NBA 2K19 Best Dribble Moves
Guide To Becoming a Dribble God

What are the best dribble moves in NBA 2K19?

For guards and swing players, dribbling is essential. In order to be the best, you have to play like the best.

This article will help shine light on those hard-to-pick dribble moves for players that may be struggling. Remember, these are offensive weapons, meaning that you need to use each move depending on the situation.

Abusing these moves can, sometimes, lead to more harm than good.

9. Behind the Back – Pro 6

Pro 6 dribble packages are amongst the most popular dribble moves. The Pro 6 behind the back move is a great move to do before pulling up for a shot because of how fast the move is. The move is quick enough to be a go-to dribble move. On top of that, it’s also effective enough to pull off some show-stopping ankle breakers with. This move is a real crowd pleaser.

8. Hesitation – Pro 2

Every 2K fanatic, and basketball player in general, knows that the point of a hesitation move is to throw your defender off guard. If you want to dribble like a dribble god, such as Kyrie Irving or Chris Paul, then you need a lethal hesitation move, and Pro 2 is that. Every time you use this move, it looks as if you’re either going to shoot the ball or keep driving in the opposite direction, and that’s exactly what you want.

7. Standing Size Up Combo – Kemba Walker

I believe that size up combos are 50% feeling out your defender and 50% flash. Kemba Walker’s size up does both because its a move that you can spam over and over again to the point where it kind of looks like a glitch. It may infuriate your defender, but that’s the point of finding the best moves, right? To gain an advantage.

6. Moving Spin – Pro 4

As explained previously, this move is very glitch-like which can cause a raging defender. You can literally break out of this spin whenever you want, causing confusion with the defender. Do you know how hard it is to guard someone that keeps spinning and can start and stop whenever he sees the slightest slip up from the defender?

5. Size Up Packages – Pro 2

The Pro 2 size up package creates an enormous amount of space. Mix that in with some “zig zag cheese” and you’ve got a pretty unguardable move. When you perform this move consecutively, most defenders just simply aren’t quick enough to keep up with the constant bouncing back and forth by the ball handler.

4. Double Hesitations – Kemba Walker

Another Kemba Walker dribble move means you’re going to be breaking more ankles! This move breaks an unfair amount of ankles. I can guarantee that if you string this move together with itself a couple times (as in spamming the move), you’re going to have the defenders stumbling.

3. Double Between the Legs – Steph Curry

The reason this one is so great is because of how much space it creates. You practically run away from your defender in the matter of seconds which is virtually impossible to guard. By the time the defender has realized that you’re no longer in front of him, you’ll already be jumping for your shot. An open shot, I might add.

2. Double Behind the Back – Jamal Crawford/Steph Curry

These 2 double behind the back crossovers have seemed to be everybody’s favorite dribble moves since, maybe, NBA 2K17. These moves create an absurd amount of space and they’re so glitchy, even still. You can break ankles with this move and, unless you dribble right into the defender, you can’t get the ball ripped from you. The effectiveness of these 2 moves make it impossible to rank one higher than the other.

1. Moving Crossover – Any Elite Crossover

The holy grail of any ball handler and his repertoire of moves is the crossover. It’s no different in NBA 2K, either. A deadly crossover equals a deadly player. The deadliest crossovers all consist of the ‘Elite’ crossovers. You can do a momentum cross and leave your defender in the dust or shake them to the ground with a bone snapping cross. This makes the crossover the most basic and versatile dribble move in NBA 2K19.
