All Final Fantasy 7 Remake Secrets In The Game

All Final Fantasy 7 Remake Secrets In The Game
How the hell was I supposed to know that exists?

Now, on your first playthrough, it’s impossible to find all secrets in a game if you’re not using a guide or watching a playthrough. Of course, that’s normal, and it might motivate you for a second or third playthrough of the game to find everything that you can.

So in today’s article, I’ll be talking to you about all the secrets that you might have missed during your playthrough of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. These secrets can be hard to find, while some might be so easy to spot that you might wonder how you might have missed them. But without wasting any more time, let's get into the article!

16. Secret Treasure

This lil bugger was hard to find.

This secret treasure is hidden in Chapter 15. To obtain it, you have to find the vending machine where a song can be bought. From the vending machine, turn right and grapple up. Follow that path, grapple up once more, and find the stairs. Keep heading down and turn left, and the treasure won’t be a secret anymore.

How To Find:

  • You can find the secret treasure by taking a right from the vending machine where a song can be bought in Chapter 15.

15. Jessie's Reaction To The Bike Chase

It’s time to ride or die!

This is one of the more memorable parts of the Remake, and it has a secret outcome. Depending on how well you do during the bike chase, Jessie will have a different reaction. If you're doing poorly, Jessie will be quite disappointed, but if you do well, she will give Cloud a lil kiss on the cheek. It's a nice secret detail in the game that you can get depending on your performance.

How To Find:

  • The secret is simple to find. It all depends on your performance and how well you do during the bike chase.

14. Aerith Outfit

The red dress is the best!

There are secret outfits that you can pick for Aerith. To be able to choose her outfit, simply do as many side quests as you can. The more side quests you do, the better-looking the outfit is. There are three outfits for Aerith.

The first one is a simple light pink dress that you get for completing 0-2 side quests. The second outfit is a pink halter dress that you get for completing 3-4 side quests. The third and best outfit is a red gown, which you can obtain by completing 5 or all side quests in Chapter 9.

How To Find:

  • To obtain the different secret dresses, simply do as many side quests as possible.

13. Cloud Outfit

Okay, hear me out.

Did you know that you can unlock secret dresses for Cloud as well? He also has three different outfits to choose from. His outfit depends on who you do side quests for. You can do side quests for Madam M or Chocobo Sam. But if you only do one random side quest, you'll only get a basic dress for him.

How To Find:

  • To get different outfits for Cloud, simply do the side quests for Madam M or Chocobo Sam.

12. Tifa's Outfit

She is stunning.

You can also determine what outfit Tifa will wear in Chapter 9 when you get to the city to meet with Don Corneo. To get to pick the outfit, simply complete all the available side quests in Chapter 3 to unlock the side quest with Tifa called “Alone At Last.”

Once the side quest is unlocked, you'll get into a conversation with Tifa, where she will ask you what you think she should wear. You'll have three different choices to pick from, and each choice is a different dress.

How To Find:

  • To find this secret and unlock it, simply complete all the side quests in Chapter 3. By doing that, you'll unlock the side quest “Alone At Last,” where you'll be able to pick an outfit for Tifa for Chapter 9.

11. Who You See In Chapter 14 Garden

Tifa is the only right choice.

This game is full of small, hidden secrets. Depending on who you interact with in Chapter 10, either Tifa, Aerith, or, if you're heartless, no one, it will change the cutscene in Chapter 14.

How To Find:

  • This secret is simple to find, as it's determined by who you interact with first in Chapter 10

10. Secret Staff

What in the nine hells is this creature?

There's a secret weapon that you can obtain for yourself by stealing it from a boss called Eligor. The weapon in question is a Bladed Staff. To steal it, simply use the steal materia, and you'll obtain it.

How To Find:

  • You can obtain this secret staff by stealing it from the boss called Eligor.

9. Secret Luck Up Materia

Why is this so hard to hit?

Here's a secret materia that's easily missable and can be pretty useful in the early game. As the name implies, the materia boosts the luck of the character that has it equipped. You get this materia by beating Wedge's score in darts in Chapter 3.

How To Find:

  • You can find this secret luck up materia when you beat Wedge at darts in Seventh Heaven in Chapter 3.

8. Legacy Limit Breaks

These are cool as hell.

Did you know that you can unlock additional limit breaks by completing the Corneo Colosseum Battle Challenges? By fully completing the battle challenges you unlock additional limit breaks for your characters, which makes them stronger.

How To Find:

  • To find these legacy limit breaks, simply complete the Corneo Colosseum Challenges.

7. Post Game Secrets

Welp, time to play the game again.

Once you beat the game for the first time, you'll be given additional goodies and a new difficulty mode. The difficulty mode you unlock is “Hard Mode,” and be ready to sweat your ass off trying to beat it. You also unlock the option to replay any chapter, the best accessory in the game called “Gotterdammerung,” new Shinra battle simulations, and a secret boss in the game.

How To Find:

  • To find this, simply beat the game once, and you'll unlock all of those secrets.

6. Chocobo and Moogle Hidden Materia

Why did you make me backtrack the whole way?

This materia can be quite hard to spot, as it's hidden behind some big fans that need to be shut down in Chapter 6. The only way to obtain this materia is to progress through the area and do everything there is. After reaching the end of the area and doing everything, be sure to backtrack to obtain the materia. It can be a bit tedious to do, but hey, you'll get a nice summon materia.

How To Find:

  • To obtain the hidden materia you have to do everything in Chapter 6 to obtain it. Once you have done everything, be sure to backtrack and obtain the secret materia.

5. Secret AP Up Materia

Man, even the game is reminding me to get my daily step count up…

I didn't even know this was a thing, as the AP Up materia disguises itself behind a Pedometer materia. At first, it seems useless as it requires you to reach five thousand steps. Once you reach those five thousand steps, it will transform into an AP Up materia which is quite useful for AP centered builds.

How To Find:

  • You can obtain the Pedometer materia in Chapter 14 right outside of Aerith's house. After you reach 5,000 steps, it will transform into an AP Up materia.

4. Two Secret Elemental Materias

This will improve your elemental power.

Two secret elemental materias can be found quite easily. The first one is in Chapter 6, when you deactivate all the sunlamps on the other side of the collapsed passageway. The way to the collapsed passageway can be found while exploring. The second elemental materia can be found in Chapter 14 and is given to Cloud after finishing every side quest.

How To Find:

  • To find these secret elemental materias simply explore Chapter 6 fully, and for the second one, do all side quests in Chapter 14.

3. Secret Barret Weapon

Time to blast a hole through some people.

In the Shinra building, while exploring, players can meet a character that will offer information for Gil. Most players will turn him down due to the price, but those who pay for the information will also get the EKG Cannon as a bonus and some information that isn't that useful.

How To Find:

  • You can find this secret weapon if you decide to pay money to the character who's offering information for Gil.

2. Secret Summon

Oh boy, why is this so hard?

Did you know you can unlock a badass dragon if you complete all of Chadley's Battle Intel Challenges? You can complete these Chadley challenges by simply playing through the game.

Also, be sure to do all of the VR battles to unlock it. Once you complete all of them, you will be able to battle against Bahamut, the badass dragon, and once you defeat him, you'll unlock him.

How To Find:

  • To find this dragon, simply do all of the Chadley Battle Intel Challenges and all of the VR Challenges.

1. Pride and Joy Secret Boss Fight

Did they steal this boss fight from Sekiro? Why is it so hard?

This boss fight is sure to test the best players out there. To unlock it, you have to do all the Colosseum fights and all the optional fights in the whole game, and you must have completed the game at least once. After you have done those, it will reveal itself in the Shinra Combat Simulator. If you manage to defeat him, you’ll feel huge satisfaction.

How To Find:

  • You can unlock this secret boss fight in the Shinra Combat Simulator after doing every single optional fight in the game and when you have completed it once.
