[Top 5] Yakuza 0 Best Ways to Make Money

Yakuza 0
Money is an essential component of Yakuza 0, and it is used to buy a variety of things.

In Yakuza 0, money will get you food, drinks, clothes, weapons, and health items. The most important thing you will use money for is upgrading your fighting styles.

Acquiring new fighting skills is paramount to successfully defeating the most formidable enemies in the game, but the upgrades aren’t cheap. It’s going to take a lot of money to live life to the fullest in Yakuza 0, so you’ll need to learn how to earn cash fast.

Keep reading for the top 5 best ways to make some cash in Yakuza 0.

5. Batting Cage Mini-game

Yakuza 0 - Batting Cage Minigame ( Earn a total of 5 Million by batting) Easy Way

Hitting a few balls at the Yoshida Batting Center is not only a fun way to pass the time, but it’s also a great way to make some quick cash if your timing is just right.

The quickest way to riches is to play the Super Gold Rush challenge game, but with a 5 million yen buy-in, you might want to hit up Mr. Shakedown for some extra cash before you come to the batting center.

You will also want to practice hitting the ball on the regular batting courses just to get a feel for it. In Super Gold Rush, you have the option to quit after each successful hit, but if you proceed and miss the next target, you will lose everything you put in.

The trick is to focus the cursor on the intended target and hit the ball at the right time. Kiryu has a habit of wiggling his bat until the ball gets close to him, and as soon as his bat goes still, this is the perfect time to press ‘A’ to swing.

If you proceed to the 6th target, you will make a profit of 1 million yen. As the next target involves a smaller moving target that is very difficult to hit, it is best to quit and do the Super Gold Rush Challenge again for another 1 million yen at the 6th target. Repeat this process as many times as you would like to make your 5 million yen back plus much more.

How it works:

  • Go to the Yoshida Batting Center with at least 5 million yen in your pocket.
  • Pay 5 million yen to participate in the Super Gold Rush Challenge.
  • Use the above batting tips to hit the ball up to the 6th target.
  • Quit after the 6th target to walk away with a profit of 1 million yen.
  • Repeat this process as many times as you wish.

4. Pool Puzzle on Normal Difficulty

Yakuza Zero - Pool Puzzle Normal Diff - 22 1 million ( earn a total of 10 million yen in pool)

Pool is another mini-game you can play for lots of fun and big profit.

There are a few bars in the game with a pool table set up for all of your billiards-playing needs.

The game to play for the most profit is Puzzle Pool, particularly Normal Difficulty. Normal pays out more money than Easy, and is much easier to win than Hard.

Much like the mini-game at the Yoshida Batting Center, there is a buy-in for the Normal Puzzle Pool, but this time you are given three options: 1 million yen, 3 million yen, and 5 million yen. I am going to focus on the 5 million yen buy-in because that will give you the most profit.

The goal is to sink the red ball in one shot without touching any of the black balls on the table. Doing so results in an automatic failure. The yellow balls are on the table to assist you, but you may not always need them.

Simply watch the above video for a step-by-step walkthrough of exactly where and how to hit each ball. You will also have the option of quitting after each successful shot to take your money. Completing the entire challenge will net you more than 22 million yen if you put in the 5 million yen option.

How it works:

  • Visit a bar with a pool table set up.
  • Choose the “Puzzle Pool” option in Normal Difficulty (you will have to play through Easy Difficulty first to unlock Normal).
  • Choose the 5 million yen buy-in.
  • Begin the game, using the above tutorial on how to hit each ball.
  • Complete the course for a huge profit of more than 22 million yen.

3. Play the Roulette and Baccarat Mini-games

Yakuza 0 - Roulette and Baccarat Minigames Strategy - Earn a total of 10 million yen

The Gambling King’s Casino will open up to you after Chapter 3, and you can only access it when you are playing as Majima. There is a variety of games to play and make money from, but the two easiest games for the purposes of earning money fast are Roulette and Baccarat.

There is no guaranteed trick to winning Roulette, as it is entirely up to chance, but the most reliable method is to place as many bets as possible and always betting on 0 and 00 with the highest odds. It may not pay out every time, but when it does, expect millions in profit.

There is also no real strategy to winning Baccarat, either, as it is also a game of pure chance. However, the payouts are very high, so you are able to win a substantial sum of money in a short amount of time compared to Blackjack or Poker. If you lose, simply quit the game and start again.

How it works:

  • After Chapter 3, once you are playing as Majima, head over to the casino in Sotenbori.
  • Exchange 1 million yen for 10,000 chips.
  • Proceed to play either Roulette or Baccarat using the video guide above.
  • Win and rake in millions of yen in profits.

2. Money Farming Mr. Shakedown

Yakuza 0 EASY MONEY Guide

Farming Mr. Shakedown is one of the best and easiest ways to make a ton of money in Yakuza 0, but you need to be prepared to fight.

The quickest way to earn the most money is by actually losing to Mr. Shakedown once and then finding him again. If you win the second fight, you will earn more than double what you lost before.

The Super Spicy Knife is the easiest way to take him down, but the Zap gun is also a great method. You will need to have access to the Dragon & Tiger in order to acquire these weapons.

You will also need to invest heavily in Staminan Royale to keep your Heat level up so you can always use Heat Actions.

How it works:

  • Acquire as much money as you possibly can, then find Mr. Shakedown.
  • Fight Mr. Shakedown and lose all of your money.
  • Buy or repair a Super Spicy Knife or Zap Gun, and stock up on Staminan Royale at the nearest convenience store.
  • Locate Mr. Shakedown again and get him to fight you.
  • Drink a Stamina Royale to fill your Heat gauge, then attack using the Heat action for the Super Spicy Knife or the Zap Gun.
  • In the few seconds Mr. Shakedown is on the ground, kick him a couple of times to refill your heat gauge.
  • Drink a Staminan Royale to completely fill your Heat gauge and once again use Heat actions on Mr. Shakedown with the knife or the gun.
  • Repeat these last three steps until you’ve won, and reap in the millions of yen in profit.

1. Complete Real Estate Royale

Yakuza 0 Tutorial - Real Estate Royale Business Guide For Beginners - How To Make LOTS Of Money

Real Estate Royale is a series of side missions specifically for Kiryu. It involves buying up all of the properties for sale in each area of Kamurocho, and then fighting the main boss for each location.

The trick to Real Estate Royale is hiring the best staff available at the cheapest rates. At the end of the day, this means more money in your pocket.

Once you get the right staff at each location, you just have to sit back and collect the profits, which can add up to several million yen per day. You are forced to rotate the staff for each location you own every day, so pay attention to these stats and choose wisely.

The more protected each area is, the more money you will make.

How it works:

  • The Real Estate Royale side missions start at a building on Tenkaichi Street.
  • Locate and purchase the available real estate in each area, and search the city for Financial Advisors and Security Staff.
  • Employ the best staff for each area, striving to get an “S” ranking.
  • Check in each in-game day to collect your massive profits for doing virtually nothing.
