All Dinkum Alpha Weapons (And How To Get Them)

Dinkum has an assortment of weapons for players to choose from, from the basic to the most hardcore. As the game is still in its early access phase, there have been a few updates since its release, with more to come. One of the latest updates added some new and powerful weapons called "Alpha weapons," and these are weapons that can only be acquired through one unique wandering NPC named Ted Selly. Once players reach Hunting License Level 2, Ted can be found wandering anywhere on the map and on any day, particularly on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays. This article goes into detail about these weapons, giving their stats as well as what makes them a great addition to your gameplay.

1-Alpha Bat

The Alpha Bat is a short-range weapon used for hunting with a fast attack. Similar to the Bush Devil’s fireball attack, it damages targets by lighting them on fire. Bear in mind that in order to keep this weapon from disappearing once its durability wears off be sure to repair it in the Repair Table. 

What Alpha Bat Excels In:

• It shoots 3 fireballs in an arc motion, lighting enemies on fire.
• The range on the ground is good, but the higher up you are on the ground, the greater the influence of the fireballs is. For example, jumping gives a lot more range.
• This weapon works well for spamming fireballs at targets with no worries of starting a forest or bushfire. It also doesn’t damage any resources, which can be seen as either a positive or negative is that something you want to happen.

How to get Alpha Bat:

The player can craft this item by talking to Ted Selly. He will require certain materials to craft it as well as costing some Dinks. One of the main materials are two Alpha eyes, an item which is dropped from hunting an Alpha Devil. Players can only hunt this animal after accepting an available hunting quest from the Bulletin Board.

• Costs 400,000 Dinks to make
• Materials include: 1 Flaming Bat, 10 Copper ore, 10 Iron ore, and 5 Opal
• Sells for 200,00 Dinks base price

2-Alpha Spear

The Alpha Spear is a weapon used for hunting that would make enemies quake in their boots. Functioning as a regular spear with a long-range and medium attack speed, it also has a special attack that shoots out stone spires from the ground in a line in the direction of attack. This effect is similar to that of the Alpha Croco's attack. Bear in mind that in order to keep this weapon from disappearing once its durability wears off be sure to repair it in the Repair Table.

What Alpha Spear Excels In:

• It can be used for up close and personal attacks as well as longer-ranged attacks due to the special attack effect.
• Players can get in multiple hits at once with this weapon and it does a lot of damage.
• This weapon is great to use with big animals such as Bush Devils and Crocs or any animal that is running away.

How to get Alpha Spear:

The player can craft this item by talking to Ted Selly. Just like the previous weapons, he will require certain materials to craft it as well as it costing some Dinks. One of the main materials is the Alpha Scale that is dropped from hunting Alpha Crocos. Players can only hunt this animal after accepting an available hunting quest from the Bulletin Board.

• Costs 400,000 Dinks to make
• Materials include: 1 Iron Spear, 10 Copper ore, 10 Iron ore, and 5 Opal
• Sells for 200,00 Dinks base price

3-Alpha Hammer

A hammer with bounce, the Alpha Hammer is a great weapon used for hunting. The attack functions similarly to the attack effect from the Alpha Jackaroo’s stomp attack. It works by holding the hammer above the player’s head and upon release, it sends a shockwave. Bear in mind that in order to keep this weapon from disappearing once its durability wears off be sure to repair it in the Repair Table.

What Alpha Hammer Excels In:

• This hammer releases a shockwave effect with a radius damage type which knocks back and stuns enemies. 
• It works well for up close and personal attacks, working only on level ground.
• This weapon also functions as a tool that can break Tin, Copper, and Iron ore rocks, taking away the need for carrying a pickaxe.

How to get Alpha Hammer:

The player can craft this item by talking to Ted Selly. He will require certain materials to craft it as well as costing some Dinks. One of the main materials is the Alpha Antlers that are dropped from hunting Alpha Jackaroos. Players can only hunt this animal after accepting an available hunting quest from the Bulletin Board.

Alpha Hammer details:

• Provides +22 Attack damage
• Costs 400,000 Dinks to make
• Materials include: 1 Iron Hammer, 10 Copper ore, 10 Iron ore, and 5 Opal
• Sells for 200,00 Dinks base price
