviscerate enemies on sight and be a force to be reckoned with, thanks to her fully unlocked magical prowess.
  • Enhanced Yggdrasil Armlet provides more slots for Materia, improving Aerith’s magic prowess.
  • The Magnify Materia now becomes available, which is essential for complete party healing and complete enemy decimation respectively.
  • Petrify Materia can also be used to build up Stagger on enemies, and Poison can also be used concurrently for more damage output.

Endgame Build Details:

  • Abilities: - Ward Shift Mastery, Enduring Ward, Not-So-Fleeting-Familiar, Max HP +200
  • Accessory: - Chocoking’s Cape (Fills up One ATB bar at the start of the battle.)
  • Weapon: - Plumrose Rod (Can Equip the Materia in the following slots: Poison and Petrify paired with Swiftcast, First Strike paired with HP Up, Vitality Up, MP Up)
  • Armor: - Hades Armlet (Can Equip the Materia in the following slots: Healing paired with Magnify, Fire And Ice paired with Magnify, Lightning and Wind paired with Magnify, and ATB Boost)
  • Summon:- Phoenix

Team Compatibility:

  • Cloud – Can use United Refocus, which divides ATB Bar into three segments and unleashes more ATB Attacks for more damage.
  • Tifa – Can use Divine Punishment, where Aerith teams up with her to unleash a massive AoE attack that applies to a wide area and affects multiple enemies. It also raises Limit Break Levels or you can also use United Refocus with Tifa as well.
  • Yuffie – Can use Mystic Manipulation, where Aerith clones Yuffie to assault an enemy and grants unlimited MP for a limited amount of time.

1. Secret Build

Farewell.

This is more of a Secret Build, which makes Aerith the Ultimate Healer and Mage of the Party, akin to Dr.Strange from Marvel Comics.

With this build, you can easily clear the post-game VR Missions needed for the Platinum Trophy, which is even more tougher than the Hard Mode missions that the game provides.

  • By equipping First Strike, ATB Boost Materia, along with Chocoking’s Cape, you will have enough ATB to cast a max-level spell within an Arcane Ward, hence doubling the damage output that Aerith delivers.

Secret Build Strengths:

  • Aerith will now eviscerate enemies on sight and be a force to be reckoned with, thanks to her fully unlocked magical prowess.
  • Hades Armlet provides more slots for Materia, improving Aerith’s magic prowess.
  • The Magnify Materia now becomes available, which is essential for complete party healing and complete enemy decimation, respectively.
  • Petrify Materia can also be used to build up Stagger on enemies, and Poison can also be used concurrently for more damage output.

Secret Build Details:

It also raises Limit Break Levels.
  • Barret – Can use Sweet-and-Sour Salvo, where both Aerith and Barret strike a pose and unleash a ranged attack where there is an extension in Staggered Time.

And that’s about it with the best party setups that you can have in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. See ya.
