[Top 20] Warframe Best Melee Weapons Ranked (And How To Get Them)

[Top 20] Warframe Best Melee Weapons Ranked (And How To Get Them)-01
Updated:
28 Apr 2024

Melee weapons are one of the 3 main weapon types in Warframe (the other two being primary and secondary weapons). You might think it crazy to bring a knife to a gunfight, but when you’re a high-tech space ninja from an ancient civilization, crazy is just what you need.

Warframe has a crazy assortment of melee weapons, from simple swords to Captain America shields, to hydraulic hammers. You name it, Warframe probably has it or will have it in a future update.

After sorting through the hundreds of options, here are my personal picks for the best melee weapons in the game.

20. Skana Prime

Image
Body Image

The trophy sword

The Skana Prime is different from the other weapons on this list. I didn’t pick it because it’s incredibly OP or because it looks good or feels good to use. No, I picked it because it is the single rarest melee weapon in the game, available to only a handful of players who have been playing from the start.

It’s essentially just for bragging rights, but hey, it works. I want it. Collector’s itch.

What the Skana Prime excels at:

  • Making people jealous:

Owning one of these babies means you’ve supported Warframe in its early stages. Fortunately, you didn’t just get a shirt. You get a spanking cool sword that practically no one else has.

  • Prime crits:

The Skana Prime has the highest critical multiplier (2.6x) among all swords, making this the envy of critical sword enthusiasts.

Skana Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 210 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1
  • Critical Chance: 26%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.6x
  • Status Chance: 26%

How to get the Skana Prime:

Well, you can’t. The Skana Prime is an exclusive weapon that was only accessible from December 2012 to November 2013 to those who bought the Master or Grand Master Founders Package. The Skana Prime has not been obtainable ever since.

19. Innodem

Image
Body Image
Now this is a knife

The Innodem is one of the newest types of weapons to arrive in the game. Dubbed as “Incarnon” weapons, these new toys have a special ability that allows them to transform into their Incarnon forms.

These forms give specific bonuses unique to each Incarnon weapon. These forms can also be ‘evolved’ by performing specific tasks with your Incarnon weapon, with each evolution giving your weapon even more buffs.

For the Innodem, its Incarnon Form is triggered by performing a Heavy Attack while your combo counter is at 5x or higher and will last for 90 seconds. Also, note that you need to reach evolution level 1 before you can even activate Incarnon mode.

While in Incarnon mode, the Innodem gains increased range and attack speed. Attacking while airborne while in this mode will fire projectiles. Also, when performing Finishers in this mode, you will receive a buff called Incarnon Resilience which gives you a 10% damage reduction (it can be stacked 4 times and will last until the Innodem reverts to normal).

Incarnon weapons are still very new to the game though so I didn’t put them too high on the list for now. Can’t really say how good they can really be just now, plus, they’re probably going to be subject to some changes since they’re new. Only time will tell.

What the Innodem excels at:

  • Being a sword?

The Incarnon Form of the Innodem basically turns the dagger into a sword. It doesn’t even become slower, the Incarnon Form makes the Innodem faster. Also, the increased attack range makes the Innodem’s Incarnon mode have the longest reach of all melee weapons (4.8 meters). Not bad for a dagger.

  • Bringing the pain:

The Innodem’s base damage ties with the Arca Triton with having the highest base damage among all melee weapons (not counting glaive explosions and gunblade shots), and that’s not even counting the perks from the Incarnon Form’s evolutions that increase its finisher damage or melee damage upon airborne kills. This is a terrifying dagger to be up against.

  • Tanking:

The Incarnon  Resilience buff is an incredibly useful tool for increasing your Warframe’s survivability in battle.

  • Everything else:

Each evolution grants the Incarnon form a couple of perks. There are perks that increase the weapon’s attack speed, range, and finisher damage, one even affects your Warframe by increasing its sprint speed. All these effects make every other dagger pale in comparison.

Innodem Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 360 (50% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 0.75
  • Critical Chance: 22%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 22%

How to get the Innodem:

Can be bought from Cavalero of the Holdfasts syndicate in the Chrysalith when you reach rank 1 (Fallen) with them. It costs 5,500 Holdfasts Standing.

18. Praedos

Image
Body Image

They remind me of twin Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disks… that don’t use cards… and kill

Two weapons on this list were introduced in the Angels of the Zariman update a couple of months ago, and here’s the second one.

Similar to the Innodem, the Praedos’ Incarnon mode is triggered by performing a heavy attack when your combo counter is at 5x or higher and will also last for 90 seconds. The default bonuses that this mode grants are additional attack range and attack speed.

What the Praedos excels at:

  • Parkour:

Yeah, you read that right. Equipping the Praedos increases your Bullet Jump power by 20%. Also, several of the perks from its evolutions involve improving your mobility by increasing sprint speed, slide, parkour velocity, and double jump strength.

  • Reaching far:

The Praedos’ increased range upon entering Incarnon mode makes it have the second-highest reach among all melee weapons (4.5 meters).

  • Versatility:

Always remember that you can go to Cavalero whenever you want to change which evolution bonuses your Incarnon weapon has active. Meaning you can choose the right evolution bonuses to suit your current needs.

Praedos Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 200 (80% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.17
  • Critical Chance: 20%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 20%

17. Sepfahn

Image
Body Image

Sometimes, you have to make the weapon yourself

The Sepfahn is a little different from everything else on this list. It’s not a whole weapon.

Warframe has a build-your-own-melee-weapon system called Zaws. Zaws are composed of three parts: the Strike, Grip, and Link. The Sepfahn is a Strike, the part of the Zaw that connects with the enemy and the only part that gains mastery rank. Decide which Grip and Link you think will work best with this based on your playstyle.

What the Sepfahn excels at:

  • Versatility:

Since the Sepfahn is just one of three parts of a weapon, the other two can make the whole weapon viable for pretty much any situation depending on which parts you choose.

Because of this, the stats on each Zaw you make will vary greatly, the stats below aren’t set in stone and will change depending on how you want them to. Want a critical-based weapon? A status weapon? A nikana? Maybe a staff? You decide!

Sepfahn Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 226 (65% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 0.92
  • Critical Chance: 20%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 20%

16. Pennant

Image
Body Image

“How do you even lift this thing?” you may ask. With the power of anime my friend.

According to Warframe lore, the Pennant was used by old Railjack crews to defend their ships back in the Old War. I guess every Railjack crew member was extremely jacked up because LOOK AT THIS THING.

The Pennant is an extremely effective critical-based two-handed nikana that’ll cut down your enemies real quick.

Emphasis on quick, the Pennant has a special effect where its attack speed is increased every time you kill an enemy with a heavy attack. This effect stacks with each stack having its own countdown timer before expiring. The countdown timer length depends on how high your combo multiplier was when performing the heavy attack.

What the Pennant excels at:

  • Critical strikes:

With a 32% critical chance and 2.4x critical multiplier, you’ll be seeing colored numbers fly every time you swing this thing if you add in some more critical mods.

  • Building up speed:

Despite being a huge, two-handed nikana, don’t underestimate its speed. With its special effect, you can make this weapon feel like a feather the way you’re swinging it. A feather that beheads everything it touches that is.

  • Stabbing and slicing from a distance:

It should go without saying, but the Pennant has great reach, able to hit enemies from 3 meters away. You can add in some range mods to further expand this.

Pennant Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 200 (70% puncture)
  • Attack Speed: 0.917
  • Critical Chance: 32%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
  • Status Chance: 10%

How to get the Pennant:

The Pennant blueprint has a 7.31% chance to drop from certain enemies in Empyrean missions. Here’s a list of these enemies:

  • Pyr Captain
  • Blite Captain
  • Lektro Commander
  • Glacik Commander

15. War

Image
Body Image

Not peace

Once belonging to the Shadow Stalker, this heavy blade can strike the same fear into your enemies that the Stalker did to you. Before you discovered Operator mode and started bodying him of course.

Despite being a “blade”, the War deals mostly impact damage. It also has an attribute wherein every enemy you hit that doesn’t get knocked out by War will get an Impact status effect.

What the War excels at:

  • Critical pain:

The War is tied with the Galatine Prime and Scindo Prime on having the third-highest critical chance among heavy blades (26%). It also ties with the Gram Prime and Paracesis on having the highest critical multiplier of 2.6x.

  • Armor breaking:

The fact that the War can constantly proc Impact effects makes it an amazing candidate for Shattering Impact which can make you quickly strip enemies of their armor.

War Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 250 (48% impact)
  • Attack Speed: 0.917
  • Critical Chance: 26%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.6x
  • Status Chance: 26%

How to get the War:

The War’s blueprint has a 2.77% chance to drop from the Shadow Stalker.

14. Broken War

Image
Body Image

Who would have thought that a sword called the “Broken” War would be… pretty decent?

Kind of ironic that the Broken War, which is literally just the War greatsword snapped in half, is actually better than the War itself. Stranger things have happened I guess.

What makes it better is pretty simple, it’s faster and its base damage leans more on slash damage than it does on impact damage. The slash status effect ignores all armor and is really useful against highly armored foes.

What the Broken War excels at:

  • Broken criticals:

The Broken War has the highest critical chance among all single-handed swords (35%) as well as a decent critical multiplier (2.2x). Cut down your enemies in a flurry of colorful numbers.

  • Using status:

Despite being mainly a critical-focused weapon, the Broken War still has a decent status chance of 20%. So you can still easily cause slash status effects or whatever element you choose to add to the weapon.

Broken War Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 187 (80%)
  • Attack Speed: 1
  • Critical Chance: 35%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.2x
  • Status Chance: 20%

How to get the Broken War:

The Broken War is awarded to the player for finishing The Second Dream quest. It comes with a free weapon slot and Orokin Catalyst.

For additional copies, its blueprint has a 2.77% chance to drop from the Shadow Stalker. Its components (Blade and Hilt) have a 0.50% chance to drop from the following enemies:

  • Summulyst
  • Aerolyst
  • Ortholyst
  • Conculyst

13. Nami Skyla Prime

Image
Body Image

For those seeking to be pirates of the Orokin (Orokean?)

Despite being twin harbingers of death, the Nami Skyla Prime doesn’t really have any fancy gimmicks. It just works really really well. And sometimes, that’s all you really need. It has decent criticals, high status effect potential, and incredible attack speed.

Combine that attack speed with the fact that it’s a dual sword-type melee, and you’ll be stacking up your combo count like nobody’s business!

What the Nami Skyla Prime excels at:

  • Inflicting status effects:

With a status chance of 34%, the Nami Skyla Prime is a status chance beast. Make sure to add tons of elemental mods and Condition Overload to fully maximize its potential.

  • Rapid strikes:

The Nami Skyla Prime has the highest attack speed of all dual swords. Your enemies will only see a flurry of blades as their last sight.

Nami Skyla Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 180 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.33
  • Critical Chance: 22%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 34%

12. Nikana Prime

Image
Body Image

Because of course a game like this needs katanas. It just NEEDS to

Finally, after all these years of watching anime, the time to put our skills to the test has come! Aside from it looking extremely awesome, the Nikana Prime also handles extremely well.

With equally large critical and status chances, it’s up to you how you want to use this symbol of death and weebiness.

What the Nikana Prime excels at:

  • Crits and stats:

The Nikana Prime’s critical and status chances are equally at 28%, amazing numbers for both. You can either concentrate on building the weapon focusing on one or the other, or you can make it a mix of both and still get amazing results.

  • Quickdraw:

The Nikana Prime’s attack speed is second only to the Skajati (among Nikanas). So, you’ll be able to do the classic anime trope of cutting up your enemies without them even realizing it, before collapsing as you sheath your blade with you back to them.

Nikana Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 198 (90% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.08
  • Critical Chance: 28%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
  • Status Chance: 28%

11. Kuva Shildeg

Image
Body Image

Can’t touch this

I wasn’t kidding when I said there were hydraulic hammers (there are jet hammers too!). The Kuva Shildeg belongs to a special group of weapons called Kuva weapons. You obtain them by vanquishing a Kuva Lich who has them.

Kuva Weapons have a bonus elemental damage (the element depends on which Warframe you used to spawn your Kuva Lich). They can be fused with other weapons of their type (for example, 2 Kuva Shildegs can be fused) to boost the elemental damage (up to 60%) and as well as switch the elemental damage if your second weapon has a different bonus element.

They also have the bonus of increased mod capacity when a Forma is used on it.

What the Kuva Shildeg excels at:

  • Having the Kuva Weapon bonuses:

The Kuva Shildeg, after using five Forma, will have a max level of 40. It also has the added bonus damage based on the Kuva Lich that spawned with it.

  • Critical slams:

The Kuva Shildeg has the highest critical multiplier of all hammers (2.7x). It also has a really impressive critical chance (31%). Making this weapon best used with critical mods, to maximize your damage.

  • Smashing skulls from a distance:

This hammer can hit people from over 3 meters away so a single swing can hit a small group of enemies and wipe them off the face of the planet all at once.

Kuva Shildeg Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 205 (49.02% puncture)
  • Attack Speed: 0.917
  • Critical Chance: 31%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.7x
  • Status Chance: 27%

How to get the Kuva Shildeg:

You can get the Kuva Shildeg by vanquishing a Kuva Lich that was generated with one. Liches spawn with a random Kuva weapon though so it may take a while to get one to spawn with a Kuva Shildeg.

10. Lesion

Image
Body Image

Teach them a lesion (gottem)

The Lesion is an Infested polearm with a sharp, bony blade on one end that will gut your foes just as well as any other blade.

It has the special effect of increasing its own attack speed by 15% and toxin damage by 100% for 6 seconds whenever it procs a status effect. This buff is non-stackable and does not refresh when you proc another status effect.

What the Lesion excels at:

  • Status effect spreading:

The Lesion has a status chance of 37%, making status builds its main focus. Add elemental damages and increase its status chance even more with mods

  • Boosting itself:

The bonus that it gives itself is incredibly useful. A 100% toxin damage boost is a huge game changer, and the attack speed boost is impressive too. With those boosts, all of a sudden, the Lesion turns into a blur of poisonous blades, ripping through enemy lines.

  • Hitting five Grineer with one swing:

The Lesion has a reach of 2.7m, so a single swing from this polearm can hit multiple enemies at once.

Lesion Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 237 (75% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1
  • Critical Chance: 15%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 37%

9. Reaper Prime

Image
Body Image

A gift from death herself

The Reaper Prime is a unique weapon, literally. It doesn’t have a base version, unlike most other prime weapons.

Embody the grim reaper with this high-critical damage weapon and send anyone who says that scythes are just farming tools to their maker.

What the Reaper Prime excels at:

  • Deadly critical hits:

The Reaper Prime has both the highest critical chance and critical multiplier of all scythes in the game.

  • Reaping souls RTA (any %):

The Reaper Prime also ties with three other scythes on having the fastest attack speed among all scythes.

Reaper Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 200 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.08
  • Critical Chance: 35%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.5x
  • Status Chance: 25%

How to get the Reaper Prime:

Like most Primed weapons, the Reaper Prime’s blueprints and parts are obtainable by cracking Void Relics or trading them with other players. A list of the Void Relics containing this weapon’s blueprints and parts can be found on the “Reaper Prime Wiki” link above.

8. Gram Prime

Image
Body Image

Metric system superiority

The Gram Prime may be a bit slow due to its weight, but as they say, you don’t rush perfection. It has better base damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, status chance, and range compared to its base counterpart. It may have a slower attack speed, but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

It’s an amazing weapon that’s a heavy hitter for both critical and status effect builds. It is also one of the highest damaging heavy blades out there  (if not the highest damaging heavy blade) when comparing base attributes.

What the Gram Prime excels at:

  • Raw damage:

This weapon’s base damage ranks second among all heavy blades (300 base damage). So smash your way to victory!

  • Crits:

Critical chance: 32% (second highest among heavy blades). Critical multiplier: 2.6x (highest among heavy blades). What more needs to be said?

  • Dealing status effects:

The Gram Prime has the second-highest status chance among heavy blades (32%) chance, making this weapon deal tons of status effects even if you decide to go for a full-critical build.

Gram Prime Stats

  • Total Base Damage: 300 (75% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 0.8
  • Critical Chance: 32%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.6x
  • Status Chance: 32%

7. Paracesis

Image
Body Image

Ballas’ folly

The Paracesis is also known as the Sentient Slayer. A nickname well deserved. Similar to Kuva and Tenet weapons, the Paracesis gains two extra max ranks every time you apply a Forma to it, up until you reach rank 40. But unlike Kuva and Tenet weapons, with every level above 30, the Paracesis gains bonus damage against Sentient enemies.

Another gimmick it has is that it can also clear damage resistances from Sentient foes. Really useful for getting rid of those tanky rogue A.I.s.

What the Paracesis excels at:

  • Dealing crits galore:

The Paracesis has the third-highest critical chance among heavy blades (31%), and ties with other heavy blades for having the highest critical multiplier (2.6x) among heavy blades.

  • Ripping through Sentients:

True to its nickname, this thing slays Sentients. For each additional level above 30, the Paracesis gains bonus damage against Sentient enemies. This weapon can also be used to clear Sentient damage resistances.

  • Modding versatility:

Since its true max rank is 40, this makes the Paracesis way more open to better, more expensive mods and allows you to better optimize or fulfill whatever build you want to use on it.

Paracesis Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 222 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 0.917
  • Critical Chance: 31%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.6x
  • Status Chance: 22%

6. Guandao Prime

Image
Body Image

Including cultural weapons in a game about space ninjas. Very educational!

When compared to the regular Guandao, the Guandao Prime has improved base damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, status chance, attack speed, and combo duration.

People often argue whether or not the Guandao Prime or the Orthos Prime is better so I can see a lot of people disagreeing with the placement of these two on my list. Hey, I had to pick one! They’re both polearms and they both have amazing stats, but the Orthos Prime relies more on status effects while the Guandao Prime relies more on critical hits.

I placed the Orthos Prime higher because people have done tests and it does seem to perform kills slightly quicker on high-level enemies. But admittedly, it really is a close race, just pick which one you prefer.

What the Guandao Prime excels at:

  • Wiping out crowds:

With a reach of 3 meters, the Guandao Prime can hit groups of enemies at the same time. With its fast attack speed, you can get in and out of the heat of battle quickly too.

  • Dishing out crits:

The main thing the Guandao Prime has going for it is its critical chance (32%) and critical multiplier (2.4x) making it a weapon designed to take out tanky enemies in the least amount of hits possible.

Guandao Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 240 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1
  • Critical Chance: 32%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
  • Status Chance: 20%

5. Orthos Prime

Image
Body Image

Twirl this around and slash like a majestic angel of doom.

The Orthos Prime features higher base damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, status chance, and attack speed than the base Orthos.

This polearm utilizes quick, long-reaching strikes, combined with critical hits and status effects to overwhelm entire groups of enemies in seconds.

Also, a little fun fact, there is an inscription on the Orthos Prime’s blades that says “The longest arm is the law” written with the Tenno alphabet. Even all-powerful space children aren’t immune to the infection of puns.

What the Orthos Prime excels at:

  • Crowd control:

Similar to the Guandao Prime, the Orthos Prime also has a 3-meter reach, allowing it to take on groups simultaneously. It has a higher attack speed than the Guandao Prime, so you’ll be able to move in and out even faster.

  • Procing status:

The Orthos Prime has the second-highest status chance among polearms (36%), making it extremely useful for spreading any status types you choose to equip on it.

  • Landing critical cuts

The Orthos Prime has a critical chance of 24%, which isn’t as high as its status chance, but it’s still more than enough to consistently deal critical hits even if you don’t make a crit-focused build.

Orthos Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 234 (70% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.17
  • Critical Chance: 24%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.2x
  • Status Chance: 36%

4. Stropha

Image
Body Image

It’s a gun! It’s a blade! No, it’s epicness incarnate!

Now now, some of you might object to this. “A gunblade isn’t a melee weapon!” You say. Sure, kinda. But the game classifies it as a melee weapon, so a melee weapon it is.

This Corpus gunblade, unlike other gunblades, doesn’t fire ballistic bullets. Instead, it shoots a wide shockwave with a limited range (17m). Don’t let the range limit fool you though, it deals huge damage (700 impact) and forces stagger on enemies.

What the Stropha excels at:

  • Delivering massive crits:

The Stropha has the highest critical chance and critical multiplier among gunblades (30% critical chance, 2.4x critical multiplier). Making its already deadly base damage even deadlier.

  • Crowd control:

Due to its projectile being a wide shockwave, the Stropha can mow down entire platoons of enemies. As a bonus, enemies within 1 meter of the shockwave are ragdolled, allowing you to follow up with even more pain.

  • Deleting shields:

Dealing 700 pure impact damage with the ranged attack is sure to make any shield-reliant enemies a non-threat. This is ironic as the Stropha is a Corpus weapon and the Corpus are the most shield-reliant faction in the game.

Stropha Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 220 (38% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1
  • Critical Chance: 30%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
  • Status Chance: 14%

How to get the Stropha:

The Stropha’s main blueprint is a possible drop from the Jackal on Venus (15% drop chance).

The components drop on various levels of the Granum Void. The levels they spawn on are as follows:

  • Barrel        -           Granum Void/Rotation C/22.22%
  • Blade        -            Granum Void/Rotation C/22.22%
  • Receiver    -         Extended Granum Void/Rotation C/29.63%
  • Stock        -       Nightmare Granum Void/Rotation C/29.63%

3. Skiajati

Image
Body Image

Strike and fade into the shadows

Excalibur Umbra’s very own tool of mass edginess. The Skiajati is, in my opinion, the best nikana in the game. Sure you could argue that the Nikana Prime is better since it’s viable as both a crit and a status weapon while the Skiajati is almost solely dedicated to status effects.

But what sets it apart is its special effect. Upon performing a stealth kill/finisher with it, you’ll gain invisibility for 5 seconds.

What the Skiajati excels at:

  • Stealth:

I know a lot of players don’t really care much for stealth in these games. But I do, and it’s pretty much the deciding factor for why I placed the Skiajati higher than the Nikana Prime.

  • Blazing speed:

With an attack speed of 1.17, the Skiajati is the fastest nikana in the game, cut them down before they even know what hit them!

  • Being a blade of status:

The Skiajati has a status chance of 30%, the highest among nikanas. This makes it excellent at placing any status effect you want on the enemy.

  • Umbra mods:

When you obtain the Skiajati, it comes with two Umbra polarities, as well as the mods Sacrificial Steel and Sacrificial Pressure, boosting the weapon’s base damage, critical chance, and as well as the damage it inflicts on  Sentients.

Skiajati Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 175 (78% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.17
  • Critical Chance: 19%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.1x
  • Status Chance: 30%

2. Kronen Prime

Image
Body Image

Hell hath no fury like a Kronen Prime user scorned

Compared to the regular Kronen, the Kronen Prime features improved base damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, status chance, and attack speed.

This fan favorite is definitely one of the best of the best. What makes it so strong is that Tonfa stances, especially sovereign outcast, are super fast and have multi-hit potential like no other. So you’ll be able to quickly build up your combo count while also dishing out status effects left, right, and center.

And to think that this weapon started out as a simple fan creation. It was created by someone called Datareaper, the same person who created Clem, and who passed away about a month ago. Huge respect for the guy.

What the Kronen Prime excels at:

  • Being blurringly fast:

With an attack speed of 1.17, the Kronen Prime ties with the Praedos with having the fastest attack speed among tonfas.

  • Status effects:

The Kronen Prime has a  status chance of 34%, making procing status effects effortless.

  • Insane combo stacking:

Since the Kronen Prime’s attack speed is already pretty fast, the stance mods will allow you to quickly skyrocket your combo counters, and follow up with massive heavy attacks to quickly deal with high-priority targets.

Kronen Prime Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 212 (80% slash)
  • Attack Speed: 1.17
  • Critical Chance: 22%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2x
  • Status Chance: 34%

Combos for days

Looking at the stats, you may think that the Xoris isn’t much. Its critical and status chances aren’t horrible, but they’re far from what the other weapons on this list are capable of.

No, what makes it so good is a special quality that it has. It has an unlimited combo timer, which means that your combo won’t go down no matter how long you stop attacking. You can stack up your combo to jaw-dropping numbers before unleashing it all in one big bang!

For those of you that don’t know, clicking the heavy attack button while a glaive is in mid-flight will cause it to explode, dealing AoE (area of effect) damage and immediately calling it back to you.

The Xoris is so popular, it’s not only the most used glaive, it’s the most used melee weapon in the game. It scored a whopping 6.13% usage in the 2021 Warframe Statistics. Admittedly, part of that is due to the Xoris being almost essential in the Granum Void game mode.

What the Xoris  excels at:

  • Massive explosions:

If you can get your combo count high enough, the Xoris can pretty much one-hit almost any enemy with its explosion.

  • Granum Void missions:

The Xoris is the only weapon in the game that can free Solaris in the Granum Void and grant your timer 20 seconds to be able to get more kills.

Xoris  Stats:

  • Total Base Damage: 120 (46%)
  • Attack Speed: 1.17
  • Critical Chance: 20%
  • Critical Multiplier: 2.4x
  • Status Chance: 18%
