The Importance Of a Good Crosshair
The crosshair that a player uses is an integral part of their gameplay, and is different for every kind of player. A crosshair can affect playstyle, precision, and your perception of a round. A good crosshair will help a player track their enemies, as well as improve their accuracy. Having the right crosshair can determine whether or not you spray at a player from a distance, or tap them down with precision. These factors of gameplay can determine as much as the size of your crosshair, or even just the color.
The main factors of a crosshair are determined usually by the two types of players: Tappers and Sprayers. A Tapper will, for the most part, try to go for precision headshots at all ranges, sometimes sacrificing time to kill for a guaranteed frag. A sprayer will give up on a headshot for getting a kill as fast as possible. That being said, a crosshair won’t make or break an aim style, but it will supplement it well. The best way to find out what crosshair is best for you is to try them out until you find what you’re looking for. A good starting point is to always take inspiration from the best.
10. Ax1Le
A medium-sized crosshair, ideal for spraying with good visibility.
Ax1Le offers a good base crosshair for all ranges of players; it has a large enough size to allow for easy tracking while spraying, along with being dynamic for easier handling with spray control. This crosshair leans more towards the direction of being spray reliant. However,
with a medium-sized offset in the center of the crosshair, this gap allows for good close and midrange headshotting, but accuracy drop at greater distances. Ax1le’s crosshair offers a good balance between spraying and tapping, with good visibility and size for tracking, and a small enough center for tapping at most distances.
For new and experienced players, Ax1Le’s crosshair is a great base for making a crosshair and testing the waters of seeing what feels right. Some may find the gap too small, and others may find it just right. Regardless, this crosshair is perfect for anyone looking to find their ideal size, thickness, and length.
About Ax1Le
Sergey Aleksandrovich is a 20-year-old Russian-born rifler for Cloud9. At the moment, Ax1Le is praised as one of the best riflers in the world, and it’s easy to see why with his 0.77 KPR average, and incredible 1.26 HLTV rating in the past 3 months. The Russian has most recently come off a major victory at IEM Dallas 2022, besting ENCE in the finals 3-0 ($100,000)

9. apEX
Image
A large crosshair with great visibility, but low accuracy at a distance.
ApEX’s crosshair focuses on having as much visibility as possible, which allows for easy tracking. Large crosshairs, like this one, are for players who want to win close-range encounters with good spray control, rather than a clean headshot. This crosshair may lack accuracy but makes up for it with ease of spray. Its transparency allows for good visibility of where one's shots are headed, making spray controls and transfers an easy task. ApEX handles this crosshair well (so can anyone else with enough practice). Getting frags from a distance will be a challenge, but with enough time using it, a good player will be able to hit headshots too.
About apEX
Apex is not known as the best fragger around but has been a consistent player throughout his career. The 29-year-old Frenchman has been a part of the greatest french rosters Counter-Strike has ever seen, such as G2, Envy, and Titan. As of recent, ApEX and Vitality have placed second at the BLAST Premier Spring Final losing 2-0 to NAVI ($85,000)

8. ropz
A tight bright green crosshair, great for precision.
Robin Kool is a player well known for his superb rifle skills. With this crosshair, he can achieve pristine accuracy at all ranges. Due to the crosshair's small size, a player can line up an accurate shot from all distances, with long-range duels a light task. However, due to the crosshair's size, tracking and visibility are an issue. But, a player that has honed in on its size can solve this problem with enough time using it. To counteract the small size, ropz uses the bright green color to make it more visible. The small crosshair comes with incredible precision, as shown by ropz with his impressive 48.1 headshot percentage.
About ropz
Ropz has been a mainstay in the scene, and is known as one of the most talented riflers in the game. Ropz was a well-known name at his previous team, MOUZ. 7. blameF
Small and Transparent
Small and simple is the best way to describe blameF’s crosshair: a compact crosshair perfect for precision gunplay at all distances, along with its dot in the middle to ensure all shots within the crosshair hit their target. Small crosshairs, like this, tend to allow improved focus, due to their small and non-distracting size. Focus is essential in Counter-Strike. A break for even a millisecond can be the difference between life and death in a round. Therefore, having a crosshair that doesn’t get in the way is imperative.
About blameF
BlameF is a 25-year-old Danish rifler and lurker for Astralis. BlameF boasts very impressive stats, and currently sits with a 1.27 HLTV rating in the past 3 months. Compact with extra thickness for visibility
This crosshair is on the smaller end of the spectrum but has an increased line thickness for visibility and tightness around the center. This crosshair is ideal for all types of duels from all distances. It’s easy to get the close-range headshot and spray down due to its decent center gap, but it is also extremely comfortable from a longer range, because of how compact it is. 5. saffee
Larger gap for greater visibility
Despite being an awper, saffee has a solid crosshair for any rifler to use. This crosshair is great for close to mid-range duels, specifically excelling at mid-range. This crosshair offers great visibility, and is very helpful for keeping your focus in the center. While the crosshair may fall off in precision from greater distances, the drop is not super drastic. This middle ground in accuracy for the crosshair makes it efficient for players who want to win scrappy mid-range duels most of all, and while using it feel extremely comfortable lining up shots with it.
About saffee
The 27-year-old Brazilian just recently broke onto the scene but has been integral for Furia since his arrival. Before Furia, saffee spent two years playing for paiN gaming, while rising through the ranks of ESEA and dominating the whole time. 4. electroNic
Compact and circular
This crosshair is set up in a way that it is almost purely a circle. This crosshair allows for a lot of visibility and tightness at the expense of being–somewhat–distracting to look at. Although distracting, this crosshair is sufficient for spraying and transfers, as it allows great sight for where one's shots are headed, while also leaving a lot of room for seeing errors. The crosshair’s tightness and small nature also make it feasible to take distant duels. Moreover, once you’re used to it, it can be very effective.

3. Twistzz
Small crosshair small gap with a dot
Twistzz’s crosshair is made for headshots. This crosshair is good for one-tapping opponents and getting clean kills. The small outer lines work well with the center dot to leave just enough visibility to see exactly where your shot will hit. Although tracking may be difficult, hitting all those other shots will be a breeze. The vibrant yellow color allows for greater visibility. Although it may be somewhat distracting, knowing exactly where your shots will go is always a bonus.

Compact and dynamic (adjusts when you shoot)
This crosshair is similar to Twistzz’s. However, there are some key differences. The blue color of this crosshair keeps it from being distracting, while also allowing for it to be easily seen due to its brightness. It is also great for distanced duels due to how small and compact the reticle is. The fact that the outer lines move when shooting makes the visibility during close-ranged duels elite, and is supplemented by the center dot maintaining its place, allowing for easy tracking.
