New King’s Quest Title Debuting This July

First Chapter of Re-Imagined King’s Quest Title Coming to PC, PS4 and XBOX One

Sierra has confirmed earlier today of the release of the First Chapter of the newly-restarted King’s Quest title on July 28 for the PS4 and PC and on July 29 for the XBOX One for $9.99. The once-popular adventure series has had a re-incarnation in the hands of Sierra and developers The Odd Gentlemen.

Following in suit to the recent successes enjoyed by Telltale Games, Sierra are to publish the rebooted franchise in an episodic format, with hand-drawn cartoony, stylized graphics. It seems to capture the spirit of the original games, if not the game mechanics, It seems to capture the spirit of the original games, if not the game mechanics, with razor-sharp writing, gorgeous production values, and tons of Easter eggs and call-backs to the franchise. Players will get to re-enact the adventures of King Graham, as he recounts his tales of his extraordinary explorations from 30 years past to his granddaughter, Gwendolyn.

Interested customers will have the option of pre-ordering the Complete Collection consisting of five episodes for $39.99. Pre-order will be available from July 7.
