10 – Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler
While it may not look like it at first glance, this mace is one of the core pieces of so many builds and a powerhouse that gets increasingly stronger each patch due to new forms of scaling attributes being implemented in the game.
BLS works by granting you a butt-ton of flat fire damage to attacks per point of strength, and considering this weapon hits pretty fast for a mace and has a ridiculously high crit chance, it’s easy to scale overall DPS and cap your crit chance, despite being a mace.
And since it’s so common, you can look for good corrupted implicits, like more attack speed, higher crit chance, or even socketed gems being supported by something.
It’s a complete powerhouse of a weapon that will always be used as long as Strength Stacking is a thing.
What makes Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler Great:
- Build Enabling
- High base DPS for a Mace.
- Cheap and easy to corrupt
How to get Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler:
- Drops anywhere in the game
- It does not have a specific divination to target farm.
- It can be chanced, Gwennen’ed, and even beast crafted from Saqawine Cobra.

9 – HoWA/HoTM
I decided to put both of these claws together because they’re essentially mirrors to one another, with the slight difference of which Attribute they want you to stack, HoWA being Intelligence, while HoTM wants to stack Dexterity.
This results in having a completely different build and pathing for each, as with HoWA you’d go for an Energy Shield-based character, and with HoTM, you can either go for Evasion or Armor while also going for Life, instead of CI or Hybrid.
Both Claws, however, can be fantastic at granting a ton of damage, similar to Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler, in how you can stack a single attribute to reach millions of damage, with very synergistic items to boost everything seamlessly.
What makes HoTM and HoWA Great:
- Build Enabling weapons
- Unique Playstyles and gameplay
- Attribute stacking means you have a variety of ways to scale damage and defensiveness.
How to get HoWA and HoTM:
- The only way to get HoTM is by killing Esh in maps and inside his Breach realm.
- And you can only create a HoWA by transforming the item by using a Blessing of Esh on a HoTM.
- Both can be obtainable by The Breach Divination Card, which grants a single Breach-related item. The card drops from Null Portals in Elder-influenced maps.

8 – Atziri’s Disfavour
Once upon a time, this axe was the most coveted unique weapon in the game and had fallen hard in popularity. However, during GGG’s Unique Weapon rebalance in Patch 3.20, this iconic weapon saw a resurgence after massive buffs to its damage, weapon range, and a new and insanely strong line of +30% to Quality of Socketed Support Gems.
Getting extra quality on Support gems is exceedingly hard, usually only through Dialla’s Malefaction, and this, combined with the buffs to its DPS and range (which is over 400% increase), created several new avenues to build characters with unique properties hitherto impossible to exist.
What makes Atziri’s Disfavour Great:
- Has one of the rarest stats in the game, X% Quality to Support Gems
- High flexibility in builds
- Build Enabling.
How to get Atziri’s Disfavour:
- It’s a drop from Uber Atziri and cannot be chanced.
- As one of the most iconic items in PoE, it has its own card, The Last One Standing, which drops from specific maps and layouts, like Arena, Colosseum, Pit and the Pit of Chimera Shaper Guardian.

7 – Mjölner
This iconic weapon from Norse Mythology obviously made its way into most games, and Path of Exile is no different, having its own take on Thor’s hammer. It’s obviously lightning-themed and, once upon a time, the most expensive weapon in the game (over 100 exalts in Patch 1.3).
While it saw ups and downs in popularity and power due to balancing and meta, right now, it’s a pretty potent weapon that wants to be built upon itself, and while it can’t reach insane amounts of damage, it’s a solid weapon to be paired with incredibly synergistic items.
Mjölner works by triggering a Lightning spell (without damage penalties, which is rare) on hit, and it has an internal cooldown of 0.25 seconds that can be reduced by CDR on gear. It comes with a high Strength and Int Requirement, mostly due to Lore (with the hammer being impossibly heavy and ‘unliftable’) and some extra benefits, like +1 Chain and up to 100% Lightning Damage.
One of the things that brought Mjölner back into popularity was the introduction of The Squire, which essentially grants Mjolner 3 extra support gems!
What Makes Mjölner Great:
- Thor Cosplay becomes possible
- Build Defining
- One of the best ways of Triggering Lightning spells
How to Get Mjölner:
- It can drop anywhere, and it can be chanced or Gwenned.
- It has a single card that you can deterministically farm, called The Avenger, which grants a corrupted Mjölner. It drops in maps that have a variation of Merveil as the boss, like Mineral Pools or Underground Sea. It’s a set of 12 cards.

6 – Cospri’s Malice
Cospri’s Malice is the Cold variant, almost, of Mjölner. Whereas you can play Mjölner builds without being Crit-based, Cospri builds are, by nature, 100% crit, as that’s how they trigger the spell.
It also has a substantial amount of Cold Damage added to Spells and has the same internal Cooldown of 0.25s.
However, because you must be crit based and need a lot of Dexterity and Intelligence, it’s often a weapon used by Shadows and Witches, mainly focusing on two different spells. Ice Spear or Ice Nova.
It’s probably one of my favourite archetypes to play, Cast on Crit (which is how you play with this weapon), and can scale into infinity with a proper budget.
What Makes Cospri’s Malice Great:
- Best weapon for Cold Cast on Crit on a Budget
- Can scale into dozens of Millions of damage
- Fairly affordable
- Build Enabling
How to get Cospri’s Malice:
- It can drop anywhere and can be chanced or Gwennen-ed.
- It has a single Divination card that is somewhat farmable, The Whiteout. It drops from Stonebeak, the bird boss from Canyon Map.

5 – Widowhail
This beauty of a bow was introduced in this patch (3.21), and it’s a pretty, pardon the pun, unique bow. While it has no real damage or significant attributes, it’s a level 1 bow that more than triples whatever bonuses you get from your quiver.
This means you can have some pretty significant boosts, and it scales insanely well into the lategame, depending on your build. Things like Poised Prism, which grants a ton of damage from stacking all attributes, gets magnified by Widowhail.
Or quivers that grant an additional arrow now grant 3 extra arrows. Anything that is numerically scalable can be improved by this bow. Even not-so-obvious things, like Maximum Void Charges from Void Fletcher.
What makes Widowhail Great:
- Build Enabling
- Flexibility in its use
- Scales as hard as you invest into your Quiver
- Can use it right from level 1
How to Get Widowhail:
- As it’s a new item, it doesn’t have a unique card yet, but it’s very common to drop.
- It can be chanced and Gwennened.

4 – The Fulcrum
This Staff is one of the hardest uniques to fully utilize, but one with the highest upsides in the game. It grants you so much damage by inflicting elemental ailments on yourself at the cost of finding a way to become unaffected by specific elemental ailments.
It’s often an endgame build that relies on some pretty hefty, expensive items and crafting materials to fully utilize the item. But when you do, you can get 30% (or 40% if you’re an Elementalist) Action Speed by reverse Chill, 10% Ele Pen, up to 40% Phys added as Random Ele while ignited, and the best part. Your Elemental damage is Lucky while Shocked.
Lucky means that you roll the damage number twice whenever you deal damage, and the game picks out the highest number. This often means that you’re more than doubling the average damage output for high-variable damage, like from Lightning skills.
What makes The Fulcrum Great:
- Build Defining
- Can achieve insane numbers of damage and easy access to Reverse Chill
- Only source of Elemental Lucky Damage in the game
How to get The Fulcrum:
- It’s a Heist-only drop, from Thieves’ Trinkets or Currency Blueprints.
- It cannot be chanced or acquired in any other way, nor does it have a Divination Card.

3 – Voidforge
This beauty of a sword was introduced long ago with Uber Elder, and since then, has been a staple in many builds but woefully underestimated, despite Mathil’s best attempts. However, during the Weapon Unique balance, in 3.20, it got a massive buff. Its damage more than doubled.
Voidforge grants you 700% of Weapon Phys (this means attacks only) gained as Extra Random Elemental Damage, as well as several other valuable stats, but this is the core of it.
This means that any increases you can get from your gear, gems, or even auras, to Flat Added Physical Damage gets multiplied by 7 times. And it’s the perfect weapon to use Trinity with, as it cycles through all 3 types of damage, and you’d get a lot of Penetration that way.
You could even use Bloodthirst Support, which adds 2% of your maximum Life as added Physical Damage to weapons if you’re on Low Life. Which you can easily get with Petrified Blood.
What Makes Voidforge Great:
- Insane amounts of damage.
- Guarantees Shock with any Elemental damage
- Build defining
How to get Voidforge:
- It can only drop from Uber Elder and not be chanced or Gwennened.
- It has a Divination Card called The Endless Darkness, a set of 9, that drops from Harbinger Portals from The Beachhead, Infused Beachhead, or portals from Delve and Kirac’s Memory of Phaaryl.

2 – Paradoxica
This is the bread and butter of all physical builds or builds that can get their damage from other sources, like Replica Alberon’s Warpath or a high-level Ice Bite with 10+ Frenzy Charges.
All because of a single line: Attacks with this weapon deals Double Damage.
And just like that, this sword is nigh unbeatable in terms of DPS against any other, even, possibly, mirror-tier weapons. It has a lot of variances depending on what you Unveil, and you can get pretty insane unveils that will make your Paradoxica worth multiple Divines. However, even a crappy Paradoxica still retains your 100% chance to Double Damage. And that’s just insane for damage.
What Makes Paradoxica Great:
- 100% Chance to Double Damage with attacks.
- Extremely Build Enabling
- High Flexibility of use
How to get Paradoxica:
- Unlike most items in the game, this only drops from killing Safehouse Bosses over area level 78.
- It cannot be chanced, nor does it have a divination card.

1 – Annihilating Light
Well. And if you thought Double Damage was insanely strong, let me introduce you to the highest-damage weapon in the game. And that’s without a single damaging stat. That’s how insanely broken Triple Damage is.
It’s pants for any attacks, because most attacks scale off of weapon damage, and this Staff has next to none. So the biggest winners are the Spells, which scale based on Gem Level. And you can literally get over hundreds of millions of damage with this Staff, as a solo player and without an Aurabot.
It does come with a supremely high downside of having your resists being negatively multiplied, and you’ll need to fix that some other way. But if you can, you got yourself THE strongest unique weapon in the game.
What Makes The Annihilating Light Great:
- Triple Damage!
- Can turn a mediocre build into a Boss deleting build
- High Flexibility in its use, but it’s tough to deal with the drawbacks.
How to Get The Annihilating Light:
- It can only drop from Searing Exarch, both Uber and regular.
- It cannot be chanced and does not have a Divination Card attributed to it.
