[Top 10] New World Best Perks For DPS
Destroy this beast, Stand together and we can win

The perks used in this game provide you with added protection and abilities. With a DPS build, these have a great impact depending on where you add them and to what. These can also be influenced by other perks you use. Therefore, you need to select your perks with some consideration.

The armor and weapons described in this list are listed in my opinion. There are many similar perks on a lot of the weapons and armor in the game. Thus, you can choose any that suits you. Explore with me the following perks for a DPS build and let me know your thoughts.

1. Keenly, Jagged Heavy Chain

Keenly Jagged is a useful perk as its bleed effect is amazing, it's useful in almost all situations. Draining your enemies is always a good thing. This perk can be found with many weapons and can also be obtained with random perks.

Effect

  • Inflicts Bleed on critical hits, dealing 10% weapon damage per second for 6s (7s cooldown).

I feel that this weapon may just be something to consider when trying to find something that works for you.

So, let's have a look at the Keenly Jaggered perk on the Heavy Chain Flail.

With every swing, its heavy chain comes down with a mighty force. With the added bleed perk it will give you a great edge over your enemies.

Gear Score 650-700.

  • 56 Base Damage.
  • 6.0% Critical Hit Chance.
  • 1.20 Critical Damage Multiplier.
  • 39.0 Block Stamina Damage.
  • 36.0 Stagger Damage.
  • 24% Block Stability.

  • Named Item.
  • Tier V.
  • Scales With: STR 90%, FOC 65%.
  • 3.0 Weight.
  • 3000 Durability.
  • Requirement: Level 61.

In my opinion, this weapon pairs great with the Keenly Jagged perk. It gives you a better chance at slaying your foes if you know how to strike, dodge, and repeat.

With further analysis of the usefulness of this perk, I would have to say the bleed it gives is better than most other weapons with it.

2. Health, Nimble Coat

Health is a great perk for all builds in Aeternum. It offers you a small health boost that can help you in most combat situations. Note that these perks can also be piled upon each other. With great health, you will have a better chance of succeeding in the expeditions and dungeons you enter.

Effect

  • +2.4 Max Health

Even though most armor can have a health perk, this one for a DPS build is worth taking a look at.

Slip on the Nimble Coat and feel its comforting embrace, it offers agility without compromising protection and still allows for fluid movement.

Armor Stats

Gear Score 700.

  • 437.3 Armor Rating - Elemental.
  • 437.3 Armor Rating - Physical.
  • Bind On Pickup
  • Tier V.
  • 6.2 Weight.
  • 750 Durability.

In my opinion, this is one of the best medium chestwears you can find and one of the reasons for this is due to the health perk. I would recommend it for all DPS builds.

On further analysis, I find the usefulness of this perk to excel over most others. It doesn’t really matter where you stack it, but one can never have enough health.

3. Refreshing Move, Serenity

This perk is great for many builds. The reduced cooldown allows you to use your abilities more often and this can lead to you doing a lot more damage to your foes.

Effect

  • Light and heavy attacks reduce your active weapon cooldowns by 2.5% (0.2s cooldown).

This perk is available with most weapons found in the game. It is a good one, especially for beginners.

Let’s take a look at adding it to the Serenty Greatswor

Whether the blade radiates a devastating aura of destruction, making your foes quiver, or, sends out a serene and peaceful aura, making all feel at peace. The blade never fails to do what is needed.

  • 8.5 Weight.
  • 3000 Durability.

In my opinion, this great sword is one of the best weapons when combined with this perk. I would suggest it to any player doing a DPS build who enjoys playing with the great swords.

My analysis is that this perk works well with a variety of gear and other perks. It offers no conflict and if added to the right gear or weapon can be most useful.

4. Enchanted Ward, Freedom

Enchanted Ward is a great perk, as it lessens the amount of damage you take from light and heavy attacks. This perk is great for almost all builds not just the DPS builds. If you are new to the PVP scene, this may just be a perk you could find useful.

Effect

  • -4% damage from light and heavy attacks.

Adding this perk to the Freedom Heavy Legwear can offer a great benefit.

Donning these pants will bring forth a sense of rare flexibility and freedom. They offer some of the best armor benefits.

  • 454.1 Armor Rating - Physical.
  • Bind On Pickup
  • Tier V.
  • 6.3 Weight.
  • 750 Durability.

In my opinion, a damager should at least wear one piece of heavy armor. As it offers more protection.

On further analysis, the heavy piece of armor should be pants or chest plates. Combined with the Enchanted Ward perk, you are sure to find PVP action a little easier on you.

5. Trenchant Strikes, Scorpion’s Sting

Heavy attacks always deal more damage than light attacks, thanks to Trenchent Strikes this is increased by a good amount. More damage is always a good thing don't you agree?

It is new to the world of Aeternum but looks like a perk worth it.

Effect

  • Heavy melee attacks deal +23% damage.

Even though it can be used on most weapons, it is suggested to be a must with heavy weapons.

But, We are going to look at the Scorpion’s Sting Spear with this perk.

This spear has a devastating past, on its shaft is carved “get over here”.

My analysis is that, out of the spears Scorpion Sting is one of the best out there. When adding this perk, it is a weapon of supremacy.

6. Empowered, Primal Amulet

Empowered is an amazing perk as it can boost almost all attacks you deal to others and monsters. Keep in mind, when using it, there are methods to take into account for maximum effect.

Effect

  • Empower you apply lasts 34% longer.

Take care of your build when using this perk. It may benefit you or may bring you down. For a DPS build it can do a lot.

Let’s incorporate it with the Primal Amulet Jewelry.

Be careful of the dangers that follow this amulet. Legend has it that a terrifying beast follows it.

Gear Score 675-700.

  • Bind On Pickup
  • Tier V.
  • 0.1 Weight.
  • 750 Durability.

From what I have seen you should not use more than four types of empowerment as if you stack higher it starts having a negative effect. Too much empowerment can be the failure of your empire.

On further analysis, I discovered that this has a greater effect when added to certain gear. For a DPS build it can bring solid strength if not overused.

7. Vicious, Inferno

Vicious is another damage-adding perk and this is always useful for all DPS builds. I hope you have good aim as this only adds extra critical damage.

Effect

  • +7% critical damage.

Even the healers can suffer if you have this perk and use it wisely my friend.

Within this staff is the harnessed fury of the flame. This can bring forth an inferno that can engulf worlds of enemies. Combined with good perks such as Vicious, you will stand above the rest.

  • Bind On Pickup.
  • Named Item.
  • Tier V.

  • 7.0 Weight.
  • 3000 Durability.

My opinion is that this fire staff is one of the easiest weapons to choose for critical damage. If you add the right perks, you can become a master and it works well with a DPS build.

After a bit more looking around, I came to the analysis that Inferno is the best staff for most DPS builds that play with them.

8. Elemental Aversion, Ghoul Gloves

As a damage build, you will face a lot of different types of enemies. This perk is made so that you can focus on the closer ones first and then on the others. It lets you take less damage from range and elemental attacks.

Effect

  • Receiving 4.5% less damage from ranged, elemental attacks.

Stand afar and defeat your enemies with style when adding this perk to your arsenal.

Become one with the shadows of the dark when you slip these eerie gloves onto your hands. The shadows become your friends and moving through them has never been easier.

My opinion is that this perk is necessary for most DPS and tank-type builds. It offers you great resistance against enemies from afar.

With further analysis, I have discovered that it is useful to at least have it equipped to one of your pieces of gear.

9. Trechant Recovery, Bunyan’s Axe

Trenchant Recovery is a great perk for anyone who likes close combat as it heals off of melee attacks.

Effect

  • Heal for 25% of the damage dealt by heavy melee attacks.

Heavy attacks are the aim of this perk, do not waste it if you can’t wield your weapon the way it’s meant to be.

“Have you heard of Paul?” If not, you must know this, he is renowned for his fine craftsmanship within these woods. Pure strength is required to wield this great axe.

  • Bind On Pickup.
  • Named Item.
  • Tier V.
  • Scales With: STR 100%.
  • 8.0 Weight.
  • 3000 Durability.

My opinion is that it is perfect for most close combat builds. It works wonders in close combat such as PVP but can be useful in PVE as well.

On further analysis, I discovered that this would be useful for Tank builds as well as DPS builds. It provides good healing for heavy hits and can have a solid impact on PVP playing.

10. Vigor, Djinn Headwrap

Reducing effects dealt to you is always a benefit with Vigor that is possible. 15% reduction might not sound like much but it could be the difference between life and death.

Effect

  • Reduce the base duration of Burn, Bleed, and Posion by 15%.

This perk is great for both PVE and PVP play, as it offers some time for healing when you truly require it.

Fill yourself with majestic spells and vigor that enter your being when you wrap this headwear around your helm. Feel the power it brings and then add the perfect perk to make it more enchanting.

  • 187.4 Armor Rating - Elemental.
  • 187.4 Armor Rating - Physical.

I think this perk is a must-try for all playing in the world. It may not be for all but it is an underestimated perk.

Even though this perk is recommended for healers, it can do a great deal for a DPS build.
