1. Black Desert (Black Desert Online)

Black Desert is an action-packed MMORPG. You can fight, trade, and explore as one of 27 unique classes in a beautiful and massive open world.
Black Desert’s character creator lets you pick from 27 classes and gives you more control over your character’s looks than some design software! You can tweak every little detail of their face and body with hyper-precise sliders that let you scale, rotate, and transform every tiny area.
And yes, there’s a huge selection of hairstyles, makeup, and tattoos. You can even raise your character’s hair to get a better view when sculpting that perfect waifu, husbando, or self-insert face.
2. Hogwarts Legacy

Finally, you can live out your wizarding dreams as a student at Hogwarts. Cast spells, make friends (or frenemies), brew potions, and uncover secrets in a magical open world.
In Hogwarts Legacy, you get to customize your character with realistic skin tones, moles, and freckles. The presets are solid and you can tweak each facial area for extra uniqueness. You can even pick the pitch of your voice! Plus, it doesn’t matter if you’re feeling like a witch or a wizard, you can freely choose either dormitory.
3. Witchfire

Witchfire is a dark, gothic first-person shooter where you play as a gritty, edgy witch hunter–what’s not to love? You’ll be battling supernatural enemies with firearms and forbidden magic.
Witchfire skips your usual character customization. But since it's first-person, you probably won’t miss it, anyway. You do get to choose from six unique classes—Butcher, Hunter, Slayer, Shadow, Saint, and Penitent. Each one has a distinct look and starting gear. Some classes sneak around, while others are better for barging in all guns blazing.
Just be warned, some classes make the game harder, and they’ll let you know if you’re signing up for pain–which might be something you’re into, Souls-like fans!
4. Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World throws you into huge, open environments to hunt down massive monsters (hence the name). Better yet, you craft gear from their remains and team up with friends for epic battles.
Monster Hunter: World lets you adjusta lot, similar to Black Desert but with fewer sliders. You can use a free-form color palette for skin, hair, and eyes, and add some fancy makeup. Then, you get to choose from several facial expressions and voices, so your hunter has plenty of personality.
5. Enshrouded

Enshrouded is a survival RPG where you fight to reclaim a cursed, shattered world. The game lets you build your character, base, and gear while battling dark forces.
In Enshrouded, presets reign supreme. They cover skin tones, face shapes, and body types. You can tweak the preset to personalize your character more with a nice selection of hairstyles and facial hair for both male and female characters. And yes, ladies get to have facial hair, too. All choices are unlocked for all body times. The same goes for character voices.
6. Starfield

It’s a space odyssey—blast off into space and explore galaxies, join factions, and hunt down cosmic secrets. Starfield lets you get fully immersed in a world of starships and infinite possibilities.
Sculpt your body from lean to beefy (or chunky), and even tweak how you strut around. Face sculpting is intuitive and addictive, with options to shape many parts. You’ve got sliders for days and they’re pretty clean. Then, pick a juicy backstory that grants you three starting skills and throw in some traits with both perks and quirks, because no one’s perfect.
If you ever regret your choices later, pop into a genetics clinic at New Atlantis or Neon for a total makeover.
7. RuneScape

You probably already know RuneScape, and it’s got an upgrade. After all, it’s a legendary MMORPG where you grind, quest, and slay in a world that’s part nostalgia, part something new every time you boot it. It’s RuneScape, with more vertices.
The low-poly vibes of classic RuneScape are still here, though now you have more detail. You can’t mess with body or head shape. Everyone has the same sturdy, blocky charm, with only male and female heads being different. But the hairstyle selection and armor combos are so massive, you likely won’t care much.
Customize your threads by picking colors for each piece of clothing or armor—mix and match like a fashion icon of Gielinor. The clothes are modular, so you pick tops, bottoms, and shoes separately. You can also hit randomize for a surprise look, and they always come out looking fabulous.
8. DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2

Dragon Ball isn’t only for Goku's antics. Create your own superpowered warrior and fight on your own terms in Xernoverse. Here, time travel is as normal as energy blasts and screaming at the top of your lungs.
The first thing you’ll pick is your race, and you have options—Majin, Saiyan, Earthling, Namekian, or Frieza, then pick the gender. It’s not purely aesthetical—each race and gender combo have different strengths and weaknesses. Customize your body from skinny to absolutely ripped, pick their height, and give your character a unique face by picking from many types for each face part.
And you can even choose their voice for a proper special badass OC.
9. Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a crazy deep RPG where your choices, talents, and party relationships matter in this epic story. It’s classic D&D-style fantasy with a meaty side of moral dilemmas.
You can play as one of six story-driven characters or go rogue (pun intended) and make your own. Once you pick the race or premade character, customize everything from race to talents. The options go from picking a skin tone that’s just right to selecting voices that hit the right level of sass.
In the typical DnD fashion, you assign attribute points across strength, finesse, intelligence, constitution, memory, wits—and build your ultimate hero (or disaster-prone wizard, no judgment) the way you see fit.
10. The Lord of the Rings Online

Explore iconic locations from Tolkien’s legendary world of Middle Earth. This epic MMO adventure has it all—quests, adventures, nostalgia, and, of course, a neat character creator.
Pick your race, each with perks and drawbacks, naturally. Then, choose a class, such as Champion, Guardian, Hunter, Lore-Master, Minstrel, and more! Your character’s origin also matters—select a homeland from one of the options unique to your race.
Customize their body type and pick from a solid range of head shapes, eyes, noses, and mouths. Finally, fine-tune hair, skin, and eye colors using a gradient for that perfect Middle-earth vibe.
11. Disco Elysium

12. Absolver

Absolver is an RPG with cool martial arts fighting where you battle your way to becoming a master fighter in a stunningly beautiful, stylized world.
First, pick your character's origin (the land they came from) and sex, then choose from a variety of hairstyles and colors. But the fun in this character creator really starts with modular clothing and armor—tons of mix-and-match options that let you build both your fighter’s look and stats.
13. Expeditions: Viking

Expeditions: Viking lets you lead a Viking clan on raids and conquests in a tactical RPG. You’ll also make tough choices to shape your Nordic adventurer legacy.
First, pick a portrait that screams “Viking conqueror,” then pick beards, scars, and armor (because what’s a Viking without a glorious beard and some battle scars?). There are no sliders here, but who needs them when you’ve got a solid selection of face parts to pick from a list?
You have 50 skill points to distribute between smashing stuff and surviving, and both primary stats (strength, endurance, finesse, perception, sense), and many more secondary ones.
14. Mount and Blade II Bannerlord

This sandbox RPG puts you at the heart of epic medieval battles. Build your army and conquer kingdoms on the continent of Calradia.
First and foremost, pick your nation and then pick from a number of classes specific to your nation and faction (grouped in infantry, cavalry, and ranged). Want to lead from the front or snipe from afar?
You can tweak everything from skin tone to facial features with easy sliders. Top it all off with an epic selection of hairstyles, facial hair, and warpaint to show everyone who’s boss on the battlefield.
15. Old School RuneScape

It’s RuneScape like how you remember it—a classic MMORPG that lets you explore a nostalgic realm full of quests, skilling, and battling. The whole package is in charming low-poly graphics.
Forget body sculpting for a moment here. Old School RuneScape gives you simplicity instead. You pick from pre-made parts: heads (hairstyles), jaws (beards), torsos (shirts), arms (sleeves), hands (gloves), legs (pants), and feet (shoes). Just mix and match however you like and kick off the adventure.
16. Final Fantasy XIV

It’s like Final Fantasy, but multiplayer. FFXIV is a massive MMORPG that lets you explore Eorzea, join epic raids, and build your perfect character while battling iconic Final Fantasy monsters.
Choose from a couple of races: Hyur, Elezen, Lalafell, Miqo'te, Roegadyn, Au Ra, Viera, and Hrothgar. There are no class restrictions, so go with whatever looks the coolest to you. Each race has two clans with slight stat differences, but nothing limiting.
However, where the differences do happen is in unique aesthetics. You’ll find unique features per race—like cat ears or bunny ears—to tweak, plus you can customize the face, tattoos, and face paint for even more personality.
17. Blade & Soul

This action MMORPG has a martial arts focus, with fast-paced combat and an epic story set in a gorgeous, stylized world.
Choose from four races: Gon, Jin, Yun, and Lyn. But keep in mind, not all races can be all classes or genders. Some classes are race-specific, and certain races are locked to one gender. There’s a total of 14 classes to pick from, like Blade Dancer, Astromancer, Gunslinger and Kung Fu Master. In other words, you have tons of options.
Fully customize your look or pick from presets, then enjoy gorgeous clothing and armor.
18. Warframe

Warframe is a fast-paced co-op game where you pilot powerful Warframes, which are super-futuristic biomechanical suits. You take them on missions across the galaxy, slashing, shooting, and parkouring your way through enemies.
As you play, you unlock new Warframes, each upgradeable, and each with unique abilities and special appearances. They’re pretty robotic for the most part. But then you unlock the Drifter or Operator after completing The New War or The Duviri Paradox quests.
You can also buy and swap out different heads for your Tenno (including Drifter and Operator), choose hairstyles, and recolor everything (literally everything) with an extensive palette.
19. Star Trek Online

Boldly go where no one has gone before (except the Star Trek crew, of course) in this MMORPG where you command starships, explore new worlds, engage in space battles, and live out your nerdy childhood dreams.
You can pick from six factions—Starfleet, Klingon Defense Force, Romulan Republic, TOS Starfleet, Dominion, and Discovery Starfleet. But, no matter who you pick, you will eventually align with Starfleet or the Klingons, if you’re not already aligned (so the Dominion and Romulans must choose).
There are loads of species, but not all are playable, yet. Still, the choice is decent, and once you pick your species, you can choose from careers like Tactical, Engineering, or Science. There’s also a huge range of sliders to customize your character and also uniform customization.
20. Lost Ark

Lost Ark is an extremely action-packed MMORPG (aren’t they all?). In it, you’ll slash and shoot your way through hordes of enemies, all while leveling up your character’s abilities and exploring a massive world.
Your first character is your main, but then you can add others. Choose from classes like Warrior, Mage, Martial Artist, Gunner, or Assassin—though some are gender-locked. Each class excels in different attributes (Attack Power, Dexterity, Defense, Support, and Area of Effect), and you can level them up as you go.
Customize your appearance as much as you want, but if you ever come to regret it, you just have to pay for a name and appearance change.
21. Wildermyth

Wildermyth is a unique tactical RPG where your truly fairytale heroes evolve into legends through procedural storytelling, random romances, rivalries, and so many secrets.
You’ll start by picking your party’s future roles: Future Warrior, Future Hunter, or Future Mystic. Customize your character’s body type, voice, and even who they’re attracted to (yes, romance and rivalries are a thing). These can be random, or not. The character creator lets you decide. You can also decide if your character can have children.
Head and face options include various shapes and cute hand-drawn faces. There’s a big selection of hairstyles to top it all off.
22. Once Human

Once Human is a post-apocalyptic survival game where you fight off terrifying monsters and craft your way through a dangerous world. All while still looking more fab than you have any right to be.
You’ve got tons of beautiful presets, but if you want control (and who doesn’t in a game like this, really), every part of your character’s face is customizable. That means hairline, cheekbones, jawline, chin, temples, and much more—each with detailed sliders. Body customization is fully adjustable too.
You can even customize your hair’s base color, highlights, and gradient, then finish off your look with makeup or face paint for a real fierce post-apocalyptic vibe.
23. STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™

In this Soulslike action-adventure game in the Star Wars universe, you play as Cal Kestis. He fights to survive and restore hope to the galaxy in an epic, cinematic Star Wars story.
Deck out Cal with super-detailed options for hair and facial hair. Dress him up in highly detailed outfits, with separate jackets, shirts, pants, and shoes. Or, if you prefer something more consistent, opt for full sets like Survivor, Scrapper, Commander, Jedi, and more. The options are all there for a rugged survivor, polished Jedi or something in between.
24. Kenshi

Kenshi is a brutal open-world RPG where survival is tough, but the choices never seem to end. You can build a base, recruit followers, and forge your path in a true sandbox.
Pick from four races: Human, Hive, Shek, and Skeleton. Some also have subraces and all have unique bonuses and weaknesses in things like Hit Points, Dexterity, Stealth, Strength, Weapon Smithing, Cooking, Farming, and a lot of other aspects. Body customization is extensive, even if it appears a bit simple at first. Tweak your shape, posture, and idle stance.
25. Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise is an action-packed RPG where you hunt massive creatures, just what we love in this franchise. It takes you to a world of dynamic environments and lets you craft epic gear from your fallen foes.
There are tons of presets and a ridiculous number of sliders to create the most unique face you can imagine. And if you need more flair, try a whole range of makeup styles and hairstyles for days. When picking colors like skin tone, you get a gradient color picker, so you’re not stuck with those not-quite-right pre-made shades.
You can even customize your muscle definition—so your hunter can be as ripped (or not) as you like.
26. Skyrim with Mods
PC (for the most moddable version)
Skyrim is the ultimate open-world RPG where you can be anyone and do anything—and with mods, you can customize literally everything.
When yu mod Skyrim, you have infinite possibilities for your character’s looks...and stats, too. While the vanilla character creator is pretty solid on its own, it looks dated when pitted against all the ever-emerging mods.
For most of the character appearance mods to work as intended (and for many other mods, for that matter), you’ll want to download RaceMenu. It’ll give you lots of sliders to customize your character’s face, even go into sculpt mode. It also lets you load presets (which you can download tons of on the Nexus).
Plus, you can get external tools like Bodyslide and Outfit Studio along with custom bodies to make your Dovahkiin (or non-Dovahkiin, if you prefer Alternate Starts) more modern.
27. Pathfinder: Kingmaker

In Pathfinder: Kingmaker, you conquer, rule, and maybe even save the kingdom—depending on your choices and how you feel that day. It’s also party-based.
Pick one of the races: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Halfling, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, and Aasimar. Then, check out your character’s attributes—Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.
There’s a huge selection of classes, including Alchemist, Bard, Fighter, Inquisitor, Paladin, Cleric, and many more. Mix and match to create your perfect hero, or the weirdest combo—you do you, and this game lets you do it.
28. CODE VEIN

CODE VEIN is a totally anime action RPG where you fight monsters and look stylish doing, even though you’re in a dark, post-apocalyptic world.
This creator has it all: physique, skin, face, eyes, scars, makeup, accessories, clothing, you name it. You can even customize mask frames and voices. The sliders and color palettes are endless, and the interface is super smooth and easy to use. You’ll end up with a character that looks slick and badass, just like the world you’re fighting through.
29. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Another installment in the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise, now set in ancient Greece. Play as Alexios or Kassandra, memorable voiced protagonists, while kicking some serious butt across the Mediterranean.
Choose between Alexios and Kassandra—it’ll tweak the story a bit, but both are awesome and you won’t miss out on any significant content.
Once you’re in the game, you’ll keep tweaking with deeply modular armor pieces like helmets, hoods, gauntlets, and every other piece. Each piece has a number of variations, with different materials, colors, styles.
30. New World: Aeternum

New World is an MMORPG in which you will explore a strange island. Come here to battle creatures, master trade skills, then shape the fate of your faction.
First, you choose archetypes. These are Soldier, Occultist, Destroyer, Mystic, Ranger, Swordbreaker, and Musketeer, each with their own trade skills. The character creator has all the usual features—body type, skintone, face, hairstyle, and facial hair—plus scars and tattoos for the battle-hardened edge. The characters are beautifully detailed, your hero will look great from every angle.
31. Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III is a grand strategy game with a bit of RPG and a bit of life sim thrown in there. You rule over dynasties, make alliances, conquer lands, and sometimes get into hilarious medieval drama and intrigue.
In CK3, rulers aren’t just portraits anymore—they’re full 3D now, and you can visit them in their throne room. You can create your own character or play as a historical figure. If you decide to go custom, then everything is customizable. Pick their religion, culture, and dynasty (or make a new one with a totally custom emblem).
You can also choose their age, traits (education, personality, other traits), and spend skill points on their abilities. Customize to your heart’s content—even if it’s a bit ahistorical, that’s also a part of the fun.
32. Conqueror's Blade

Then we have Conqueror's Blade. It’s a tactical MMO that lets you lead an army into epic battles, combining strategy and action to carve out your empire.
Pick a face from fancily named presets like “charming,” “medieval,” “regal,” “philosophical,” “rounded," and more. Hairstyles are equally fancy, and you can adjust details like brows, makeup, tattoos, and skintone to personalize your warrior.
Then, pick weapons/weapon combos like musket, sword and shield, dual blades, pike, and more. Each combo has some seriously spiffy armor to complete the look.
33. Manor Lords

Once you’re happy with your Highness, set the end goal and pick a scenario to guide your lord to victory. Time to build that medieval empire while looking and acting noble.
34. GUNDAM BREAKER 4

Are you a mech-lover? GUNDAM BREAKER 4 is the game for you. It lets you build, customize, and battle with your very own Gundam mechs, all with those adorable toy-like graphics.
Assemble your Gundam part by part—head, body, left arm, right arm, legs, and backpack. Every part affects the mech’s specs—things like movement speed, HP, and long or short-range power. These powerhouses are extremely modular and upgradeable.
35. Tales Of Arise

In Tales of Arise you lead a group of heroes on a journey to free their world from oppression, all while looking stylish in action.
No two players' parties will be the same. You can equip different costumes, weapons, and attachments on each party member, and apply custom skins to these utilities. The selection is huge, and the more you play, the more you unlock. If that’s not enough, there are always DLCs for more gear.
36. Angel Legion

Angel Legion is a turn-based sci-fi RPG that sees you assemble a team of eye-candy heroes and battle across the galaxy.
In Angel Legion, fancying up doesn’t stop with your own character, oh no. Not only can you change the look of your main character, but you can also customize the others—even random NPCs. Swap out costumes, add accessories like necklaces and gloves, and even adjust their faces with plenty of sliders.
37. Aliens: Fireteam Elite

Get a little scared in Aliens: Fireteam Elite, a co-op shooter where you and your squad face off against wave after wave of Xenomorphs.
Pick from a solid selection of pre-made faces, hairstyles, facial hair styles, and, naturally, skin and eye color. Sure, the choices are pre-made, but that’s not necessarily bad. It means you can get into the action faster instead of spending hours in the character creator. But don’t worry—your marine will still look distinct.
Plus, you get to choose from six different voice types to bring your marine to life.
38. The Surge 2

In the Surge 2, you hack and slash through a dystopian city with some seriously cool exosuits. The action never ends here.
You can customize your character’s hair, face shape, skin (and that even includes age), eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and outfit. There’s a solid variety of pre-mades for each. You also get to pick your character’s background: Mining Wars Veteran, Search and Rescue Officer, CREO-certified Heavy Operator or Field Technician, Former Arms Smuggler, or a Corporate Middle Manager.
39. Attack on Titan 2

Attack on Titan 2 lets you take on gigantic Titans in high-flying, wall-scaling, sword-swinging battles that’ll have you feeling like a true hero.
There’s a decent number of things to change—set your character’s height, then customize their head, torso, arms, and legs. You can adjust hair and each major face part, like eyes, nose, and mouth.
For more style, change your innerwear, jacket (or go without one), and other clothes (boots, eye patches, scarves, bandanas, and more). Then customize the color of each piece.
Once done, pick a voice for your character. But you aren’t ready for the real kicker—anytime you want, you can visit a wardrobe to change everything, from your outfit to your body and face. No regrets.
40. Fallout 76

It’s Fallout, but MMO this time. Fallout 76 is a post-apocalyptic online RPG that challenges you to explore, survive, try not to get eaten by radioactive monsters, and do it all with friends. It’s just another day in the wasteland.
Start with one of the facial presets (options are based on your character’s sex), then tweak every detail. You can adjust the body, from thin to muscular to large and anything in between (there’s a triangle for that).
Pick from a variety of fancily-named hairstyles and hair colors to add some flair. There’s also a broad selection of facial features—eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, and so on. But what if you’re a bit of a control freak? Sculpt the features yourself by pulling directly on your character’s face.
Be fancier with makeup or add blemishes and scars to complete the rugged wastelander look.
41. ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING has been the “talk of the town” for some time, and for a good reason. It’s a dark fantasy action RPG that lets you explore an enormous, mysterious world, fight tough-as-nails enemies and uncover ancient secrets (in between lots of dying).
ELDEN RING lets you choose your character’s age—young and spry, or more mature and seasoned? It’s up to you. Then, pick one of the character origins: Vagabond, Warrior, Hero, Bandit, Astrologer, Prophet, Samurai, Prisoner, Confessor, or Wretch. Each one has different stat allocations in Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane.
You can also select a Keepsake for an extra starting bonus—there are nine of them, but you can skip it entirely. The creator also has tons of sliders, with plenty of colors for hair, eyes, and skin tone.
42. The Elder Scrolls® Online

Welcome back to Nirn. The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG in the Elder Scrolls universe (surely you could tell from the name). You explore Tamriel, join alliances, quest, and fight in a war for control over the Ruby Throne.
What’s your allegiance—Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, or Ebonheart Pact? When you decide, pick from one of the ten classic Elder Scrolls races, each tied to an alliance, except for the Imperials, who are neutral.
The character creator works a lot like in Fallout and Skyrim. There are tons of sliders for fine-tuning both face and body. Body types range from thin to muscular to large, and the head shape from heroic to soft to angular—that’s all on a neat triangle, which is even better than sliders.
43. Nioh 2

Nioh 2 is a fast-paced action RPG where you play as a half-human, half-yokai (from Japanese mythology) warrior to fight through feudal Japan with both sword and spirit powers.
Nioh 2’s character creator gives you endless possibilities with loads of sliders and a precise color picker from a palette. Choose from presets, or build everything by hand, if you prefer. Also, want scars, tattoos, or custom hairstyles? You can add them all—adjust their color, position, and more.
What’s more, the hair is modular, and you pick the base, bangs, and rear separately. Don’t forget makeup, with color, opacity, and type—all for you to decide. And, yes, you can even choose your stance and bathing style.
44. Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a new installment in the long-running series of tactical fantasy RPGs. You lead a team of heroes to protect the realm from threats from the Veil.
Pick your body shape from a triangle (more versatile than a slider!), then fine-tune your face with sliders. For extra vanity points, even adjust the lighting to see how your character looks under different conditions.
While the game’s four races (Elf, Dwarf, Qunari, and Human) are mostly aesthetic, your faction matters more. Choose from six: Antivan Crows, Grey Wardens, Lords of Fortune, Mourn Watch, Shadow Dragons, or Veil Jumpers. Classes are divided into the usual Warrior, Mage, and Rogue, with specializations to make you stand out.
45. Dragon's Dogma 2

Lead a party of adventurers through a world full of dangerous creatures, epic battles, and magical mysteries in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the long-anticipated open-world action RPG.
Start with a base head and body, then go wild with details. For example, adjust muscle type and strength, and body size—including height, waist, and way more. You’ve got tons of skin tones, both realistic and downright fantastical. The facial customization is equally detailed, with sliders for every tiny feature.
46. Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic RPG where you explore a nuclear wasteland. Rebuild settlements, take on mutants, raiders, giant deathclaws, and perhaps mod the game a little (or a lot).
You can make anyone you want in Fallout 4, really. Choose a type for any facial feature, or just sculpt it directly by pulling and tweaking the face. Go with rugged, chiseled, or soft features, it’s all up to you.
Customize hair, skin, and eye color. Then top it off with makeup like blush, lipstick, and more, because who says you can’t look pretty in the post-apocalypse. Make your wasteland wanderer as striking as you want.
47. Baldur's Gate 3

The super-popular Baldur’s Gate 3 is a turn-based RPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. You will lead a party of adventurers in a world brimming with magic, monsters, tough choices, moral dilemmas, and…romance.
Pick from a bunch of awesome classes like Barbarian, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard, and more. Then come the DnD races you know and love—Human, Elf, Drow, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Dwarf, Gnome, Tiefling, Githyanki, and Dragonborn (the DnD kind). Each race has unique stats and proficiencies in weapons, armor, and skills. There are also a few racial features you can select per race.
After you’ve tweaked your stats, spend some time making them look fab, because BG3 gives you loads of options to customize their appearance, too.
48. Star Citizen

Star Citizen is a hugely ambitious, huge space sim. Explore the universe and pilot cool ships, then engage in epic space battles and trading.
There’s a setting for every little thing you can imagine. Say you want to add freckles or sun spots—you can choose their amount and opacity. Skintone, hair color, eye color, it’s all on a nifty gradient color picker. Sculpt yourself or choose a DNA blend (it’s like having parents in-game).
As you might imagine, the selection of hairstyles and facial hair is massive, and growing.
49. Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG in a vast fantasy world complete with epic quests and massive player-versus-player battles.
Select a class: Warrior, Guardian, Revenant, Ranger, Thief, Engineer, Necromancer, Elementalist, or Mesmer—each with three elite specializations. Then, choose a race: Asura, Sylvari, Human, Norn, or Charr. Every race looks totally different, with special body and face features for you to tweak.
You can also adjust the usual stuff—face, hair, facial hair—but also body features like height and muscle definition, which vary a lot at each end of the spectrum. Also, dye your armor to give your hero extra flair.
50. Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive game with a deep story and comples characters. In this futuristic RPG, you play as V, a mercenary in a dystopian city full of crime, corruption, and high-tech augmentations.
First, who are you? A Nomad, Streetkid, or Corpo? Either way, the character creator is super-realistic. You can go with presets or customize every little detail—literally. Every facial feature is adjustable, and you can add tattoos, piercings, scars, and cyberware to the face and the body.You can even change your teeth. How often do you see that in a character creator? And yes, you heard it right, Cyberpunk 2077 also lets you customize your, um, private parts—though you can totally skip that if it’s not your thing.
What do we love about RPGs with character customization?
We love RPGs with character customization because they let us go crazy with creating the ultimate hero or the ultimate meme failure (or anything in between, really). It makes the game feel that much more personal. But let’s not forget that it’s not just about looks—the best games with customization have awesome gameplay, too. Only then can our creations prove what they’re truly made of.
