#3 VZ61

The VZ61 will be one of the first machine guns you will acquire in the game. Players can find it in Chapter 1-1 during the battle with the Executioner Majini. It’s to the right of the red barricade in a silver box. The door will be blown open to advance after you defeat the Executioner. This machine gun doesn’t have much-stopping power, but it can be upgraded to have an excellent critical hit level.

#2 SIG 556

Players can find the SIG 556 in Chapter 5-2 in the missile area on the first floor. It will be in a silver box by the conveyor belt. After you get off the top floor moving belt, go down the stairs and, it will be on a table in front of you, slightly off to the right. This machine gun is a step up from the VZ61 in firepower and reload speed. After it’s fully upgraded, it can help complement your weapons loadout.

• A Modest capacity of 80 rounds when upgraded

• Solid firepower of 180 when fully upgraded

#1 H&K MP5

Players can find the H&K MP5 in Chapter 2-1. It will be in a silver box on top of some tires on the left side right as the chapter starts. The H&K MP5 was first seen in Resident Evil 2 as one of the Umbrella Security Service members’ weapons used while trying to detain Dr. William Birkin. The first time players could use this gun in-game was during Resident Evil 0, unlocking it with an A grade after beating it. The H&K MP5 in Resident Evil 5 sports one thing that other machine guns don’t, piercing power. Piercing power will be important in the later game stages when you have to go against enemies with shields and armor.
