With a strong culinary passion, a bear that spits fire, and a Pyro vision, Xianling is a character that has been gaining recognition for months since her release. Turns out, like many other characters, she just wasn’t getting the attention and opportunities she deserves. 

In reality, Xianling is an incredibly strong 4-star character that could be easily played as one of your supports in a team composition or as a very strong DPS that will help you clear the Abyss. Here we’ll talk about her best builds for every occasion.

5. Early Pyro Carry

(Early Pyro Carry build, start at minute 07:30)

This build is a variant from the previous one, and the reason you may want to use it over the one mentioned before, is that you get some extra Pyro damage. This is because you will be using two pieces of the Crimson With of Flames set and two pieces of the Wanderers Troupe set.

If your Xianling is going to be focused on carrying your team, you can use this build in the early AR ranks.

What “Early Pyro Carry” excels in:

• Decent Pyro bonus from the Crimson With of Flames set, buffing your Pyro damage.
• The elemental mastery you get from the wanderer’s troupe set is a great complement for elemental reactions.

Build Details:

• Goblet: Pyro Damage bonus.
• Sands: Attack % / Energy Recharge %.

4. Physical DPS

(Physical DPS build, start  at minute 00:28)

Believe it or not, Xianling can be a really good Physical DPS carry. This is because her auto attacks are many and she performs them quickly. Although this build is not the usual one you’ll see a Xianling with, it still works.

If you decide to go for it, you will need two pieces of the Gladiator’s Finale set and two pieces of the Bloodstained Chivalry set.

What “Physical DPS” excels in:

• Physical damage will always be a reliable source of damage against enemies.
• Even if enemies have some sort of elemental shield, chances are you will still take them down thanks to your elemental and burst abilities.

• Goblet: Physical Damage bonus.
• Sands: Attack %.

3. Crimson Chef of Flames

The name of this build pretty much spoils itself. Xianling is a character whose Burst escalates in damage quickly, for this reason, depending on your playstyle, you may want to use this build to maximize Xianling’s Pyro damage as a carry.

For this build, you will have to use four pieces of the Crimson Witch of Flames set. I like this build because you get to deal more damage when it comes to elemental reactions caused with Pyro thanks to the effect of the four pieces set.

What “Crimson Chef of Flames” excels in:

• Boosts your Xianling’s Pyro damage with her elemental abilities.
• In a team with Hydro or Cryo characters, damage will be huge thanks to the set bonus.

• Goblet: Pyro Damage bonus.
• Sands: Attack % / Energy Recharge %.
• Plume: Attack (This is invariable).

2.  Pyro Support

(Pyro Support build, start at minute 07:11)

Now, I believe this is one of the most popular ways of playing Xiangling due to how complete this build is for her. You are going to need two pieces of the Noblesse Oblige set and two pieces of the Crimson Witch of Flames.

The difference between this build and the previous one basically is how you prefer to play her. And I believe Xianling’s best position in a team is as a Support or Sub-DPS.

What “Pyro Support” excels in:

• You deal slightly more damage thanks to the two pieces of Noblesse Oblige set
• Because all of Xiangling’s abilities remain on field after swapping characters, this leaves room for another character to do elemental damage, constantly making reactions, which translates to more damage.

1. Pyronado Spam

Now for this first spot, we’re going to take a look at one of the new sets, which is really helpful in a support character such as Xianling that has a high energy cost for her Burst ability. That’s the Emblem of the Severed Fate set, which adds energy recharge and massive damage for your Xianling Burst.

What “Pyronado Spam” Excels in:

• +20% Energy Recharge, which is great for Xianling’s high-cost Burst.
• Up to +75% Burst damage thanks to the four pieces set. This is absolutely insane considering how powerful her Pyronado is.
