Jean is one of the characters from the standard banner. If you like her now, or even after this guide, or in three months, you will be able to get her in the permanent banner. It’s as simple as that.
After you get her, you’ll need to create a build for her. That’s what this guide is for. Here we show you these three builds to make Jean the type of character you want: enabler, healer or DPS.
3. Anemo Support Build: Viridescent Venerer Set
The first build we are explaining is an Anemo Support build. This build uses the Viridescent Venerer set, and is focused on Energy Recharge substats. As we all know, the Viridescent Venerer Set increases Jean’s Anemo Damage.
Not only that, but it also decreases the enemies’ resistance to the element her Swirl reaction is infused with. Her purpose as a character with this build is to both deal lots of Anemo Damage with her skill and burst, and use the Anemo Swirl to enable teammates.
What This Build Excels In:
- 1. Enabling: The 4 piece Viridescent Venerer is a set made for Anemo supports. It may not seem like a lot, but the element resistance decrease makes the rest of the team’s elemental attacks really powerful.
- 2. Healing: Although Jean’s burst already does crowd control enemies and deal Anemo damage, it also almost fully heals your team.
- 3. DPS: Due to her healing scaling from attack, it was necessary to use ATK as her artifact stats. That’s why her DPS, although not much, is also good enough.
Build details:
- Weapons:
- 5-star option: Skyward Blade (Energy Recharge)
- 4-star option: Favonius or Festering Desire (Energy Recharge)
- 3-star option: Skyrider Sword (Energy Recharge)
- Artifact stats:
- Sands: ATK%
- Goblet: Anemo Damage Bonus
- Circlet: Critical Rate or Critical Damage
2. Burst Healer Support: Viridescent Venerer Set + Noblesse Oblige Set
This is also a build that creates a support for Jean. In this case, she gets to be a burst support. Her role will be to continuously recharge her burst and spam it to heal, crowd control and deal damage like a nuker.
As the damage it deals is Anemo damage, the Viridescent Venerer set is useful; as well as the noblesse oblige set, which increases her burst’s damage. The energy recharge from his weapons helps the spamming a lot.
What This Build Excels In:
- 1. Healing: The most useful thing about her burst is the huge healing. Because she’ll be spamming it all the time, you will be constantly healing to full HP your team.
- 2. DPS: Her burst hits like a nuker, so of course her DPS won’t diminish if she’s using it constantly. Although not as high as with the next build.
- 3. Enabling: It’s true she’ll be infusing Anemo to her enemies, but no resistance reduction will happen, thus lowering her enabling capabilities.
Build details:
- Weapons:
- 5-star option: Skyward Blade (Energy Recharge)
- 4-star option: Favonius or Festering Desire (Energy Recharge)
- 3-star option: Skyrider Sword (Energy Recharge)
- Artifact stats:
- Sands: ATK%
- Goblet: Anemo Damage Bonus
- Circlet: Critical Rate or Critical Damage
1. DPS + Healer Build: Viridescent Venerer Set + Gladiator’s Finale Set
Finally, we have a DPS build for the people who want to use Jean continuously. Why is it also a healer build, you say? Because Jean possesses a passive ability that heals the party with almost every normal attack she does.
The Anemo damage is also increased, for increased damage on her skills. This time though, we use 2 pieces of the Gladiator’s Finale set, What this does is increase her ATK, thus increasing both her DPS and her healing.
What This Build Excels In:
- 1. DPS: The increase in ATK from the Gladiator set, together with the increase in elemental damage thanks to the Viridescent set, increases her overall damage on her kit.
- 2. Healing: All that ATK of course increases her DPS, but it also increases her healing. Between the healing from her burst and her passive ability your team will be healed full-time.
- 3. Enabling: Her enabling will be at the level of the second set, with no resistance decrease but good CC and Swirl damage.
Build details:
- Weapons:
- 5-star option: Aquila Favonia (Physical Damage Bonus)
- 4-star option: The Flute (ATK%)
- 3-star option: Skyrider Sword (Energy Recharge)
- Artifact stats:
- Sands: ATK%
- Goblet: Anemo Damage Bonus
- Circlet: Critical Rate or Critical Damage
You can already see how versatile Jean is, and how a good build can completely change the use of a character. Healer, damage dealer, enabler, she can be all types of support. We hope that this guide can help some Jean havers or some Jean wanters, that still don’t know her builds and want to transform her into a killing machine.
