#7. Enhanced Scatter Projectile Targeting

A couple of things here; these mods stack and they’re almost necessary for PvP. They require 1 Energy, which makes it dirt cheap. They’re strong in Crucible as a method to win trades against other Auto Rifles. The only consideration I’d give- these work by buffing aim assist when you LDS. That can be good, but if you have multiple combatants, really detrimental.

Good For:

Improving Accuracy in Slow RPM, High Damage Rifle Class Weapons, SMG’s
Slightly improving precision damage/stagger

#6. Enhanced Bow Loader

I never really felt a difference between Enhanced Reload Mods and Regular Reload Mods, but the Enhanced Bow Loader is something else. This may be my favorite (but not the most useful) mod in this Artifact’s set. It’s cheap, effective (especially with the buffs to bows in general and Trinity Ghoul’s amazing catalyst), and easily mastered.

Good For:

Faster Bow Firing
PvP/PvE Vertical Engagement

#5. Unstoppable Pulse Rifle Mod (Arms)

If this was a list of the most influential mods, this would be number one (but in overall usage, it’s strictly endgame). To me, this mod represents Bungie finally understanding that the player base hates being locked into like 2 different endgame weapons. This lets you use an Exotic pulse in endgame activities with Champions, something unheard of unless it was with Outbreak Perfected.

#4. Breach Resonator/Rifle Anti Barrier Rounds

This mod has potential, especially paired with the Artifact’s Rifle-Class Shield Piercing weapon mod. This will give you melee and grenade energy when defeating Barrier Champions (situational) and whenever you kill an enemy with an auto rifle equipped with the latter mod. Free money.

#3. Solar Plexus

Apart from a great name, this Mod is just great for Solar subclasses. It increases the damage of Solar melee abilities and grants Super energy from finishers while using a Solar subclass. One of the stronger Mods in the Artifact, but very expensive with a 6 Energy cost.

#2. Oppressive Darkness

This could be a really strong support Mod. For 6 energy, Void damage from grenades weakens combatants. For Hunters and Warlocks, pairing this with a smoke bomb or Axion Bolt grenades is a great PvP strategy and not terribly bad for the rather intense Prophecy bosses.

#1. Guardian Angel

This is probably the coolest Mod I’ve ever seen. It honestly might beat last season’s Warmind Cell catalysts, because, for 3 Energy, you can spawn healing orbs with Scouts, Snipers, and most importantly, Bows. This eliminates the need for a Warlock to use Healing Rifts or for any group to have someone run a healing support super. I’m imagining this on a Warlock with the Devour/Nezarec’s Sin build- could be deadly.
