Which one is the best solo class in Ragnarok Online?
So you want to make any content in the game, traverse maps like a hurricane and crush any MVP (boss)? In this article, I am going to tell you which are the 7 best classes that can stand alone anywhere in Rune-Midgard.
Please note: This includes information about the 4th class jobs. A lot of new stuff has come to some servers recently. If you don't know these classes yet, take advantage of these tips to learn a little more about them.
7 - Elemental Master
The Elemental Master
In the last place on this list, we have the Elemental Masters, the evolution of Sorcerers. Truth be told, Sorcerers have always been in a good place to perform content. The class has a huge amount of resources, very strong skills, and great equipment.
Besides being able to make the terrain immune to spells, recover SP infinitely, and increase elemental damage considerably, their strongest ability, Psychic Wave, can be changed to any element, greatly increasing damage against creatures of the opposite element.
The new elementals that can be summoned by the Elemental Master increase this damage even more. It is incredibly efficient to make content with the class, even to farm. Here's a tip: By using equipment to reduce the cooldown of the Psychic Wave to 0, you can teleport constantly across maps, spreading multiple Psychic Waves. You are going to kill monsters without even being on the same screen as them!
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- Lots of resources.
- High elemental damage.
- Continuous AOE damage. Even after leaving the screen.
6 - Shadow Cross
The old favorite. If you play or have played Ragnarok, I am sure you have some relationship with this class; either love or hate.
It has always been one of the most favored classes in the game, with appealing abilities and stratospheric damage. Its famous EDP, an acronym for Enchant Deadly Poison, marked the class for allowing attacks so strong that they could kill bosses with just one attack.
But with the release of some equipment and patches that benefited other classes, the Shadow Cross has come down off the pedestal and is no longer among the most powerful. Still, they can easily do any content in the game, even with basic gear.
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- High damage, even with weak equipment.
- Easy to cause critical hits.
- Extremely powerful buffs.
5 - Meister
It is hammer time!
Here I have a very personal choice. And I know many players who support this idea. The evolution of the Mechanic is not the class with the highest damage. They are being updated right now by Gravity, to bring more firepower to the class. But their features and facilities are incredible!
Being inside the Mech is so great! You can do content that other classes would have a hard time doing, just for this. After all, you are immune to dispel, immune to divest, you have great mobility, you can become immune to ranged damage, you can change your element, and more. For the love of Odin!
The new Meister skills also help a lot. They increase the damage of the skills you already use, like Axe Tornado or Arm Cannon. They can also heal and increase defense.
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- Many advantages and immunities inside the Mech.
- Can build both melee and ranged.
- Great sustain.
4 - Inquisidor
This is another class that made our eyes pop over the years. I still vividly remember the first time I saw an Asura Strike. The full force of the class killing anything with one shot.
By the way, allow me to brag for a moment: I won a region championship like this; "Asuring" my enemies off the map!
Inquisitor is in a very comfortable place at the moment. His damage is very high. His mobility is simply the best in the game. It is common to be on a map and just see that blur on the screen. Some Inquisidor flashing by, killing monsters before you can even press anything.
The 4th job brought even more offensive power. They can do many millions of damage with the most basic equipment. And don't forget that they can also become immune to ranged attacks with their Pneuma, reveal hidden monsters, neutralize attacks, and become the group's tank through Mental Strength.
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- The fastest in the game.
- High damage, even without specific equipment.
- Defensive and utility features.
3 - Biolo
The guys who should use plants, but are more effective with cannonballs!
This class has always had a conceptual problem. But this doesn't seem to stop anyone, after all, this is one of the most played classes in Ragnarok. And it is easy to see why.
They are so powerful! Their Cart Cannon has carried the class for a few years now, doing huge damage at a distance, AOE, and ignoring defense. A new skill allows you to double the damage of cart shots, which was already so high!
If you are new to Ragnarok, you can be sure that Biolo is one of the best classes to grow in the game. You get through any challenge running around like crazy with your lightning-speed cart and going boom boom boom!
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- Great ranged attacks.
- Very fast movement.
- Easy to equip and build.
2 - Hyper Novice
The Hyper Novice
Sounds like a joke, right? A few years ago, Super Novices were treated as "builds for fun" and didn't stand out at all. But some Valkyrie snapped and turned the class into a powerhouse! Now they are super strong and a self-sufficient class.
But how strong are they? Well, let me tell you how strong. Without using ANY equipment, not even a weapon, their abilities already do millions of damage. It is crazy!
Plus, they have low cooldowns and very useful skills. Not to mention that they can use various skills from other classes, as well their equipment (you need Soul Link for that).
Ok Gravity, I think you guys overdid it a little bit!
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- Absurd damage.
- Can be physical or magic.
- Many abilities and equipment from other classes.
1 - Dragon Knight
The King on top of the dragon. Did anyone think differently?!
Dragon Knights have been on top for a long time. As Rune Knights, they always had the best features in the game: the best equipment, the best status, many types of attack, many resources, and mounted mobility.
I miss you Pecopeco.
Once, I was trying to do a certain dungeon and could not complete it with my other characters, who were well equipped. I took a Dragon Knight, put on some very basic equipment, a generic sword, and you know what happened? I went through the map cutting monsters like butter.
Let me give you an example of how strong the class is. Some servers have a special map that is filled with MVPs. Most classes walk on this map with a certain caution and prefer to attack from afar. But not the Dragon Knight.
He charges with no fear, gathers several MPVs around, and then decimates them. When I am on the map, I always head-on in the opposite direction from those playing with the class. There is no dispute against them.
This class is certainly the right choice if you want to rule over all content, playing solo.
So, in short, what makes this class great for solo?
- The highest status in the game.
- The best buffs in the game.
- Very high attack and defense, even without good equipment.
But what about you? Do you agree with my list? What are your favorite classes for solo play in Ragnarok Online?
