There is a huge choice when it comes to mounts in Assassin’s Creed Origins. All of them come with different looks and advantages. There are 30 different mounts in the game. Most of the time they are used for faster traveling, but they can be useful in combat as well. . This guide will teach you everything you have to know about the mounts.
Mounts will be necessary while roaming around since the map in-game is huge. You will be able to find them all across the map. Some of them you will get by completing quests and some you can buy in the E-Store. But most of the mounts are available in the stables for purchase.
Mounts are divided into 3 categories:
- Horses
- Camels
- Chariots
Another way of getting mounts is by winning the Hippodrome races. By winning every race you will be able to claim rewards. Completing more races difficulty will increase, but so will the rewards.
5. Morning Mist

Morning Mist is a rare mount. This is an example of a little bit simple-looking mount, but even simple things can look nice. You can get this horse by completing the quest “My Brother for a Horse”. This quest is located between Silphion Farm and Leander’s Villa.
There you can find a guy named Darius who needs your help. He wants that you bring back his horse that was taken by Roman Quartermaster. This mission consists of 2 parts and requires patience. But your patience will be rewarded and you will get 4000 XP and this beautiful mount, the Morning Mist.

4. Hammer of Ptah

This beautiful horse is ready for action. Hard leathers and metal helmets are protecting this horse and will be able to carry you through the toughest of battles.
This mount you can get by completing the quest Killer of Shadows in the Hidden Ones DLC. To complete this quest you will have to complete previous ones in the Hidden Ones. This quest is located in Klysma Quarry, where you will find a papyrus on a workbench. This quest requires that you assassinate a character named Harwa and rescue a child slave. The reward for completing this quest is 8000 XP and the Hammer of Ptah.

3. Apophis Herw

Apophis Herw is a black camel with cool-looking accessories. If you are playing as a deadly assassin, this mount will suit you perfectly. It comes in Horus Pack, which is downloadable content.
The pack was released in 2017 and is one of two available customization packs. It is available for season pass owners. In the pack, you will get quality gear, including this bad-ass-looking camel.

2. Kweh

If you are a Final Fantasy fan, you are going to like this one. This mount is designed to remind one of Chocobo from Final Fantasy games. It’s actually a camel dressed as a bird in a post-modern style.
To claim this mount, you will have to solve the Sundial Puzzle, which is part of the quest Gift from The Gods. This quest is a result of crossover with Final Fantasy XV. You can find it in the Saqqara Nome region.
Keep in mind that this quest is available only at certain times of the day. You can speed up the time by using Dawn and Dusk’s ability. Completing the quest, you will get 3 cool items, and one of them is Kweh.

1. Unicorn

I bet you didn’t expect that you will see this mythical creature in the game. That’s right, you will be able to ride a Unicorn in the game. Leave a trail of the rainbow while roaming through the desert.
To buy this mythical creature, you will need Helix Credits. The easiest way is to buy it with 500 Helix Credits, which you can get by buying an edition of the game that comes with a season pass.
If you don’t have enough Helix Credits, you can buy them for cheap in the online store. Your other option would be buying special item boxes for rare weaponry at the Nomad’s Bazaar market. You can also search for special quests every day to earn rare legendary loot.
