It is important to select the correct perks for efficient use of time, practical teamwork and personal playstyle. The usefulness of a perk can matter based on what tier of that perk you have unlocked, how you utilize the perk in game play, and the basic mechanics of the perk itself.

Here is a collective ranked list of 20 Dead by Daylight best Survivor perks to have.

20. Blast Mine (good)

Image

Blast Mine
I'm going to blow you away!

Blast Mine is a fun and useful perk. Survivors who may not be good at looping or flash-lighting can use this perk to waste the Killer’s time. What better way to contribute to the team than complete the main objectives, generator repair, and add a little spicy surprise for the Killer.

Blast Mine is great for:

  • Being able to complete the game’s main objective and be rewarded for your efforts.
  • Sneakily stunning and blinding the Killer.
  • Wasting the Killer’s time. Kicking a generator takes precious seconds away from chasing down and hooking Survivors. Add a stun, blind and having to re-kick the generator on top of that. The Killer may think twice about coming back.

Blast Mine details:

When direct combat isn’t an option, you still find ways to strike back. Blast Mine will activate after completing a total of 40% worth of repair progress on generators.

  • Once Blast Mine is active, press the active ability button while standing next to a generator to install a Blast Mine. – Good for quickly installing a Blast Mine.
  • The Blast Mine will stay active for 100/110/120 seconds. – Good for if the Killer doesn’t kick the generator right away.
  • Affected generators will be revealed with a yellow aura to all Survivors. – Good for informing your teammates the generator is equipped with Blast Mine.
  • When the Killer damages the generator, Blast Mine explodes, stunning them and blinding anyone nearby. – Good for an easy stun and blind on the Killer.

Inner Strength
I'm a strong independent Survivor who doesn't need a healer.

Inner Strength, previously known as Inner Healing, is a handy perk. It is especially useful if you play solo as a Survivor, or if you have trouble finding teammates to heal you. It does require some knowledge of totem spawn locations, or you can bring a totem locating perk to assist you. Cleansing a totem allows you to fully heal from the injured state. If you need to mend, Inner Strength will count towards healing the mend and not heal you to full health.

Inner Strength is great for:

  • Providing a heal as long as you have cleansed a totem.
  • Preventing hex perks if the Killer has brought any. You should already be on the hunt to cleanse a totem for a heal and may wander across a Killer’s hex.
  • The ability to repeatedly heal. Each time you cleanse a totem, you acquire another heal. The Killer perk Pentimento is a dream for Survivors that have Inner Strength. As long as you are careful not to allow the Killer to gain full Pentimento tokens, you can acquire 10 heals in one game.

Inner Strength details:

You look inward and trust your instincts when you feel lost and alone. Each time you complete a totem cleanse action, Inner Strength activates.

  • While Inner Strength is active, hiding inside a locker for 8 seconds while injured automatically heals you to full health. – Good for a quick heal from the injured state without a teammate.
  • If you are afflicted with a Deep Wound status effect, hiding inside a locker for 8 seconds will remove the Deep Wound, but you will remain injured. – Good for a quick mend, but leaves you injured. This can coordinate well if you also run the perk Resilience.

If you are already afflicted by the Broken status effect, Inner Strength does not activate until that status is removed. Once Inner Strength is successfully activated, it deactivates until the Survivor acquires another totem.

How to get Inner Strength:

Inner Strength is a Nancy Wheeler perk. This Survivor can be found in the Stranger Things chapter of Dead by Daylight or the Dead by Daylight in game store. After acquiring Nancy, Survivors must spend Bloodpoints in their Bloodweb for a chance to uncover Inner Strength. Iron Will
This is fine, everything is fine.

Iron Will is very useful in sticky situations. When you are injured, you have a massive noise reduction to your grunts of pain. While your blood and scratch marks will still be visible, having the perk Iron Will will make you extremely hard to track by sound. This is a perfect perk if you can escape chase from the Killer and hide.

Iron Will is great for:

  • Reducing the noise you make when injured.
  • Having an easier time eluding the Killer and hiding.
  • Playing cat and mouse with the Killer when looping. Keeping the Killer busy while teammates repair generators is important. If you get into a sticky situation Iron Will makes it easier for you to slip away to find a better area to continue looping the Killer, or simply hide from the Killer until you are ready.
  • Easy access for all players.

Iron Will details:

You are able to concentrate and enter a meditative-like state to numb some pain.

  • Grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 80/90/100%. – Good for keeping quiet to avoid detection from the Killer.

Iron Will cannot be used while Exhausted, and does not inflict the Exhausted status effect.

How to get Iron Will:

Iron Will is a Jake Park perk found in the base game of Dead by Daylight. Survivors must spend Bloodpoints in their Bloodweb for a chance to uncover Iron Will. Prestige Jake 3 times to unlock the tier 3 perk Iron Will for all survivor characters on your account.

Reassurance
Did someone order a side of time?

Reassurance is a good teamwork perk. It has a multitude of functions depending on your play style. Reassurance allows you to pause a fellow Survivors struggle progression on hook. This can come in handy, for example, if a Killer is hook camping and the team needs more time to coordinate a successful unhook. Reassurance can also be helpful in situations where another game objective may need to be completed first before unhooking the Survivor. For example, completing a generator that will break an end game 3 gen may be more important. If the hooked Survivor’s struggle is paused, that allows more time to complete that important game mechanic.

Reassurance is great for:

  • Pausing a hooked Survivor’s struggle progression.
  • Pausing struggle skill checks if the hooked Survivor is on their second hook phase.
  • Providing your team with more time to complete essential game mechanics.

Lithe
I'm as fast as a leaping rabbit.

Do you want to be as quick and elusive as a rabbit? Lithe is a great perk that can enhance a Survivor’s ability to loop the Killer. Looping the Killer is important. It allows your team to focus on game objectives like generator repair, while the Killer is busy playing a game of cat and mouse with you. When used appropriately, Lithe can extend the time you can loop the Killer.

Lithe is great for:

  • Looping the Killer. It can extend the time the Killer spends chasing you.
  • A quick getaway. Lithe increases your sprint speed.
  • Reaching a new area to loop safely. Your increased speed almost guarantees that you are able to reach the next looping area without the Killer catching you.

Lithe details:

After performing a rushed vault:

  • Sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for 3 seconds. – Good for a quick escape to elude the Killer’s grasp.
  • Causes the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds. – While a price must be paid, your Lithe will reactivate once the Exhaustion timer has ended.

Lithe cannot be used when under the status effect Exhausted.

How to get Lithe:

Lithe is a Feng Min perk. This Survivor was originally found in the Spark of Madness chapter of Dead by Daylight. This chapter is now part of the DLC Maddening Darkness on steam.
