Disney's Dreamlight Valley Best Areas To Unlock

What Are The Best Areas To Unlock In Disney's Dreamlight Valley

Your realm in Dreamlight Valley is divided into eight separate areas known as biomes, each one has its own diverse unique, and specific theme in style decorations and above all items. Whether it's crops or fish to gems and materials, each biome offers something different to the game and to help chart which biomes you should consider first I made this list of the top five biomes to unlock.

5. Peaceful Meadow

Where it all begins

Upon starting the game you will be given a tutorial on how to play the game from Merlin, where afterward you will have the option to talk to Scrooge and Mickey both of whom will help you through their quest to obtain the rest of your royal tools. When you get to your Royal pickaxe that is embedded in a large rock it will grant you access to the first biome, the peaceful meadow, this biome is where you start out learning how to use your tools.

Including the fishing rod that you obtain from the Peaceful Meadow, you also learn how to earn dream shards which are needed to unlock the other biomes. This biome is also where you will find your first beginning crops to start building up your star coin earnings wheat or carrots, you will also find a medium-sized square of dirt which will be a small garden patch you can make use of after you invite Wall-E to your valley.

4. Glade of Trust

Even a swamp has its charm

The Glade of Trust is unlocked like the other biomes by using enough dream shards to unlock it but it also needs the help of our resident manipulative mother Gothel to fully unlock this biome. Once this biome is unlocked it is helpful for numerous reasons, two being the mushrooms and the emeralds you can farm from this biome, a pro tip with the mushrooms I used, I moved the well to teleport to the side you can’t gain access to without Merlin's help. To remove the barriers and in the process have as many mushrooms as you need you have to have Merlin’s friendship with you completely maxed out. When it is he will give you two quests that will upgrade your watering can when all the mushroom barriers can be removed with your watering can, and in turn, you can harvest plenty of mushrooms.

The large barriers may not respawn once they are cleared away but the smaller ones do so it is worth it to keep checking to see when they do to harvest more mushrooms when needed. The other item from this biome is the emerald; this gem is found here and in one other biome and is needed to progress a character storyline quest as such using this biome to farm them will also help you; you can even drag Mother Gothel along to help you out. The final benefit to this biome is the fish and crustaceans you can fish from it. One is needed for another character storyline quest and lobster can be used not only in meals but is the favorite food of the baby alligators in this biome.

3. Dazzle Beach

Enjoy the clear waters of this beautiful shoreline

Dazzle Beach is another biome that plays a part in the main storyline along with the character storyline of several characters in your game. As such unlocking this biome by having enough dream shards to unlock it is very essential to progressing the game as a whole. Another plus to this game is a large portion of crops such as tomatoes, sugar cane, and corn are found here along with the fish you need for dishes and quest line meals.

Goofy himself asks for a dish to be made using ingredients found only here in Dazzle Beach. Along with this, there is a triggered quest event that will help you to invite everyone's favorite redhead mermaid to the game as well. After you help out our favorite Demigod and lover of the ocean Moana and Maui their homes are best suited for Dazzle Beach, and when you max out Moana’s friendship with you you will gain access to a fishing boat that looks exactly like the one she uses in her movie.

But the biggest perk of all to this boat is she will go out and fish large amounts of fish for you, and the more you upgrade her boat the greater the quantity. It is random but still, something to keep in mind for any recipes or quests that call upon a fish or crustacean she may have already caught for you.

2. Sunlit Plateau

The Life of this plateau has bloomed

As with the first two biomes or any biomes, you can unlock this one by earning enough dream shards through daily tasks, clearing away night thorns, or completely upgrading Goofy’s stall and obtaining all the gems from that biome. The other part to unlocking and fully awakening this biome is by helping out Scar with his Nature and nurture quest upon its completion the biome will fully awaken its rivers and ponds will fill up to fish in and the waterfall will part to reveal the mines.

With this awakening you will also obtain a brand new tree called the Dream Fruit tree this fruit is used in a lot of new and imaginative recipes. The other perk to this biome is that it has cocoa beans as its fruit tree and cotton as one of its crop seeds. Both are needed for dessert recipes for the former and crafting recipes for the latter. Quite a few quests call for the crafting item made with cotton so having access to it will make it that much more easier.

1. Forgotten Lands

The Land of the Forgotten

This biome is everyone's main goal to reach in the game both story-wise and star coin-earning-wise. This is why unlocking Sunlit Plateau is also important for it will allow you access to this eerie place. As with the other biomes unlocking it is obtained by having enough dream shards to unlock it. Up until recently everyone's main focus with this biome was to get access to the pumpkin seeds after restoring and upgrading Goofy’s stall. However, it is now crucial to the main storyline as well as several character quests.

The biome also becomes home to everyone’s favorite fairy Godmother as well as makes use of a large tree inside a rock that for so long just stood there but is finally being put to use. The other perk to this biome is you can farm diamonds, iron, and gold ore, the first can be used to earn star coins, and the other two are needed for crafting materials. The final benefit to this biome is it plays as I said a big part in a two-parter storyline quest for Mother Gothel so it is further reason to make sure you get this biome unlocked as soon as possible. The final benefit of this biome is the design setup. It has such a dark somber and interesting look to it making it that much more fun to design, the game offers you a variety of ways to dress up this biome however you see fit.

In conclusion, from the basics of Peaceful Meadow to the highly sought-after Forgotten Lands, these are my top five best biomes to unlock. As the game evolves with new updates, exploring the potential of these biomes becomes more exciting. I hope this guide assists fellow Dreamlight Valley Players in charting their valleys.
