[Top 10] Fallout New Vegas Best Armor Mods

Was up, everybody! Your friendly neighborhood Shounen Man here with another list straight from vault 87 to answer those Fallout questions burning within you. The Mojave wasteland can be a very dangerous place. There are radscorpions, deathclaws, raiders, even wandering robots all looking to end your courier career before you can get that next promotion. A good thing to offset this is armor mods so with that being said. Here are the top 10 best armor mods in Fallout New Vegas.

10. Spice of life

(Where do they find models in the Mojave)

Coming in at number 10 we have Spice of life-variety armor and clothing Robert Breeze type3 by Nivea! Do the normal choices of clothing in Fallout New  Vegas leave you wanting more variety? Well, the modder of this armor mod had the same idea, so they made a lot of different styles of armor for both male and female characters. You have some wastelander looking styles mixed in with some of the more crazy Mojave fashion choices. There is even a raider outfit that has a head hanging from a chain on one side with a teddy bear up the other.

9. XV Sharl Armor

(Terminator eat your heart out)

Coming in at number 9 we have XV Sharl armor by Dae! This is a really cool variation on a suit of Enclave power armor. It has a very cool design with its lights glowing even in the dark. It has an interesting feature where when you take off your helmet you hang it on your back. It adds a bit of immersive detail that is really appreciated. It's a very well-made and detailed mod to say the least.

8. Road Fighter Armor

(Punisher made his way to Fallout)

Coming in at number 8 we have the Roadfighter armor by ThisMalkavian! Here we have another Hi-Res armor that is a beautifully designed piece of digital artwork. With a retextured tunnel snake jacket and a skull and cross bone painted piece of armor, this armor looks like something Punisher would wear if he went to Mad Max’s world. It is a dark gritty looking set of over that even comes with a skull belt buckle.

7. Joos Modern Armory

(Ready for war)

Coming in at number 7 we have Joos Modern Armory by Jackoo! This is an interesting mod to add to your game. You could add them just because they are well designed and make for some pretty cool looking editions to the already tremendous Fallout New Vegas. Or you could add them in an immersive way as if they were just the modern armor from back in the day before the world was ravaged that was found in some kind of cache somewhere. Either way, this is a great addition to any New Vegas playthrough.

6. Battlefield 1 Armory

Coming in at number 6 we have the Battlefield 1 Armory by C A E K!

It may seem weird to ask about another game but have you ever played Battlefield 1. The game had some controversy but one thing they definitely did right was the look of the armor/gear.

With this mod, you can add all the cool and beautifully textured armor sets from Battlefield 1. There are many options that allow you to take on that world war 1 look adding some cool history immersion in your game.

5. Fallout Battlefront Collection 

(The dark side can be felt everywhere)

Coming in at number 5 we have Fallout Battlefront Collection by Cpt.Rex! This is one of my favorite armor mods out there. The Fallout Battlefront Collection brings the great space opera right to the Mojave's front door. With all the armor from the Battlefront multiplayer added in you can look like many different soldiers from both factions in star wars.  You can run around roleplaying a stormtrooper and miss every shot you take. There is also a beautifully rendered Boba Fett armor which is a huge bonus.

4. NCR Trooper Overhaul Beta

Coming in at number 4 we have the NCR Trooper Overhaul Beta by emeraldreign, necronom, cabal, wjs, and dragbody! Do you like the NCR? Ever thought they were looking a little shabby? Well, this mod takes care of all your worries about the NCR's looks. With a stunning overhaul of the army's entire wardrobe, we have a bunch of beautiful retextured armor sets. They even add some new ones such as the medic and explorer. This is a great mod to have if you want a little spice thrown into your NCR.

3. Pipboy 2501

(Pipboy with that bling)

Coming in at number 3 we have Pipboy 2501 by front210! Now, this may seem like a weird choice but the Pipboy 2501 deserves its spot. Here we have a complete overhaul of the pipboy. With new HD textures that far surpass the vanilla pipboy's look. The mod comes with quite a few new skins that you can switch between as well as a new pipboy face that's lit up by a bulb under him. There’s also a menu where you can change the size of your pipboy on top of being able to activate a few fixes. Overall this is an amazing mod that really adds something special to your game.

2. Shogo Heavy Industries

(Ready for the next upgrade)

Coming in at number 2 we have Shogo Heavy Industries by BrotherShogo! There are so many amazing things about this mod that I'm not sure where to begin. This mod adds a whole set of new armor, weapons, and even a shop under good springs to buy it all. Today we will be focusing on the new armor. The new armor set's textures are all in 4k with an option for lower resolution. There are a few new sets of armor. One of them looks like a robot straight out of some cybertopia future while another lets you go invisible. There are so many reasons to get this mod as any of them will make your playthrough much more exciting.

1 Coyote Reflex Power Armor

(Only the bests of the best in the Mojave)

Coming in at number 1 we have Coyote Reflex Power Armor by Renard! This is my all-time favorite armor mod. The Coyote Reflex power armor comes with so many cool features and editions. This armor actually enhances your character’s abilities. You can have enhanced vision as well as be able to run way faster and jump way higher than before. This is also one of the best-looking armor mods out there with a sleek and futuristic design to it. You will feel like a superhero in this armor.
