[Top 15] UFC 4 Best Moves That Are Powerful

UFC 4 Best Moves That Are Powerful
Tired of getting destroyed online? Start throwing some of these fight-ending moves, and stop being a loser.

Feel like beating up your friends sometimes? Me too! Trust me, you haven’t lived until you’ve finally got one back on your friend by landing a clean spinning back kick or wrapped them up in a tight armbar. In UFC 4 of course, not real life. That’d be bad.

Anyway, here’s 15 powerful moves that’ll help you round out your virtual fighting skill set and decimate the competition.

15. The Spinning Backfist

Example of an effective, fight-ending spinning backfist.

Boxing exchanges not going your way? No matter, just flail your way to victory. Wild and unpredictable is king in the UFC 4 striking world, and nothing shuts your opponent up like getting flattened by a human tornado.

14. Superman Punch

Example of how a well-timed superman punch can catch your opponent off guard.

A personal favourite of mine, the superman punch launches you off your feet and promptly fist-first into your unlucky opponent’s cranium. UFC 4’s slightly janky striking sometimes allows you to get a flukey knockout using a superman punch, but we’ll just say you timed it well.

13. Standing Guillotine

Suddenly locking a guillotine in can be really effective, as shown in the clip.

This one’s all about bringing the unexpected tools to the fight. Brawlers who love to stand-and-bang are prevalent in UFC 4’s online community, and nothing takes the wind out their sails like a good sub. Standing submissions are rare, so you’ll be the envy of all your friends when you lock one up.

12. Jab (surprisingly)

Starting from 1:00, watching this player implement the jab gives you an idea of how it can disrupt the opponent.

We’ve all been there. You’ve got a crazy opponent throwing every spinning move in the ruleset at you, and maybe you’re panicking a bit. Nothing stops them in their tracks like a stiff jab, and the game agrees, allowing you to disrupt complicated moves with a well-timed lead hand.

11. The classic jab-straight-head kick combo

Combinations are key, as the beautiful knockout in the clip shows.

Nothing beats a classic 1-2 in the fighting world. Except a 1-2 followed by a shin to the temple! Dropping an opponent with a jab straight and then pairing it with a head kick will almost always guarantee you a lovely knockout win.

 10. Hooks to the body

This clip is an extreme example of just how effective a good body shot combo can be. Usually wouldn't happen this fast.

You’d be surprised how many players have no idea how to block to the body. Luckily, you can use this to your advantage by mixing in a good body hook here and there. This will take a toll on your opponent’s stamina, and make you feel like a master tactician.

9. Flying Triangle

Being unpredictable is always good. And nothing says unpredictable like a flying submission.

Like the standing guillotine, using the appropriate fighter to latch in a flying triangle can catch even the most experienced UFC 4 player off guard. It’s a very unpredictable move to go for, and nothing’s better than the element of surprise. Plus, it’s cool.

8. Judo Throws

Channel your inner judoka and send your opponent's flying, as the clip shows.

Again, another thing a lot of players might not be familiar with. Judo throws are a less popular form of takedown and do a lot of damage to the head at the same time. And nothing shuts up your gloating friends like spiking them on their head.

7. Takedown Reversals

Ruin a wrestler's day by mastering reversals like these.

Nothing can ruin your mood like getting matched with a grinding, grappling-heavy player. Luckily for you, there’s an easy resolution. Hitting a well-timed reversal allows you to refute an opponent’s takedown with one of your own, and subsequently smash them to bits.

6. Inside Leg Kick to Overhand Combo

This devasting combo shuts the lights out quickly.

Tapping away at your opponent’s leg with a lead kick can become predictable. Maybe you should suddenly switch it up and throw an overhand from hell right after? The game recognises this combo as very powerful, and almost always stuns your opponent.

5. Head Movement!

In the video above, you can see just how effective head movement can be.

Not quite as exciting as a good offensive technique but using a bit of head movement can turn you from a wild brawler to an elusive counter striker. The game multiplies damage massively upon a successful dodge, allowing you to secure knockouts with ease. Lovely!

4. Knee/Elbow Spam

Despite being frowned upon, the video above shows how effective clinch-spamming can be.

I know, I know. It’s morally wrong to be a knee and elbow spammer, but if the game lets you do it, why not? Something about UFC 4 lends itself to this brutal, never-ending combo, and if you really want to give in to your desire to win, this is the way,

3. Leg kicks. And more leg kicks.

Leg kicks can change a fight in a matter of moments, as the video highlights.

Like body shots, a lot of players struggle to check a good leg kick. If you stumble across someone who has no clue how to handle them, you might as well congratulate yourself already. A few solid, well-timed kicks can completely debilitate an opponent and stop the fight.

2. Checking leg kicks!

Checking leg kicks can also change a fight very quickly, as the clip shows.

A follow up to the previous point, checking kicks is essential. Just a couple of checked kicks can reverse the other player’s attempt at crippling you and leave you feeling like a defensive mastermind. Protect your legs!

1. Feints!

Distracting your opponent opens them up to fight-ending shots like this one.

The last, and most important entry on our list; feints! Mind games are everything in a UFC match, and making your opponent think you’re throwing a jab, only to spin kick them into the shadow realm, is a great skill to have. Feint your heart out!
