FF14 Best Housing Items
Training your Chocobo is possible when you have a stable!

Although finding a lot for housing can be tough, but once you find it, decorating a house looks like an end-game of Final Fantasy 14. Don’t you agree my fella Warrior of Light?

Now, it took me 2 weeks to decorate my private room, let alone an entire house. Finding a house can be taxing, even for Warrior of Light, but don’t give up! If you happen to stumble on a free lot, and all of the sudden you find yourself owning a house and wonder what essentials are needed for your new player home, I can help you with that! This list will help you from outdoors need to indoors, whether it is a Free Company or personal home. Just say the magic word, nah, no magic word required, just scroll and read ‘til your heart content.

15. Miniature Aetheryte

"Anywhere that's anywhere in Eorzea has an aetheryte. Your estate is no exception."

Okay, the first item first, this is a must-have item. Place this outside your house so you can freely teleport to your house. You can get this item by trading your Grand Company seals or head to the Market Board.

14. Regal Letter Box

"Does everything the moogle letter box does, but with more majesty!"

Do you want a singing mailbox when you have new unread mail? Then this is your box. Having this furnish on your house allows you to access your mailbox without going having to search for Delivery Moogle every time you have mail. A much simpler option, right? This item can be crafted by Goldsmith, or if you don’t have one, you can purchase it on the Market Board.

13. Chocobo Stable

"A simple stable large enough for keeping and raising as many chocobos as you can imagine (if 512 is the maximum number you can imagine)."

This is the way if you wish to train your Chocobo and colour them as you wish. While the stable required you to clean it now and then, but it can hold up to 512 Chocobos. Buy the furnish on the nearest Housing Merchant NPC you can found for 125,000 Gil or Market Board.

12. Garden Patch

Deluxe Garden Patch—"A garden patch with room for eight beds. Comes complete with its own scarecrow."

Garden patches are good for extra Gil. This outdoor furniture will allow you to play a farming simulator: plant the seed, water, harvest, and sell the goods. However, you need to be mindful before you buy one for your house. You must first know the size of your house. Small houses, for instance, may only have 1 Garden Patch. As for medium and large may have 2 and 3 Garden Patches. You can get this furniture from Housing Merchant NPC, or the Market Board.

11. Orchestrion

Table Orchestrion—"All the music from your world, all in the palm of your...table."

There are two types of Orchestrion, the small one and the big one. This will allow you to finally play that music you get from the orchestrion roll! A Carpenter can craft it or you can visit the Market Boards.

10. Crystal Bell

"One ring summons the crafter of coiffures to save you from your passé existence."

Having your Aesthetician at home, why not? Then, a Crystal Bell is what you need in your home. Call Jandelaine any time at home, a beauty reborn! This item can be crafted by Blacksmith, or you can get it on the Market Boards.

9. Summoning Bell

"A bell for summoning your retainer."

With a Summoning Bell, you can call your Retainer from home. It has the same function as Summoning Bell you found in the city. A Blacksmith is required to craft this item, or the Market Boards is a choice.

8. Armoire

"A large wooden wardrobe in which sets of special gear may be stored."

An Armoire will allow you to store your special gears. This way you don’t have to go to the inn every time you want to store some wardrobe. The item is crafted by Carpenter, but you can always purchase it at the Market Boards.

7. Company Chest

"A communal depository for free company members to store and share items."

Storing your items from home, that sounds like a way to be lazy! This item will allow you to manage your Company Chest from home. Company Chest is made by Armorer or you can buy it from the Market Boards

6. Toy Box

"A toy box that is opened by sliding several interlocking pieces of wood."

Toy Box serves like Toy Chest in the inn at the Adventurer’s Guild, which allows you to play mini-games that you have collected within FF14. A Carpenter can craft this item, or you can buy it from the Market Boards.

5. Triple Triad Board

"An official Triple Triad tournament board."

The furniture will allow you to challenge other players without having to go to specific places. Buy this from Grege in The Gold Saucer or the Market Boards.

4. Flowerpot

Riviera Flowerpot—"A garden planter designed in the riviera style."

The function is similar to the Garden Patch outside. For this indoor furniture is also limited depends on how big your house is. For the small and private chamber, you can have 2 flower pots. The medium house and large house may have 3 and 4 flowerpots. To get this item, go to the nearest Housing Merchant NPC, or the Market Boards to see the variant.

3. Crafting Facilities

Cooking Stove—"An on-estate crafting facility for culinarians. Temporarily increases maximum CP for culinarians level 40 or below."

Crafting facilities are good to help you raise your Disciple of Hands. This allows you to get extra CP when interacting with the right facility. Depends on how big your house is, you can put 2 to 8 crafting facilities. These facilities can either be crafted, or purchased on the Market Boards.

2. Mannequin

"Once the nightmare of shopkeeps alone, highly detailed models such as this one have gained popularity amongst adventurers as means of selling unneeded accoutrements, displaying hard-won ensembles, and unnerving unsuspecting visitors."

The mannequin can be useful in many ways. You can use it simply to display your unused equipment and glamour or use it to sell the equipment. Yes, this means extra slots for selling other than your retainers. The downside is this won’t be air on Market Board, the better side is you can sell a set of equipment or pieces of equipment and no additional fee upon purchasing from Mannequin. Just remember to allow people to get into your house. Please note just like Flowerpots, there is a limit for this item depends on how big is your house. To get this item, visit the nearest Housing Merchant NPC or get it from the Market Board.

1. The Unending Journey

"A full record of your past adventures, in one massive volume."

This item allows you to see the recollection of the past, all the adventures you have done till this date. By clicking the book, you can revisit all of the cut scenes you have experienced in the past. This can be crafted by Carpenter or bought from the Market Board.

Things to note, some of the items on the list may seem redundant if you have both FC’s home and player home, thus some items are very optional whether you want it or not, and I leave that to your decision. Now, there are other things I haven’t include like NPCs, but NPC isn’t furniture, right, *wink wink*. If you don’t know, yes, you can ‘hire’ NPC in your home too and they are useful I must add! Or furniture that makes glitch other furniture and causing it to float, sounds fun right? Anyhow, these are the pieces of furniture I find important for housing, which of the items are now on your buying list?
