What’s up guys, I’ll be showing you one of the most awesome and popular weapons used in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam - if you don’t know this game, I highly suggest trying it out as it’s pretty entertaining and full of content. 

You can kill GI’s or Charlies with everything ranging from a heavy machine gun to a goddamn pickaxe, this game allows you to play in 6 different armies, which means plenty of weapons will be available. Let’s get started:

10. The Good Old Punji Trap

Good luck trying to find it!

Now you might say, this article sucks. But listen to me, friend - when playing on a full team that consists of 32 VCs, imagine all of them planting lovely gifts for the GIs to step on, also known as the Punji Traps. Only high-skill players can understand the power of the Punji when they’re planted in huge numbers.

What’s great about the Punji Trap:

Hard to detect

The perfect tool when your team has to retreat to the other objective

It’s incredible when planted in high numbers, requires a lot of teamwork though.

9. TT-33

Small, but deadly.

Why did I include this guy when there are dozens of machine guns and rifles? This thing is extremely accurate, I managed to get a kill from 90+ meters, THUS IT DESERVES A SPOT! But on a serious note, it’s an extremely accurate pistol with low recoil, you never have to worry about missing with this guy. Another awesome con of TT-33 is the fact that you can walk around in the tunnel with it and smoke GI’s trying to munch on your rice.

Why TT-33 is great:

Non-existent recoil

Awesome accuracy

Great replacement if your primary weapon is too large to be used in the tunnels

8. XM21 Scoped Rifle

Don’t let a Charlie take it!

Sniper is a fun class, not my favorite, but I’ve surely had a lot of fun with it, hiding in plain sight and killing everything that moves, triggering the enemy team 24/7. So why is this weapon good? Well, a shot anywhere above the crotch is a death sentence, it’s also not a bolt action so you can spam the LMB and try your luck if a Charlie managed to sneak up on you. 

What’s great about the XM21 Scoped Rifle:

One of a few snipers that’s not a bolt action

Extremely powerful, 1-shot kills guaranteed when hit above the belt

The range is also extremely high, so you can tilt the VCs from afar!

7. DSHK’a

See ya on the ground, GI!

DSHKA. GI Eater. Bird murderer. A 50 CAL beast that destroys everything it shoots at. If you’re playing Resort and your heli pilot decides to fly near this fella, it is not going to end well. All that will be left at best, are a bunch of dismembered corpses lying motionless in the crashed transport helicopter. The only thing that keeps the north from winning the war is the fact that this weapon can only be shot from a stationary spot.

What’s great about the DSHKA:

Works best for sending helicopters/planes to the ground

Penetration is so high that rarely anyone makes it out of the heli alive

Huge amount of ammo

6. RPD

Bullets work best for sending GIs to hell!

Do you remember when I said that the only thing that’s keeping the north from winning the war is the fact that DSHKA can only be stationary? Well, I’d like to introduce you to RPD. It’s a light machine gun that can shoot up to 200 bullets, it’s an extremely underrated weapon that magically clears buildings. It’s surely one of my favorite LMG’s in Rising Storm!

What’s great about the RPD LMG:

High ammo capacity

Great for keeping GI’s in place due to the large suppression aspect of this weapon

5. M79 Grenade Launcher

Wait, that’s my team!

Do you like to commit atrocities? Dismembering people, you deranged animal? Great, me too - another fun as hell weapon that can take out multiple Charlies in one go. It’s very useful if a couple of enemies barricaded themselves in a building and smoking them out with low-caliber weapons just won’t do. Send a Christmas package to them today!

What’s great about the M79 Grenade Launcher:

Satisfying to get kills with

Can take out multiple people with 1 grenade launch

Still better death than from a flamethrower

4. M9A1-7 Flamethrower

I try to avoid this thing.

Do you know what was an average life expectancy of a soldier with a flamethrower in the Vietnam War? At around 5 minutes. Nobody wanted to be the flamethrower guy, nobody wants to be around the flamethrower guy, and nobody, NOBODY wants to be targeted by the flamethrower guy. No enemy is harder to ignite than a VC hiding in a rice patty.

What’s “great” about the M9A1-7 Flamethrower:

30-meter range(there really is no escaping this thing)

Instant immobilization, slow death

Don’t feel guilty for playing this class. It’s just a video game.

3. M16A1

Friendly-fire again?

What do I love about this weapon - plenty of things, it’s a noob-friendly weapon, it doesn’t require high skill to shoot effectively from it. You can change the rate of fire from single-shot to full-auto with X(the default key). Another cool thing about this weapon is the fact that your team can’t run out of them(grunts have unlimited spots, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to shoot with M16!)

What’s great about the M16A1:

Easy to master

2 switchable fire modes

Effective at all ranges

2. PPSh-41

A really nice submachine gun!

Why do I love this weapon so much, it has to do with its extremely low recoil and the fact that the weapon doesn’t run out of ammo too fast, works great in all ranges(short, medium, and long-distance). Penetration is also there, not as powerful as the standard AK-47 or an RPD, but it can still penetrate walls. 

What’s great about the PPSH-41:

High rate of fire

Awesome accuracy and nonexistent recoil

Satisfying “PING” noise when headshotting a GI!

1. AK-47

WASTE THAT CHARLIE BEFORE HE WASTES US!

It was a hard time for me to decide which weapon was the best - the AK-47 or the PPSh-41. After millennias of thinking and contemplating, I decided to pick the infamous AK-47. It is, hands down, the best rifle there is to waste GIs with in Rising Storm 2. The recoil is a bit more difficult to control, but getting used to it means getting used to being on top of the scoreboard. 

Like in M16A1, it has 2 fire modes and uses the 7,62x39mm caliber, the same caliber as in the RPD LMG, which means that it penetrates walls very well. It’s way more powerful than the US M16 when it comes to damage and besides all the details, come on, it’s the AK-47 -the best there is! Also, GO HOME GI!

What’s great about the AK-47:

Same penetration as in the RPD LMG

Quick to reload

Hey man, AK-47 is an iconic sexy beast, nothing much needs to be said about it!

So in summary, I tried to include all types of weapons - heavy machine guns, punji traps, flamethrowers, pistols, sniper rifles and regular rifles, and even a grenade launcher.
