How the Battle Would Go Down
This battle went down once before, with Captain America taking the loss, but only after losing his footing due to the environment around him. The fight was a grueling and equally matched one at that.
Captain America is incredibly strong, with his serum, he regularly benches 1100 pounds in the gym. He’s held and prevented helicopters from taking off, and he’s been able to bend metal doors and panels with relative ease.
Batman might not have the super serum Captain America has, but he has similar strength through rigorous training. Batman’s max leg press is 2500 pounds, and he can bench somewhere between 1000 and 2000 pounds. He shatters bricks in half with his bare hands, chops trees down with just kicks, and he’s even broken reinforced glass meant to stop a bazooka blast with just his fist.
Captain America can run up to 60 miles per hour, and dodge bullets at close range. While Batman might not be able to run that fast, he’s known to dodge bullets point blank and in some cases even show up right behind the shooter in a blink of an eye. Batman has the strength and speed that Captain America possesses, they simply got their physical attributes in two different ways.
Both are very capable of enduring high amounts of pain as well. Both have been shot and kept going, and have survived horrible conditions for many days without faltering. On the stamina side, Batman has fought for three days straight with a few breaks in between. He’s also fought in one on one combat for 28 hours straight with a new opponent entering the fight every hour, non-stop. He has some serious stamina, however, Captain America can fight for 24 hours straight and not feel tired, so he may be able to fight far longer than Batman could without his fatigue getting the best of him.
These men are evenly matched physically for the most part, with a tie-breaker leaning closer to Captain America, however, only slightly for his better stamina. When comparing their actually skills, Captain America is known to be good at hand-to-hand combat, but it’s not specified how many fighting styles he knows. Batman has trained in 127 different martial arts and has at times invented his own using his combat knowledge to better his opponents. In terms of hand-to-hand combat, Batman might take a slight advantage, but they are still probably very even.
If this were a battle of Bruce Wayne and Steve Rogers alone, Steve would most likely win. After a long and bloody battle, Captain Rogers could overpower Wayne and take the win, but we are talking Captain America and Batman each with their own suits and gear.
Captain America has his trusty shield which he not only uses as a solid defense tool, but he can throw it with pinpoint accuracy, and hit his opponents with it, making it a good offensive weapon as well. Other than his shield, he doesn’t rely on much else to win his fights.
Batman on the other hand has his armor and a toolbelt with gadgets galore. Batman’s armor has been known to protect him from bullets, stab wounds, bites from monsters, and much more. He’s also equipped with so many useful gadgets to turn the tide of the battle.
Using his suit and tools with him, Batman has a bigger advantage over Captain America in a one on one battle.
And The Winner Is...
Batman. The fight would be long and hard. They are practically evenly matched, however, in the end with the use of his gadgets and suit, Batman would take the win.
