Daru is without a doubt, the perviest character of the entire series. 

Calling Daru a pervert would be a compliment since this guy prides himself on the most farfetched and ludicrous comments known to man, which has irritated a whole lot of people, especially Kirisu, who is not shy about setting Daru in his place.

 Apart from being a softie at heart who loves hitting on girls, Daru is Okabe’s right-hand man who has followed him every step of the way. On a side note though, Daru’s perviness did get him married to a very beautiful girl later on in the series.

13. Hayo Maho’s introduction

Dont ever think of calling Hayo Maho short. 

If you hear anyone ever say, “Height doesnt matter”, you show them this video. Hayo Maho is by far one of the most intelligent and shortest character the series has ever made and by short I mean in terms of height. 

Despite her height, Maho has a raging temper and doesnt let anyone tell her what to do. Oh and she has a crush on Okarin.

12. Okabe Vs Kirisu

If you think you can win in an argument against Kirisu then think again. 

Now we all know Okabe likes to treat his lab assistants as animals, giving them annoying nicknames and ordering them around. However, one assistant aka Kirisu gives him a run for his money by her short temper and authoritative personality. 

Not many could do what Kirisu has done and that is taming the lion. Just by a phone call it seems Okabe has transformed from a demanding scientist to an obedient lab rat. We knew perfectly from the start, these two are made for each other.

11. Ruka gets a gender reveal

None of us thought this was gonna happen. 

Being called beautiful would be a compliment … that is if you were a girl. We aren't the only ones who confused poor Ruka as a girl, i mean how could a guy be this dead hot gorgeous? 

Nonetheless, Kirisu gets the shock of her life when she finds out Ruka in reality is a guy…. We’ve all been there Kirisu, you are not alone.

10. Suzuha being Suzuha 

If you dont wish to have your butt kicked by Suzuha, you better get on her good side. 

When you time travel from the future, you always have to be on your guard to not do anything to mess up the timeline. In the case of Suzuha it’s the complete opposite. 

In this episode you can see Suzuha meeting Okabe for the first time and later on almost choking him to death. She also pounces on her “mother” whom she thought was going to attack her father.

9. Lab Coat Scene 

Wearing a lab coat is the best feeling in the world, especially after you work hard for it. 

Getting a lab coat is everyone’s dream, who wouldnt want to look like a mad genius, am i right? 

Same case scenario is with Kirisu who “borrows” Daru’s lab coat and well pretty much later on takes it for herself. Okabe takes on shame to make Kirisu pose with him in their lab coats and look like heros from a Marvel movie.

8. Daru’s Underpants 

This is by far the most traumatic experience that Kirisu has ever gone through in her entire life. 

 I believe it’s safe to say that the most horrifying thing in this world would be to hold a pervert’s underpants. 

Poor old Kirisu had no idea what she had gotten herself into. Innocently grabbing into the washing machine and pulling out a white clothing that she assumes to be Daru’s lab coat…. It isnt seconds later that she realises it in actuality is Daru’s underpants…. YUCK!

7. The Banana 

To think that all of this wouldnt have been possible if it werent for the banana. 

 

Ahhh where it all started! The banana. If it weren't for this banana experiment Steins Gate would never have been discovered. 

God knows what Okabe and Daru have done to achieve their lifelong dream to unlock time travel but it's all thanks to a thousand banana’s sacrifices that led to their breakthrough. 

Daru did mention replacing the banana with a cucumber, dont know why he would suggest such an idea.

6. Okabe meets Kirisu 

The most powerful duo get their first meeting. 

Getting himself into trouble is something Okabe isnt one bit shy of and luckily for him, it is also the only way he meets Kirisu. 

In this episode Okabe couldnt hold himself back in starting an argument with his class teacher and if it weren't for Kirisu pulling him away, there would have been a riot. 

And well embarrassing as it is, she also catches Okarine talking in a powered off phone about a secret organisation that really doesnt exist. If i was in her place, i would run ASAP!

5. Moeka Kiryu goes berserk 

If you take an ipad from a toddler you would know how berserk they get. Take Moeka's phone and you've unleashed the beast. 

What we all thought was an introverted geek who couldn't get off her phone turned out to be more than just that.

Moeka Kiryu, a member of Okabe’s team who wasn't the most social and interactive type of person. However, she is very possessive about her phone. Take away her phone and you’ll unleash a demon that you wish never existed.

4. Amane x Daru 

Looks like Daru's perviness really did come in handy as he finally gets a girlfriend. 

Even a pervert deserves some love, am i right? In this case Daru meets the love of his life in a comic con named Amane and the two all at once hit off. 

It is extremely rare to find “The One”, but it seems Daru got himself a whole package when the two fell deeply in love with each other. In this episode Daru and Amane can be seen going out on a date and being very close to each other. Suzuha watches from afar and see the two rekindle their passion of love for each other.

3. Mayuri comforts Okabe

Mayuri really has touched our hearts and made us cry buckets of tears with her beautiful nature and heart. 

Mayuri Shiina has played multiple roles throughout Steins Gate, and it's fair to say, she has earned the right to be loved by every fan out there.

Her attachment to Okarin makes her quick to realise the hurt and mental unrest that he goes through on a daily basis. which can be seen in this episode where she comforts him when he couldn't find a solution to save her in the past.

Mayuri also could never forget the time Okarin stood by her side when her grandmother passed away, which was one of the darkest days of her life.

2.  The Final Leap  

Everything finally comes to an end... a bitter sweet end. 

One thing that really messed up Okarine’s mind was time leaping. Jumping from one timeline to another had taken a toll on him and completely tore him into shreds. Not to mention the part where he had to prevent the death of Mayuri and Kurisu at the same time. 

In this episode, Okarine takes one last time leap to change the future, where he could be with both Kurisu and Mayuri. The time leap was a success but sadly….in this timeline, there is no Kurisu…. A scene that has torn our hearts to shreds….

1. Kurisu and Okabe Kiss

We all never saw this coming but might i say, it was the best surprise that we could ever ask for. 

It was imminent that these two would end up with each other. 

After a very stressful and mind-exhausting journey to save both Kurisu and Mayuri, Okabe was at his limit. He couldnt take it anymore, the repetitive scenes of seeing the two people he loved so much die and slip between his fingers. 

Kurisu comforts Okabe that even if she does die, she would be alive in another timeline. However, that is not enough and Kurisu confirms her love for Okabe with a passionate and embarrassed kiss that makes all of us gasp.
