Justice League, which is distributed by Warner Bros Pictures, is the upcoming American superhero film based on DC Comics Justice League. It will now be the fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe and is Warner Bros biggest movie of 2017. In July 2017, it was announced that the film was undergoing two months of re-shoots in London and Los Angeles, with “Warner Bros putting about $25 million into them (more than the typical $6–10 million additional filming costs).” Justice League is spending the same amount of time and money on re-shoots than a mid-budget film would have to shoot their entire movie.
The film was announced in October 2014 and is directed by Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, 300) and written by Chris Terrio (Batman V Superman, Argo). Justice League will centre around Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) as they assemble a team of meta-humans consisting of Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman and unite to battle the Godly threat of Steppenwolf who is searching for earth’s mother boxes and has brought with him his army of Parademons (as seen in Batman V Superman in batman’s vision).
Joss Whedon (The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly) is currently acting director of post-production, as well as screenwriter for the film's additional scenes and re-shoots as of May 2017. Zack Snyder left the project in May due to the death of his daughter. Justice League is set to be released on November 17, 2017 and will be the final superhero movie of the year.
The Cast of Justice League will include Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Ciarán Hinds, Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Ezra Miller, Willem Dafoe, Ray Fisher, J. K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen and Diane Lane.
