DOTA 2: How To Disable Help

DOTA 2 How To Disable Help

We can all agree that DOTA 2’s a pretty complicated game. It’s got tons of mechanics, hundreds of heroes to choose from, and even more items to buy. Valve knows this, and to help new players get by, they’ve added a Help feature that gives you tips and tricks as you play.

Once you get used to the game, though, the Help feature can get annoying. It can pop up randomly during fights or give you boring info that you already know. So here’s how you can turn it off.

Step 1: Open Settings

In DOTA 2, click the Gear icon on the top-left of your screen. This should open up a new panel with a bunch of tabs.

Click Options at the top to open the Options tab.

Step 2: Disable Help

In the right column, there’s a heading labeled Interface. In there, find and turn on the setting Disable In-Game Tips.

With this option, you’ve turned off Help in DOTA 2.

The training wheels are off!
