Every gamer loves a tough competition every now and then. That’s especially true for fighting games where the tension can get very heated. Whether you have an Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, you have to try these great fighting games at least once.

10. The King of Fighters XV (Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC)

After the events of the previous entry, the story of King of Fighters XV revolves around two fighters with multidimensional superpowers and the mysterious resurrection of dead fighters from past tournaments. Select three characters at the beginning of each match to fight on your team. Newcomers to the series and fighting games will be thrilled with the Rush feature. This feature is a single button that allows you to perform special moves and combos easier than without it. Those who enjoy pulling off parries will enjoy Shatter Strike - a parrying system intended for defense but can be used offensively.

Once your health has been depleted low enough, the rage within will hit its boiling point and allow you to unleash a powerful super move.

5. Soul Calibur Vl (Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC)

Taking place between Soulcalibur 2 and 3, this sixth installment has two plots that a player can follow: Soul Chronicle, the main plot that concerns the immediate threat to the world of Nightmare, and Libra of Soul, which takes place after the Evil Seed incident of 1583. The 3D fighting gameplay revolves around each combatant wielding at least two weapons. Familiar features from older entries return in this reboot with new features such as Reversal Edge, which offers most defensive options for players

Create custom player variations that fit your playstyle for each character by choosing the abilities, weapons and outfits.  
 

2. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC)

Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains face off against the best fighters that Capcom has to offer. Thanos brawling with Dante, Captain America taking heavy pressure from Chun Li and much more. For the first time in the series, the character assists and three-on-three fights are no more. Instead, they’ve been replaced with a tag-out combo system and two-on-two fights. Another new mechanic is the addition of the Infinity Stones. Harness any of the stones of your choosing and become supercharged with increased powers and special abilities.
