CS:GO Announces Winners of $1,700,000 Dreams and Nightmares Contest

CS:GO has just announced the winners of the $1,700,000 Dreams and Nightmares Halloween art contest that started in July this year.

On 21 November, CS:GO tweeted out that the winners of their Dreams and Nightmares Halloween art contest had been picked and that CS:GO was “excited to announce winners for the Dreams & Nightmares weapon finish contest.”

Contestants were required to design skins for any of 17 selected weapons, and it was suggested that they take into consideration the rarity that was assigned to each one, possibly even submitting designs for all rarity tiers for a specific weapon to increase their chances.

‘Covert’ is considered the highest rarity tier, followed by ‘Classified’. ‘Restricted’ is slightly more common than ‘Classified’, and ‘Military Spec’ is the most common tier.

Following is a list of the 17 weapons, along with each weapon’s associated rarity level:

  • AK - Covert
  • MP-9 - Covert

 

  • MP-7 - Classified
  • Dual Berrettas - Classified
  • FAMAS - Classified

 

  • XM-1014 - Restricted
  • PP-Bizon - Restricted
  • G3SG1 - Restricted 
  • M4A1-S - Restricted
  • USP-S - Restricted 

 

  • Five-SeveN - Military Spec
  • Scar-20 - Military Spec
  • MAG-7 Military Spec
  • P2000 - Military Spec
  • MAC-10 - Military Spec
  • Sawed-Off - Military Spec
  • MP5- SD - Military Spec

The original prize pool was $1,000,000 to be split between 10 winners. However, after going through 15,000 entries, the decision was made to pick an additional 7 winners and to increase the prize pool to $1,700,000.
