Path of Exile Reveals New Features and Official Start Date for Path of Exile: Scourge
Where your nightmares become real...

Path of Exile has announced the official start date for the latest addition to the Path of Exile franchise, as well as a variety of new features that comes with it.

Path of Exile: Scourge is free to play and scheduled to become available for PC on 22 October 2021 and for console on 27 October 2021.

The game comes with a variety of new features. Some of these include the Scourge Challenge League, a reworked passive skill tree, new guild features, new items, and new gems for unique abilities and upgrades.

In Path of Exile: Scourge, a mysterious figure appears to players, giving them what is called the Blood Crucible. Players must fight and slay monsters to fill the Blood Crucible with the blood of their enemies.

Once the level of blood reaches the required threshold, the Crucible can be activated, teleporting players to an alternate Wraeclast that is overrun by demon hordes known as the Scourge.

The Blood Crucible can be used to corrupt items while killing the demons of the Scourge. This corruption can be used to transform the items and modify them to make players’ chosen build stronger.

Incorrect transformation may weaken a player’s build, or could potentially have no noticeable effect on it. And if players do get it wrong, further demon hunting and a little more blood and corruption are all it takes to make a change!

This is just one of the many features of Path of Exile: Scourge. A thorough breakdown that details all alterations and new features coming with the release can be found on Path of Exile: Scourge.
