Welcome to Meal Benefit for Ninja, Class number…I don’t even remember anymore!
Today’s topic is one of the busiest classes in Final Fantasy XIV, Ninja! As Ninja has a short GCD and a lot of OGCD that will require you to focus on maintaining both to get an optimal output, which is why let’s scratch out those additional Skill Speeds as one of the statuses you want to buff. You do not want to add extra Skill Speed; trust me.
5. The Noodle of Elpis (iLevel 545)
A creamy, cheesy pasta dish topped off with a decadent bird of Elpis egg.
I will suggest you with Noodle of Elpis if you are aiming for lower-level content. You can get this food from the Market Board or have a Culinarian! But do note that this is a bit sub-optimal compared to the next food. Ninja attack speed is quick, and their mudra makes them a busy class, so you might not want to add more skill speed and mess up your rotation.
The NQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +8% (Max 61)
- Vitality +8% (Max 66)
- Determination +8% (Max 37)
The HQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +10% (Max 76)
- Vitality +10% (Max 82)
- Determination +10% (Max 46)

4. Coconut Cod Chowder (iLevel 545)
A Near Eastern soup, brimming with shallows cod simmered in silky coconut milk.
Coconut Cod Chowder, but of course, it is cheap and everyone’s (almost) favorite meal. It is suitable for lower-level content, so always have it on stock from the Market Board or cook it yourself! This food will boost the exact statuses your Ninja need.
The NQ status effects:
- Determination +8% (Max 61)
- Vitality +8% (Max 66)
- Critical Hit +8% (Max 37)
The HQ status effects:
- Determination +10% (Max 76)
- Vitality +10% (Max 82)
- Critical Hit +10% (Max 46)

3. Sykon Bavarois (iLevel 560)
Sliced sykon floats atop a fluffy bed of chilled gelatin in this tasty dessert.
Another option if you are not doing the latest content yet. This food is a bit sub-optimal for Ninja as it doesn’t give you that additional Critical Hit rate, but this will do just nicely if you have yet to reach the latest contents, and Coconut Cod Chowder can’t give you that maximum potential. You can get it from crafting or the Market Board.
The NQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +8% (Max 66)
- Vitality +8% (Max 68)
- Determination +8% (Max 40)
The HQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +10% (Max 82)
- Vitality +10% (Max 85)
- Determination +10% (Max 50)

2. Archon Burger (iLevel 580)
Concocted by the staff at the Last Stand, this sandwich is as nutritionally sound as it is delicious.
A less optimal food but better than nothing! You can grab your burger from the Market Board or have your friends or yourself craft it for you! Archon Burger is the substitute for Pumpkin Potage if it is somehow out of stock in all data centers you can visit.
The NQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +8% (Max 72)
- Vitality +8% (Max 74)
- Determination +8% (Max 43)
The HQ status effects:
- Direct Hit Rate +10% (Max 90)
- Vitality +10% (Max 93)
- Determination +10% (Max 54)

1. Pumpkin Potage (iLevel 580)
A creamy soup that highlights the rich and nutty flavor of the giant pumpkin.
This is currently the best food for Ninja (and many other classes). You can get it from the Market Board or have a Culinarian cook for you. If you are doing the latest content, you might want this food in your inventory.
The NQ status effects:
- Determination +8% (Max 72)
- Vitality +8% (Max 74)
- Critical Hit +8% (Max 43)
The HQ status effects:
- Determination +10% (Max 90)
- Vitality +10% (Max 93)
- Critical Hit +10% (Max 54)

These are the meals prepared for Ninjas out there! What do you think? Would you prefer to add Ninja’s difficulty by boosting your skill speed even more? I hope not! Note for DPS, always have Pumpkin Potage ready in your inventory! Pumpkin Potage is the real MVP for many DPS out there, am I right, or am I right?
