[Top 5] Metro Exodus Best Stealth Weapons

Metro Exodus Best Stealth Weapons
A dangerous world awaits. Best keep your head down!

Whether you find yourself in the claustrophobic confines of the metro tunnels, or the open, dusty deserts of The Caspian; staying in the shadows and taking out your enemies one by one is always a smart tactic when dealing with well armed foes.

In this guide we will be walking you through the best stealth weapons you can find (Or create!) along your journey.

5. Tikhar

Pump up the pressure, and let the ball bearings fly!

The Tikhar is a gas powered air gun that uses ball bearings for ammunition. Despite needing to be pumped to pressure by hand (before any upgrades), the Tikhar can pack a punch, and is an obvious choice of weapon for anyone looking to take out squads silently.

Why the Takhar is great for stealth:

  • High magazine capacity. Anywhere from 9, to 36, depending on magazine used
  • Completely silent. Enemies will have no idea you’re shooting their friends!
  • Very modifiable. Can upgrade anything from scopes, to an improved air system
  • Extremely accurate. When paired with the 6x scope, headshots will be a walk in the park

How to get the Tikhar:
You will come into possession of the Tikhar fairly on in your playthrough. Once you have reached The Volga, you will need to rendezvous with the engineer named Krest. Before you set off, the Aurora’s weapon expert, Tokarev, will gift you your very own Tikhar.
Tikhar stats:

  • Damage: 3
  • Accuracy: 16
  • Stability: 12
  • Rate of Fire: 15

4. Bulldog

The bulldog is far from all bark, no bite

This stylish, bullpup assault rifle is highly favoured amongst the Munai-Bailer tribe of The Caspian, and for good reason! We’d recommend a night vision scope plus a short barrel with suppressor for some easy, night time bandit hunting.
Why the Bulldog is great for stealth:

  • Very accurate. The long barrel ensures your bullets will hit precisely what you’re aiming at
  • High damage. Packs a serious punch, and unlikely to need follow up shots
  • Long range. You can pick off foes at some extreme distances
  • Good handling. Low rate of fire and bullpup design makes a very stable weapon to fire

 How to get the Bulldog:
You won’t find this weapon till about halfway through the game. Once you reach The Caspian, the Bulldog can be found, equipped by members of the Munai-Bailer tribe, tasked with taking you down. You’ll likely find your first one when locating Giul at the lighthouse.
 Bulldog stats:

  • Damage: 6
  • Accuracy: 16
  • Stability: 5
  • Rate of Fire: 15

3. Throwing Knives

Simple, yet dangerously effective

They may not look like much, but throwing knives (when used right) can be one of the most useful items in your inventory. At short range, these babies will drop an unarmoured foe with ease, and once the coast is clear, pick it up off their corpse to be used on someone else!
Why throwing knives are great for stealth:

  • High damage. If your opponent is unarmoured, they’re in for a bad time!
  • Noiseless. A hostile might not even notice if you miss your shot
  • Can be retrieved after throwing
  • If equipped with the Throwing Weapons Harness, it doubles your knife storage to 10

Throwing knives can be found throughout the entire game, but you can find some early on. Just after destroying the jammers, and bypassing the guards outside, the next indoor section will have a handful of throwing knives on top of a barrel. Happy throwing!

2. Kalash

The jack of all trades weapon of the wasteland!

As versatile as it is plentiful, the Kalash may be common, but mediocre it is not! As well as being useful in a full blown firefight, this variant of the AK can be completely overhauled to act as the perfect stealth weapon. A silencer and 4x scope are recommended!
Why the Kalash is a great for stealth:

  • Parts and upgrades are plentiful, and can be found throughout the entire game
  • Good range. 4x scope will allow you to pick off foes from a distance
  • High rate of fire. If noticed, you can fire off quick follow up shots

By far the easiest weapon to acquire. Very early in the game you will be equipped with a basic variation of the Kalash when exploring the surface of Moscow with Anna. The Kalash can also be found on human enemies in every mission and biome in Exodus.
Kalash stats:

  • Damage: 4
  • Accuracy: 11
  • Stability: 10
  • Rate of Fire: 19

1 . Helsing

Sometimes a crossbow is all you need!

The ultimate weapon for all your stealth needs. This bowstring powered tool will launch powerful bolts that will one-hit kill most enemies you encounter. Once upgraded with a high capacity magazine, you can live out your Van Helsing dreams in which this crossbow is named after.
Why the Helsing is great for stealth:

  • Very accurate over short distances
  • Good list of upgrades, including scopes, magazines, laser sights and bowstring upgrades
  • Bolts can be collected wherever they land
  • High damage. Most enemies won’t be able to handle the stopping power

You will find the Helsing about two thirds through your playthrough, when you reach The Taiga. Just after your railcar crashes into the river, a Helsing can be found on the back of a statue once you have made it to dry land.
Helsing stats:

  • Damage: 7
  • Accuracy: 16
  • Stability: 5
  • Rate of Fire: 7
