[Top 3] Genshin Impact Best Builds For Razor

Genshin Impact Best Builds For Razor
Even the wolf boy needs to be equipped good.

I’m going to be honest: I have a very soft spot for Razor. I got him on my first day playing Genshin Impact and has raised him since. He’s probably the most polished character in my team now.

Razor is a four-starred, Claymore wielder with an Electro Vision. He shines the most as a main DPS; with a Claymore and the way his skill goes, Razor is your character to go if you enjoy fighting in the very front line.

The wolf boy is very big on his attack, though he’s rather solo compared to the other characters. In short, he sucks as a support. His skills are mostly for himself: it boosts his own ATK and even SPD. It’s pretty clear that he’s asking to be used as a main DPS.

I know how much of a pain it is thinking about which build is the best one for your character, so I’m here to help you see how they compare to each other.

A small note before I start: I feel like I need to mention that Razor’s best weapon is the Wolf’s Gravestone, no matter what the artifacts. But you can forge and use Prototype Aminus instead if you don’t have the Wolf’s Gravestone.

That being said, here are the Top 3 Best Builds to use so your Razor can unleash on his maximum ability.

3.  Elemental Build: Wolf’s Gravestone – Noblesse Oblige & Thundering Fury

I don’t know if it’s intentional that the Wolf’s Gravestone is the best weapon for a guy who’s raised by a wolf. This five-starred weapon increases ATK by 20%-40% according to its Refinement level.

The base ATK of this weapon is 46 with a 10.8% ATK as its substat. Maxing it to level 90 brings the number into 608 and 49.6% respectively.

Furthermore, it increases all party members’ ATK by 40-80% for 12s on hit when the enemies only have 30% or less HP. This skill can only take effect once every 30 seconds. In short, this Claymore boosts your overall ATK.

As the Wolf’s Gravestone already boosts Razor’s ATK in general, using a two-pieces set of Noblesse Oblige is a very good choice as it raises his Elemental Burst DMG by 20%. Razor’s Elemental Burst, Lightning Fang, deals Electro DMG as Razor hits with his Normal Attack.

The Wolf’s Gravestone’s boost on his ATK and Noblesse Oblige’s boost on his Elemental Burst will compliment both of his ATK, making him  deal a more effective DMG, especially during Lightning Fang.

Additionally, if you have two-pieces set of Thundering Fury in use along with all these, it will amplify the damage Razor deals even more. The two-pieces set gives you a 15% boost on Electro DMG, what more can I say?

Using this build means your Electrical DMG will be insane. On top of the Claymore’s ATK, and 20% extra DMG from Elemental Burst, Thundering Fury will help Razor’s Electro ability to shine to its fullest.

Why the Elemental Build Is Great:

  • Razor’s Electro skills are amplified through this set
  • The combination of Noblesse Oblige and Thundering Fury strengthens Razor’s Elemental Burst in particular
  • Thundering Fury also helps increasing the DMG done by his Elemental Skill
  • Wolf’s Gravestone boosts Razor’s ATK to the fullest

2.  Physical Build: Prototype Aminus – Bloodstained Chivalry & Gladiator’s Finale

There are two possibilities for the Physical Build: you can either equip two-pieces each, or you can use a complete set of Gladiator’s Finale. Using two-sets of the Bloodstained Chivalry set gives you a 25% Physical DMG while Gladiator’s Finale boosts your ATK by 18%.

If you opt to use the full set of Gladiator’s Finale instead; it will give you an 18% increased ATK and a bonus of 35% Normal ATK because Razor is a Claymore user.

For the weapon, Prototype Aminus is a free to craft weapon that gives you a 50% chance to deal 240%-480% DMG to enemies via Normal Attacks or Charged Attacks once every 15 seconds on hit. The amount of % is according to its Refinement level.

Using Bloodstained Chivalry and Gladiator’s Finale together with Prototype Aminus boosts Razor’s Physical DMG to its best. With a boost of 25% Physical DMG from Bloodstained Chivalry, 18% ATK from Gladiator’s Finale, and the 50% chance of 240%-480% DMG through Normal Attacks makes the number of Razor’s Normal Attacks a great one.

Obviously, using Wolf’s Gravestone would be a better choice if you have it in your inventory . But if not, this weapon is ready to substitute and does its job well.

On top of that, Razor is a main DPS through and through. His number of DMG relies a lot on his hit, and this combination will bring the best result if you want to focus on his Physical DMG.

Why the Physical Build Is Great:

  • This set automatically boosts Razor’s Elemental Burst, as his Lightning Fang works together with Normal Attacks
  • The Gladiator’s Finale also helps in boosting you ATK in general, not only focused on the Physical DMG
  • Razor’s Elemental Skill can mainly be used just to trigger a reaction before going back to hitting the enemies, so even if this set doesn’t boost that, his ATK will still deal a great number
  • If you’re using the full Gladitor’s Finale set, his overall ATK will be +18% plus an additional of 35% for his Normal and Charged Attacks
  • Gladiator’s Finale is fairly easy to get your hands on if you’re big on fighting bosses

1. Balanced Build: Wolf’s Gravestone – Bloodstained Chivalry & Thundering Fury

Of course, having a balanced set would be a great call, too. When you have Razor whose Elemental Skill CD is considerably short (only 6 seconds if you press and 10 seconds if you hold), wanting to keep using his Elemental Skill on top of his ATK is not a bad idea at all.

Using both Bloodstained Chivalry and Thundering Fury will help you achieve the perfectly balanced status for Razor.

The two-pieces set of Thundering Fury boosts your Electro DMG by 15%. This helps both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, quite obviously. And as I mentioned before, Razor’s CD is quite short, so having the DMG boosted will be a great deal.

But, when you use it together with the two-pieces set of Bloodstained Chivalry, it gives you an additional Physical DMG of 25%: very good for Razor who’s a main DPS with an Elemental Burst that deals both Elemental and Physical DMG.

The same as the previous two builds, this can either be Wolf’s Gravestone or Prototype Aminus. Either way, it will help Razor achieve the perfect boost for his Physical DMG and Elemental one.

If you have both, Wolf’s Gravestone is the better choice, as it boosts his ATK in general. Prototype Aminus, on the other hand, gives Razor a 50% chance to deal up to 480% DMG (on its 6th Refinement) on hit while using Normal or Charged Attacks.

I’m saying it again, but if you want the set that boosts both his Physical and Elemental DMG, then this is your set to go.

Why the Balanced Build Is Great:

  • It wouldn’t really matter whether Razor wants to play Physical or Elemental
  • The two sets complement each other and it will boost Razor’s Elemental Burst by default
  • Razor can optimize both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst
  • Any DMG that he deals will be a great number either way
