1. MCS-880

An extremely powerful pump action beast that can take down an enemy soldier with one shot. This is the gun people picture when you say shotgun. The slower rate of fire is not a problem because of the massive firepower the MCS-880 possesses. With an eight-round magazine size, you can take down an entire enemy squad in seconds. This gun is perfect when you need to rush into a room occupied by the enemy. A few well-placed shots and the room is yours.

2. 12M AUTO

The 12M Auto can seem somewhat similar to the MCS-880 at first glance. Don't be fooled, the 12M Auto fully upgraded is not only one of the best shotguns, but one of the best weapons in the game overall. This shotgun is fully automatic and when the drum magazine is attached, chaos ensues. Due to its higher rate of fire and larger magazine size, the 12M Auto is more effective at range when compared to other shotguns. This is my personal favorite shotgun due to its ability to dominate close combat situations. Hold down the trigger and watch your enemies fall!

3. Masterkey

This one is a little different, but just hear me out. The Masterkey is actually a 12 gauge shotgun attachment for some weapons in Battlefield 2042. Maybe you don’t want to only carry a shotgun around the larger maps and want to also have some long-range capabilities. Luckily, you can carry both. This brings unrivaled versatility that will make you the MVP of your squad. Picture firing on a building with an assault rifle and then being able to close the distance and breach it with a shotgun. This dual function can only be done with the Masterkey.
