Genshin Impact Best Damage Dealers
Destroy your enemies with these characters!

There are a lot of characters in Genshin Impact. All of them have different specialties and some of them excel in specific areas of specializations. This article will talk about the best characters that can put out insane amounts of damage and are useful in defeating enemies in the game.

10. Keqing

Keqing’s Attributes Page

Keqing is a good offensive character that can deal a consistent amount of damage to enemies. She has fast Normal and Charge Attacks - making her a reliable Main DPS character. She has an Elemental Skill that allows her to teleport on a certain spot and it can be used to target enemies’ weak spots. Her Elemental Skill also has a low cooldown. So, she can deal Electro Damage to enemies repeatedly.

If you want to build a Physical Damage Keqing, you should use the combination of 2-Piece Bloodstained Chivalry/Pale Flame and 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale. If you want all-out Physical Damage, you can use both 2-Piece Bloodstained Chivalry and 2-Piece Pale Flame. For Electro build, equip Keqing with 2-Piece Thundering Fury and 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale.

As for her teammates, you can team her up with characters that can supplement her damage output and can synergize with her mechanics. One example is Xingqiu that which has an Elemental Burst that shoots Rainswords when Normal Attack is used.

Special Attributes:

  • Normal and Charge Attacks can provide significant DPS
  • Fast Attack Speed
  • Low Elemental Skill CD
  • Can Teleport

9. Venti

Venti’s Attributes Page

Venti is a God-tier Sub DPS. He is useful for grouping and clearing mobs in a short time. As a Sub-DPS, Venti is very reliant on his Abilities instead of his Normal Attacks.

His Elemental Burst creates a vacuum that will pull enemies and hold them for an amount of time. While being held by the vacuum, the opponents will take damage over time. Venti’s Elemental Burst also absorbs other Elements, this effect amplifies the overall damage output of his Elemental Burst.

Venti is a good character for content that requires defeating groups of enemies in a short time. Examples of this are the Domains and Spiral Abyss. With Venti in your team, you can easily group your enemies with his Burst and watch them disappear one by one.

To maximize Venti’s full offensive potential, you can equip him with 2-Piece Viridescent Venerer and 2-Piece Noblesse Oblige to increase the damage of his Elemental Burst.

Special Attributes:

  • Good CC Abilities
  • Elemental Burst holds and groups enemies
  • Elemental Burst absorbs other Elements

8. Albedo

Albedo’s Attributes Page

Like Venti, Albedo is also a Sub-DPS that can put up insane amounts of damage. Albedo can produce constant AOE Geo Damage using his Solar Isotomas. Inside the zone of Solar Isotoma, enemies will take Geo Damage when they are attacked by your characters. The Geo Damage is AOE, so it is useful for defeating multiple enemies.

Albedo’s Elemental Burst also deals massive amounts of damage to enemies. His Elemental Burst, alone, can clear groups of enemies in an instant. Additionally, when Albedo uses his Elemental Burst, he will give Elemental Mastery Buff to his allies.

What’s good about Albedo is he is a very dependent character. Meaning, he doesn’t rely on Elemental Reactions to produce a significant amount of damage. You can equip him with 2-Piece Archaic Petra and 2-Piece Noblesse Oblige to maximize the damage output of his Elemental Burst. You can team him up with any character.

Special Attributes:

  • Not reliant on Elemental Reactions
  • Deals subsequent AOE Geo Damage
  • High Elemental Burst damage
  • Elemental Burst gives buff to party

7. Tartaglia

Tartaglia’s Attributes Page

Tartaglia is a good character for those who want a challenging mechanic/playstyle. Childe can switch stances; he can change to Melee Stance when you use this Elemental Skill. Tartaglia is a character that is capable of producing both consistent and burst damage.

What makes Tartaglia challenging is his Riptide Status Mechanic. Tartaglia can apply the Riptide Status to enemies when he is in Ranged Stance. This Riptide Status can be triggered into different effects that depend on whichever attack Tartaglia uses to hit the enemy with the Status. In other words, Tartaglia has many tricks up his sleeve.

Tartaglia’s Elemental Burst when in Melee Stance can deal massive damage especially when used to trigger the Riptide Status. It can literally one-shot enemies surrounding him.

The best Artifact Set that we can suggest for him is the Heart of Depth Set. It increases the Hydro Damage of Tartaglia and it also boosts his overall damage output when he uses his Elemental Skill.

Special Attributes:

  • Can apply wet status to enemies repeatedly
  • Can deal continuous AOE Hydro Damage
  • Can trigger Hydro-related Reactions repeatedly
  • Can switch from Ranged to Melee stances
  • High Elemental Burst damage potential

6. Klee

Klee’s Attributes Page

Klee is a Catalyst Pyro character. Her Normal Attacks are long-ranged and are imbued with the Pyro Element. She is useful for triggering Pyro-Related Reactions repeatedly. What makes Klee a good offensive character is her ability to generate continuous AOE Pyro Damage. She is very good at defeating groups of enemies. Klee can also knock down enemies with her explosions.

She can be teamed up with any character that can set up Vaporize or Melt Reactions for her. She also goes well with the Crimson Witch of Flames Artifact Set. With all of these combined, Klee can pretty much destroy enemy mobs.

Special Attributes:

  • Long-Ranged
  • Can trigger Pyro-related Reactions repeatedly
  • Deals continuous AOE Damage

5. Diluc

Diluc’s Attributes Page

Diluc is one of the pioneer Main DPS of the game. Being a Claymore user and a Pyro Vision owner makes him a deadly character. He is an offensive character that can break almost any type of shield. He can give consistent Pyro Damage and can defeat multiple enemies using his Elemental Burst.

You can use his Elemental Skill three times consecutively. You can use it to trigger Melt or Vaporize Reactions. His Elemental Burst also imbues his weapon with Pyro Element - every time he uses his Normal Attacks, he deals Pyro Damage to his enemies.

The Crimson Witch of Flames is undisputedly the best Artifact Set for Diluc. Diluc’s Elemental Skill can be performed three times, this means you can maximize the 4-Piece Set Bonus of Crimson Witch of Flames.

Special Attributes:

  • Can break shields easily
  • Can trigger Elemental Reactions repeatedly
  • Can deal continuous Pyro Damage
  • Elemental Burst deals massive damage to multiple enemies.

4. Eula

Eula’s Attributes Page

Eula is a character that is very simple mechanic-wise. But as you know, simplicity is elegance sometimes. Despite having a simple mechanic, Eula can put out tremendous numbers when fighting. She is a character that doesn’t rely on Elemental Effects to be effective in battle because she scales with her Physical Damage.

For a Claymore user, she has an unexpectedly higher Attack Speed, this makes her a good character for producing consistent Physical damage. She can defeat multiple enemies just with her Normal and Charge Attacks. But if you add her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst in the rotation, she can pretty much deal tremendous damage and can even clear mobs in an instant with her Elemental Burst.

The best Artifact Set for Eula is the 4-Piece Pale Flame Set. It boosts the overall Physical Damage of Eula and it also has an effect that furthermore increases her damage output whenever she uses her Elemental Skill.

Special Attributes:

  • Not Reliant on Elemental Reactions
  • High Physical Damage
  • Elemental Burst can generate tons of damage to mobs
  • Constant Damage Output

3. Xiao

Xiao's Attributes Page

Xiao is also a character that doesn’t rely on his teammates to produce ample amounts of damage. Xiao, alone, can defeat multiple enemies and can clear mobs for a short span of time. He has a high damage output and he also has a fast Attack Speed. His consistent output of damage makes him a Top-tier Main DPS character.

When under the effect of his Elemental Burst, Xiao can spam Plunge Attacks to deal perilous Anemo damage to groups of enemies. The only downside when using his Burst is Xiao gradually loses his HP under its effect. But you can fix this problem by adding good Support characters to your team.

Xiao is better equipped with 2-Piece Viridescent Venerer and 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale to amplify his damage potential while under the effect of Elemental Burst.

Special Attributes:

  • Fast Attack Speed
  • Can spam Plunge Attacks
  • Can deal continuous AOE Damage
  • Can clear mobs easily during Elemental Burst

2. Hu Tao

Hu Tao’s Attributes Page

Hu Tao is a character with a high-risk-high-reward mechanic: she is stronger when in low HP. Her offensive capabilities are like Tartaglia’s, she can put out consistent damage and is also capable of producing massive burst damage. She is one of the Top-Tier Main DPS in the game that excels in every aspect of the game.

Her Elemental Skill gives her a big Attack Boost and imbues her weapon with Pyro Element. She can deal continuous Pyro Damage using her Normal and Charge Attacks under the effect of Elemental Skill. Her Elemental Burst deals massive damage to multiple enemies. Added to that, Hu Tao has a high Base Damage, and it also increases with her Ascension. Those two, combined, make Hu Tao a good character for defeating waves of enemies and clearing Domains.

To increase her damage output, you can team her up with characters that can help her set up Melt or Vaporize Reactions. You should also equip her with 4-Piece Crimson Witch of Flames to boost the damage of those Reactions. If you want to increase Hu Tao’s damage without relying on other characters, you can equip her 2-Piece Crimson Witch of Flames and 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale.

Special Attributes:

  • High Base Crit Damage
  • Massive Elemental Burst Damage
  • Can deal Pyro Damage Constantly
  • High Base Health and Def

 1. Ganyu

Ganyu’s Attributes Page

Ganyu is undoubtedly the best damage dealer in the game. She has all the tools to bring out perilous damage to her opponents. She is a bow user that relies on Charge Attack to deal the utmost damage. She has a passive that increases the Crit Rate of her Charge Attacks, and it is very useful as it can increase the Damage potential of Ganyu.

Ganyu is useful on any occasion. She can defeat bosses and large monsters from a safe distance. Both Ganyu’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst are AOE. She is efficient in clearing mobs thus making her a good character for Domains and the Spiral Abyss.

To further increase Ganyu’s damage output, you can team her with characters that can set up Melt Reactions. If you want to increase her Crit Rate, team her with characters that can activate the Cryo Resonance Effect and also characters that can set up Freeze Reactions.

You can equip her with 4-Piece Wanderer’s Troupe Set to increase the damage of her Charge Attacks. If you need more Crit Rate, you can equip her with the Blizzard Strayer Set.

Special Attributes:

  • Long-Ranged
  • All abilities are AOE
  • High Base Crit Damage
  • Fast Mob-clearing Speed
