Epic Games has released more than 1,000 skins since its release close to 4 years ago. Fortnite is now known as the game of ’crossovers’, so you can play as popular characters from other franchises like Marvel, DC, or even Stranger Things. 

 

Disclaimer: This list is in no particular order, and only Item Shop and Bundle skins are included.

 

15. Master Chief – ’’Master Chief Petty Officer John-117”

Master Chief arrived in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 4. He was the 3rd Gaming Legends Series outfit in the game. He is a very popular character from the Xbox Game Studios video game ’Halo’, in which he plays the role of a war supersoldier. 

Fun fact: If you play a match with Master Chief on an Xbox Series X/S console, you get a Matte Black outfit style. 

How to get Master Chief: You can get him from the Master Chief Bundle for 2,600 Vbucks or separately for 1,500 Vbucks.

 

14. Zero – ’’Everything and nothing.’’

Zero arrived in Fortnite after the infamous stunt Epic Games pulled, where they pretended to have deactivated Fortnite for days. However, it was all part of a transition between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Zero is a humanoid form of Zero Point, with a darker body and lighter core. 

Fun fact: Zero was the first skin released in Chapter 2.

13. Ruby – ’’Sometimes you gotta shine.’’

Most awesome-looking skins are known for being quite expensive in Fortnite. That is why it is so great that now we can buy smooth, nice-looking skins for a much cheaper price. Ruby is one of the most beloved cheaper skins in the game, for her eye-catching red looks and complex design. 

Fun fact: If you like her design, you can get her in Ruby Shadows version for FREE from the Street Shadows Challenge Pack. (expired on June 17). 

How to get Ruby: You can get Ruby for 1,200 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

12. Venom – ’’They're a complicated relationship.’’

Venom first appeared in Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 4 as a Marvel Series outfit. Venom is the infamous villain from the Spider-Man universe and the recent Sony film called ’Venom’. If you do not mind using huge skins, he is a great unique choice for your gameplay. 

Fun fact: Venom has a built-in harvesting tool and an emote that only he can use. 

How to get Venom: You can get him for 2,000 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

11. Isabelle – ’’Voted "Most Likely To Succeed... Or Burn the Place Down."

Isabelle was released during Chapter 2 Season 6. She is a great choice if you like diversity. She is a double spy – one moment she can be a regular school girl and the next moment she is a mage assassin. Her outfits also have many different colors, so this skin has lots of styles to choose from. 

Fun fact: Isabelle was made based on concept art from creator @D3NNI_YT.

How to get Isabelle: You can get Isabelle for 1,500 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

10. Infinity – ’’Victory is in the stars.’’

Infinity was released in Season X. He is a cosmic entity, and his body is filled with cosmic energy. His head has a sphere inside, probably from the Zero Point. 

Fun fact: In the loading screen Junk Storm, he is attacking other characters, so he might be an enemy in Fortnite’s storyline. 

How to get Infinity: You can get him for 1,500 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

9. Xenomorph – ’’If you see it coming, it’s already too late.”

Xenomorph first appeared in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 5. It is a replica of the monster from the iconic movie franchise ’Alien’. The character model is enormous, so it might not be the best choice for competitive gameplay, but if you play Fortnite for fun and you like outstanding outfits, it is a perfect choice. 

Fun fact: This skin was the 2nd collaboration that was leaked by PlayStation accidentally ahead of its release.

8. Astro Jack – ’’Out of this world.”

Astro Jack is a skin from Chapter 2 Season 2. He is part of the Icon Series Set because he is the astronaut mascot from one of Travis Scott’s songs called ’Astroworld’. He has 2 outfit styles, one resembling outer space and another one resembling a planet. 

Fun fact: Astro Jack is reactive, whenever he gets damaged by opponents. 

How to get Astro Jack: You can get him for 2,000 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

7. Deadeye – ’’Bounty hunter from beyond the grave.”

Deadeye is from Chapter 2 Season 1. He is a spectral character with a pulsating black and blue body and no face. The animations and effects look incredibly cool and detailed on his body. This skin is a great choice during the Halloween season. 

Fun fact: Deadeye is the ghost of a dead bounty hunter.

6. Kylo Ren – ’’Supreme Leader of the First Order.”

Kylo Ren was released during Chapter 2 Season 1 as part of the Star Wars Series. He is based on the supreme leader from the Star Wars movie franchise. He is also a part of the Fortnite X Star Wars crossover, which has many other skins, so if Kylo is not your preferred choice, you have many others to choose from. 

Fun fact: Kylo Ren is the main antagonist in the Fortnite X Star Wars crossover. 

How to get Kylo Ren: You can get him for 1,500 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

5. Marshmello – ’’Start the party.”

Ever since Fortnite first started doing crossovers and releasing Icon Series skins, they have not slowed down. Marshmello is one of the Icon Series skins in Fortnite. He is a replica of the famous DJ Christopher Comstock whose artistic name is Marshmello. He was released in Season 7 as a part of the Marshmello Set. 

Fun fact: He was the first skin to be a part of the Icon Series. Before that, he was a regular Epic skin. 

How to get Marshmello: You can get him from the Marshmello bundle for 2,300 Vbucks or you can get him separately for 1,500 Vbucks.

 

4. Cyclo – ’’Defy the storm.”

Cyclo is a Chapter 2 Season 2 Legendary skin. He is a remixed version of the Tempest which was built by the character Midas. Cyclo’s body has storm and thunder inside of him that have beautiful purple colors. 

Fun fact: His head looks similar to the resource ’Eye of the Storm’ found in the ’Save the World’ mode of Fortnite.

How to get Cyclo: You can get him for 2,000 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

3. Kratos – ’’I am what the gods made me.”

Earlier on the list, we talked about an Xbox Game Studios character Master Chief, now it is time to talk about a PlayStation Studios character: Kratos. Kratos is a legendary video game character from the video game series God of War, and he arrived in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 5. He is a great choice for fans of the series, especially fans of the 2018 entry released on PlayStation 4. Many key elements of the game are included in this bundle, such as the Leviathan Axe with beautiful ice animations. 

Fun fact: The gold armored style, which you can see in the picture above, can be earned if you play a Fortnite match with this skin equipped on the recently released PlayStation 5 console. 

How to get Kratos: You can get him for 2,200 Vbucks from the Kratos Bundle or buy him separately for 1,500 Vbucks from the Item Shop.

 

2. Black Panther – ’’The rightful king of Wakanda.”

Ever since Chapter 2 Season 4, the season that completely focused on Marvel and its characters, there has been no shortage of MCU characters in Fortnite. You can get them from Battle Passes, the Item Shop, even Bundles. What’s cool about it is that not only mainstream, but lesser-known characters get the spotlight in Fortnite like Storm and She-Hulk. 

Fun fact: Fortnite created a panther statue in-game to pay their respects to Chadwick Boseman after his unfortunate passing. 

How to get Black Panther: As of right now, Black Panther cannot be purchased, but if Fortnite decides to re-release the Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack, you can get him for $24.99, which also includes Captain Marvel and Taskmaster.

 

1. Midas – ’’All that glitters is yours.”

Midas was the tier 100 skin during Chapter 2 Season 2. He is one of the most beloved tier 100 characters in Fortnite history, and there are lots of fan stories and fan theories about him. His style is not as extravagant as other skins’ styles on this list, yet it is still slick and good-looking. Of course, we know from old legends about how Midas’ touch turns everything to gold. While he does not quite do that in Fortnite, he has an outfit style where his whole body turns to gold. 

Fun fact: As I have said, he has a lot of lore and story in the Fortnite universe. You can find a lot more about him online. 

How to get Midas: You cannot get him anymore since Chapter 2 Season 2 is over, but you can get different versions of him through packs, like Midas Rex from The Last Laugh Bundle for $30.
