While the Mishimas will always be the poster boys of the franchise, these lovely ladies will always have the hearts of the fanbase. They each have memorable designs, charming personalities and deadly fighting styles. Here are the Female Fighters of Tekken 8 ranked.
Asuka Kazama

Asuka Kazama is a fan favorite fighter making her debut in Tekken 5. Despite starting off the list, she is by no means weak. She plays similar to Jun in her Tekken 2 incarnation, relying on defensive tactics with her own unique tricks. She has parry options, low profile stances, throws and can delay her rage art. In heat she gains enhanced attacks with her Nanina Gusto. Personality wise, Asuka is a spunky girl with a strong sense of justice. Her rivalry with Lili Rochefort never fails to get a chuckle out of me due to how over the top it is. Although Asuka does not play a major part of the series' story, she has made a name for herself among the fanbase.
Lidia Sobieska

Lidia is the definition of the term “Girl Boss”. “The Warrior Prime Minister” made her debut at the tail end of Tekken 7. Visually, she is one of the more unique female characters of the Tekken roster. She is older more muscular and even has a scar over her eye. She is a motivated individual as a devout practitioner of Karate and the youngest Prime Minister in the Tekken universe. Lidia is a stance focused character with many moves to pressure her opponent. She becomes even more dangerous in heat with her Heaven and Earth Stance.
Zafina

If this was a list of my personal favorite female characters on the list, Zafina would be at the top. She is beautiful, has ridiculous flexibility and essentially has Satan sealed in her left hand. That being said, Zafina is one of the rarer characters in Tekken 8 due to her complexity and unorthodox moveset. Zafina’s three stances can be confusing for the opponent and even the player if they don't know what they are doing. Zafina’s strongest moves also require a bit of your own health. Despite these hurdles Zafina can be a mixup monster in the right hands. With Heat engaged, her claw attacks become armored and the life drain penalty is removed.
Ling Xiaoyu

I'll be honest and say that I have a sour spot for Xiaoyu (gameplay wise). I am a King main and fighting against Xiaoyu is difficult due to her evasive stances. Xiaoyu can even juggle you with her back turned. I was so happy that King beat her in the Netflix Anime. My personal bias aside, Xiaoyu has always been a strong knowledge check character in the series. She rewards patient players who can outthink their opponent. In the story, she acts as Jin’s friend and potential love interest. She is sweet, bubbly, and has her own pet Panda. (No, I didn't put Panda on the list.)
Azucena Ortiz

I remember watching the debut trailer for Azucena in Tekken 8. Her coffee obsessed personality and MMA dance style was pretty entertaining. I also saw that she had many similarities with Ultra Instinct Goku from Dragon Ball Fighters. Azucena has an auto dodge mechanic built into certain stances that can frustrate the opponent. When combined with her high speed and mixup options Azucena can easily snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Alisa might not be human, but that doesn't make her any less of a badass babe. She is a state of the art battle android with deadly weapons at her disposal. She is the companion of Tekken 6 protagonist, Lars Alexanderson. Even though she is an android, she displays human emotions She is a beginner friendly character with long range pokes. She has strong mobility and can quickly close the distance on her opponent. In heat she gains access to her dual chainsaws which will cause a lot of blockstun and chip damage. You would be wise to stay on this robot’s good side.
Lili Rochefort

In Heat she gains empowered attacks including a low hitting Heat Smash. Lili’s main rivalry has always been with her classmate/potential crush Asuka Kazama. In Tekken 8, she gains a new rival in the form of Azucena with the debating coffee vs tea (Go team Coffee).

She is the caring mother of Jin Kazama and a powerful protector of the environment. She has been dead since in Tekken 3 but has made a reappearance in Tekken 8 Since the game’s debut, she has been one of the stronger characters on the roster. She has good stances and can even shoot lasers at the cost of some health. In Heat the health cost of her lasers is removed and she gains a quick long range heat smash.

The secret daughter of the legendary Heihachi Mishima. Reina’s debut to the Tekken franchise has been met with near universal acclaim. Her personality is somewhat split between a charismatic teenage girl, and a ruthless martial artist. Reina wants to take over the Mishima Zaibatsu to honor her father’s legacy (Which now seems pointless given Heihachi’s return). Reina is the definition of a rushdown character with strings that carry her forward as well as high damage potential. She has an infamous one button combo which can crush less experienced players. She has a lower skill floor compared to other Mishimas with a lot of room to grow at higher levels. Reina is sure to be a mainstay in the series for the future.
Nina Williams

Nina Williams is the original Tekken Lady. She has been with the series since its debut. She is an assassin for hire with questionable loyalties. Despite her cold standoffish demeanor she has interactions with many other Tekken characters. She has a rivalry with her sister, Anna. who is also a fellow assassin. She has been employed by both Kazuya Mishima & Jin Kazama. She also has an estranged son in Steve Fox (Long story). Nina is known for being a difficult character to master. She has many moves that flow into each other and requires strict execution. In heat she gains access to her twin pistols dealing significant damage even on block. Nina may be a no nonsense woman, but she will get the job done every time.
The women of Tekken 8 are strong, beautiful and have their own unique personalities. Series creator Katsuhiro Harada, has a gift for creating memorable characters from wildly different backgrounds. As of the writing of this article, Tekken 8 has one final DLC character to be revealed for season1. Thanks to the game's success, more seasons of content are highly likely and will bring new faces into the fold.
