[Top 5] Mass Effect 3 Best Shoulder Armor (And How To Get Them)

Show those gains

You're going to want your Commander Shepard to be wearing a full set of armor. With all the sections, it can be easy to forget about the shoulder pieces, and you have a variety of choices, both practical and aesthetically. But which is the best?

You could use the default N7 shoulders all week, but doing so would prevent you from taking advantage of a number of perks that will help you shred Reaper and Cerberus forces alike.

Read on as we examine the top 5 shoulders in the game, discussing their advantages and the best-fitting classes for each.

1. Hahne-Kedar Shoulders

The Hahne-Kedar shoulder pieces are the right choice if you wish to rely on outputting as much weapon damage as possible. It is available at the Elkoss Combine Supplies Terminal once you complete the mission. Priority: Rannoch.

This is a fantastic option to combine with ammunition power or precise headshots. With power-based characters, you can use this to a lesser degree because it will let you choose the lightest weapon while not drastically reducing your damage.

Stats:

  • Increase weapon damage by 10%

Best class:

  • Soldier
  • Vanguard
  • Infiltrator

2. Serrice Council Shoulders

The Serrice Council shoulders are not the worst-looking item overall, and those who want to boost their power damage should use them. You can find it during Kallini: Ardat-Yakshi Monastery at the midpoint of the game. You can collect it after facing the Banshee near the Disciple pistol.

Stats:

  • 10% power damage increase

Best class:

  • Adept
  • Engineer

3. Kassa Fabrication (Shoulders)

If you constantly wait for your shield to regenerate, the Kassa Fabrication Shoulders are a perfect option for you. They are also easy to find, as they will be available to buy from the Cipritine Armory terminal after Priority: Tuchanka is completed.

These shoulders are great as they will give you a boost to your shields, which can make the difference when in a tough spot.

Stats:

  • 10% increase shield regeneration speed

Best class:

  • Infiltrator
  • Vanguard

4. Armax Arsenal (Shoulders)

Where to find the shoulders

If you find yourself nailing headshots, the Armax Arsenal Shoulders are a decent option. You can pick them up for free during Priority: Palaven, at the starting area of the mission, or purchase them from the Cipritine Armory if you manage to miss them.

These shoulders are fantastic because they not only increase weapon damage but also provide bonus headshot damage. This can be useful if you sacrifice using a high-powered sniper rifle for an option with a larger clip.

  • Increase weapon damage by 5%
  • Increase headshot damage by 10%

Best Class:

  • Soldier
  • Infiltrator

These shoulders are useful for practically all classes, as they will allow you to increase your power recharge speed. Which can be handy if you want to try out a heavier weapon than you normally would.
