Tip # 1 Pal Spheres

Image
Body Image

Feeling like a Pirate on a treasure hunt

I know I am not the only one eager and absolutely dying to get my first catch! Pokémon fanatics, it is now our time to shine and really catch them all! We can obtain Pal Spheres by collecting them on the ground, and by crafting them. There are 6 different Pal Spheres to be unlocked in your Tech Tree to help you catch the more stubborn Pals. We all want to gain EXP as fast as possible so we can catch the badass Pals!

Tip #2 Vixy Farm

Image
Body Image
Vixy is like a hunting dog, ready to bring home the goods!

The key to always having a stash of arrows, coinage, and blue Pal Spheres is Vixy. If you toss a Vixy in your Ranch, they dig up arrows, spheres, and coins. The secret to Vixy though is using the Pal Condenser and bringing your Vixy up to a 3 Star, she will upgrade the spheres she brings home. With a 3 star Vixy, you will now receive Mega Spheres!

The Ranch can be unlocked at Level 5 in your Tech Tree, you’ll need to collect:

  •  Wood x50
  •  Stone x20
  • Fiber x30

Tip #3 Increase Catch Rate

Image
Body Image
Nightly sneak attacks, easy way to steal a back bonus!

Before you proceed onward, there are a few tips you’re going to want to know when it comes to catching Pals! First thing, I know it may be tempting to throw your… ahem, spheres…at their face, but DO NOT because they may deflect your sphere. Your goal is to increase your catch rate, not decrease! Just like Pokémon, one of the best ways to increase your catch rate is by lowering the Pal’s health, but try your best not to kill it! If you have a Pal in your battle, pull them back into their sphere when the health is low on the Pal you’re trying to catch so you don’t have any accidental kills. A simple way to increase the catch rate is by throwing at their back, giving you a back bonus. The easiest way to accomplish this is when they are snoozing away, unaware of possible dangers around them…

Tip #4 Lifmunk Effigies

Image
Body Image
No, I didn’t get sidetracked by another effigy…

We all get side tracked on our journeys, but my biggest tip here is to take the time to stop and pick up every single Lifmunk Effigy you see! These are the glowing green structures you’ll see throughout Palworld. I want to be dramatic with you to get the point across, but I also don’t want to scare you away.  I’m just saying you should be adamant about collecting the Effigies because they give you capture power. Later in the game it will be extremely beneficial, this gives you the power to be capable of capturing stronger Pals. In your Key Items, you can keep track of how many Effigies you have. If you’re wondering where you turn in your effigies, use the Anubis Statue of Power. There is an easy one to come by at the Desolate Church Fast Travel right inside the church.

Tip #5 Gain EXP Fast

Image
Body Image
Feeling like a real predator on the hunt at night.

The number one way to gain EXP is by catching Pals. You want to seek out the weaker Pals because they are easier to catch and will save you time. The higher level Pals unfortunately don’t give us more EXP, so the most efficient way to level up fast in your early adventures is by going after lower level Pals. A little secret just for you, but I suppose you can tell your dog. You will start blowing through levels by catching 10 of the same Pals (you can keep track of what you’ve caught and how much in your Paldeck). By the 10th catch, you’ll receive a granted EXP bonus! The amount of EXP we gain from each catch scales up with us as we level up.

Tip #6 How To Find A Good Base Location

Image
Body Image
I just want to talk about how cute this hat is, but we’re talking about base locations…

When seeking out a base, you’re going to want to claim an area that has a good amount of natural resources nearby. This way you can have what you need easily accessible to build your base. You’re going to want to prioritize Wood and Stone in your early days of the game. If you can find Ore Nodes nearby as well, it will be a huge advantage if you’re focusing on leveling up. This way you can have the resources to craft the upgraded gear as soon as you reach those levels. These survival games need you to play smarter, not harder, so you have time to enjoy other aspects of the game! Use your Palstation to bring out Pals onto your base to assist you with building and other chores around base. At Level 7 you’ll be able to unlock the Logging Site and Stone Pit so you won’t have to stress as much about these resources when you’re able to build your second base. I recommend creating your second base as an Ore Farm, a lot of our craft items in later gameplay require a lot of iron ingots.

Tip #7 Best Early Game Base Locations

Image
Body Image
I present to you three of the best early base locations!

If you’re looking for a smooth beginning, base location can make or break you! The first location with a good balance of resources is going to be just southwest of the Marsh Island Church Ruins Fast Travel. Another location that is going to be amazing for a starter base is located around Lake Center. I set my base next to a Skill Fruit Tree, and I have what feels like a greedy amount l of ore nodes in base. This is a little journey from where you first spawn, but you can pick up resources and spheres on your journey over. My personal favorite location to start is right next to the Desolate Church Fast Travel. This location has numerous ore nodes, tons of trees, and there is stone very nearby, just not in base. It’s a bit more of a journey, but absolutely worth it for the aesthetic and the nodes!

Tip #8 Best Pals For Early Game

Image
Body Image
The Paldeck is a great tool, providing you with knowledge of all the Pals.

You want to work smarter, not harder right? You need to take full advantage and slave away your Pals so you always have resources at your base! I want to share with you some of the best starter Pals for the beginning of your journey. When you catch Pals it unlocks data for you to see that helps you better understand where to put them to work, you can see this information in your Paldeck. When you’re first starting out, you want Pals that have skill sets that range all over, we don’t need to worry about electricity until later in the game.

Lifmunk

Lifmunk is one of my favorite Pals not only because they are achingling adorable, but because they have such broad skills. Lifmunk if one of the first Pals I recommend because they cover so many skills, and at level 11 this cutie becomes a little badass that sits on your head and acts as a machine gun! I recommend one at your base, and one in your party for battles.

Lamball

Lamballs are not as exciting, but extremely easy to catch. They are great because they have Handiwork, Transporting, and Farming. Any Pal that has Handiwork can assist you with crafting and building.

Cativa

Cativa is another Pal you’ll discover early on, they’ll be your first Pal to help you with mining. A mining buddy is going to be one of your best friends because you’re going to need a lot of ore. Cativa also has Handiwork, Transport, and Gathering in their work skills.

Pengullet

Pengullets are insanely cute and a great addition for your base! They will be your first Pal to assist with Watering and Cooling. Pengullets are also good for Transporting and Handiwork- you can never have too many that are good with handiwork.

Penking

Penking is one of the lower level bosses, I highly recommend catching one as soon as you feel capable of taking the king down. This will be one of your first Pals that has a level 2 in their work skills. They are literally just an upgrade from the Pengullet because they have all the same skills, just at level 2.

Foxsparks

Foxparks is another great fighter to have in your party, at level 6 you can unlock a harness so you can use Foxparks as a flamethrower to incinerate your foes! They will be one of your first Kindling helpers, assisting with cooking and making metal ingots for better gear.

Embracing my inner Pyro.

Daedream
Daedream is another Pal I recommend to have in your party because at level 8 you unlock a necklace that allows them to stay by your side and attack enemies. This way you always have two Pals fighting by your side! Daedream’s skills are Handiwork, Transporting, and Gathering.

Tip #9 Best Pals For Your Ranch

Image
Body Image
Checking in on the slaves at The Ranch

At Level 5 is when you’ll unlock the recipe for The Ranch in your Tech Tree. In order to build The Ranch you’ll need:

  • Wood 50x
  • Stone 20x
  • Fiber 30x

The Ranch is where Pals are placed that are capable of Farming. While in The Ranch they will drop or bring to you some valuable goodies! Some goodies are rare and hard to find, such as milk and honey. I’m going to share with you the Pals you can have in your Ranch that will give you the most valuable items you can receive from The Ranch. If you have enough supplies, you can have more than one Ranch.

  • Vixy- Pal Spheres, Gold Coins, and Arrow (she brings three very valuable items)
  • Mozzarine- Milk (One of the harder to find items in the wild. Milk is an essential ingredient to Cakes if you’re interested in breeding your Pals)
  • Chikipi- Eggs (Another crucial ingredient for your cakes!)
  • Beegardes- Honey (Yet another ingredient for your cakes)
  • Flamebelle- Flame Organs (As of yet, we don’t have Pals that drop other organs for us
  • Cremis, Lamball, Melpaca- Wool (they all just drop wool, I personally favor Cremis because they’re cute)
  • Woolipop- Cotton Candy (Feed this to your Pals to bring up their SAN, the nutrition is low so you will need something else like berries as well in your feeding bowl)
  • Sibelyx- High Quality Cloth
  • Mau and Mau Cryst- Gold coins!

Tip #10 Skill Fruit Trees

Image
Body Image
Palworld has some very aesthetically pleasing landscapes!

We all want powerful badass Pals in our party as soon as we start! I’m going to share with you how you can have badass Pals, even in the early stages of the game. When you’re adventuring out into the world, keep your eyes peeled for glowing trees. These glowing trees are Skill Fruit Trees, you can collect the fruit to give to your Pals for new abilities. You can get the best abilities for your Pals even early in the game! You can collect 3 fruit from each tree at a time, they do respawn but we have yet to discover how long.

Tip #11 Prevent Your Food Spoiling

Image
Body Image
Don’t judge my scarce fridge…

One of the most annoying things to have to deal with in Palworld is the food spoiling. The fridge isn’t the best, hopefully we see improvements. There’s always the concern of your food spoiling when your Pal goes to eat or sleep. The trick here is to click the Sort button and it will reset the cooldown timers for you. I recommend anytime you go into your inventory, or your fridge, to hit that Sort button to reset the timers.

Tip #12 Carry Limit Trick

Image
Body Image
I like them big, I like them fluffy King Paca Screenshot by Dot Esports

I’m personally in the predicament of moving my main base location and trying to transport everything from the old base. My weight capacity just isn’t enough, but you can also use this trick when you’re out mining because that can weigh you down real fast! You’re going to want to collect a whole party of Kingpaca’s (and Broncherrys) because they have a partner skill called King of Muscles. These thick boys increase your carrying capacity by 100. Can you imagine a whole party of these guys while you’re out mining?! If you’re using them for mining purposes, and want to play it smart. You can seek out thePassive Skill Mine Foreman,  increasing your mining efficiency by 25% each time.

Tip #13 Movement Speed Trick
Image
Body Image

I believe I can fly! I believe I can touch the sky! Screenshot from Gamer Guru

Walking as we all know it is slow and boring, and even sprinting feels like we’re getting nowhere quick enough! Rolling is going to get you around faster when you’re foot, giving you a speed boost. It does burn stamina a lot quicker when you roll, but you will get around faster than just sprinting. Another trick to keep in mind, while sprinting down a hill you can hit the crouch button to start sliding. If you jump during the slide and activate your parachute it will give you a nice speed boost on your parachute!

Tip #14 Best Mounts Early-Mid Game

Image
Body Image
Wishing there were white Direhowls so it would be appropriate to name mine Ghost.

Direhowl

Direhowl was my first mount, and I would recommend him to anyone as a first mount. He isn’t the first mount you unlock, but I think it’s better to grind a bit and enjoy a better mount! They’re easy to come across in the first area, I always encounter them when I Fast Travel to Bridge of the Twin Knights.

Nitewing

Nitewing will be the first flying mount you can unlock in the game at Level 15, but it feels like a slug in the air. The easiest and quickest way to come across one is by Fast Traveling between Plateau of Beginnings to the Grassy Behemoth Hills. I promise they will spawn, eventually.

Vanwyrm

Vanwyrm is much more appealing and a bit quicker than Nitewing, they are the next flying mount to unlock in the Tech Tree at Level 21. Near the Fast Travel Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster you’ll come across some lower level Vanwyrms that will be easier to catch than the volcanic lands.

Fenglope

The ultimate mid game land mount, giving you the ability to double jump and gracefully roam through different terrains, will be the elegant Fenglope You can unlock this impressive creature at Level 26. They are more difficult to come across, and unfortunately so is the boss. To find the Fenglope boss, use the Ascetic Falls Fast Travel, then travel southwest. The boss is hidden behind a waterfall at the end of the mineshaft.

Tip #15 Best Mounts Mid-End Game

Image
Body Image
Isn’t she magnificent?

Rayhound

The Fenglope is a thrill of a ride, but the next fastest land mount will be the electrifying Rayhound found in the hot desert northwest of the world map. They also have double jump capabilities and are noticeably faster! You’ll unlock the Rayhounds saddle at Level 26.

Pyrin/Pyrin Noct

Pyrin/Pyrin Noct are beautiful and easier to come across than other later game mounts, and you’ll feel like you’re zipping and zooming around! Pyrin (saddle unlocked at Level 30) and Pyrin Noct (saddle unlocked at Level 33) can both be found in the volcanic lands, located in the northeast of map. Keep in mind, the Pyrin Noct only appears at night if you want to capture this dark and fire beauty.

Beakon

We have to grind before we see our next flying mount at Level 34, but absolutely worth the upgrade! You’ll finally feel like you’re getting around in the air with a Beakon. You can find the Beakon boss easily by spawning into the Deep Bamboo Thicket and heading southwest.

Ragnahawk

You may have heard about Ragnahawk, this is a flying mount you won’t want to skip out on when you reach Level 37! They're speedy, gorgeous, and great fighters. You can only find the breathtaking Ragnahawks in the scorching hot volcanic lands.

Tip #16 Legendary Mounts

Image
Body Image
Kexo on Youtube is a master Pal Hunter in the world of Palworld

This is the ultimate goal for everyone, is it not? We want the mounts with the best stats and push out the most speed. Who are the 5 fastest mounts we’re all aiming for?

Faleris

Faleris is another bird of firelike Ragnahawk, and the third fastest flying mount in Palworld. I personally dislike the way he looks…I guess he has a pretty cool tail and his stats could counteract his ugliness. You’ll discover Faleris on the Wildlife Sanctuary island on the very northeast of the map.

Frostallion

Frostallion and Frostallion Noct are the glorious pegasus in Palworld. These magnificent beasts have a Ride Sprint speed of 1500, coming in at second place for fastest flying mount! The easiest way to discover Frostallion is to Fast Travel to the Land of Absolute Zero. From there, hop onto your flying mount and fly south. You’ll easily come across Frostallion prancing around her frozen lake.

Frostallion Noct

Here’s a kicker, you won’t come across a wild Frostallion Noct. The only way to add the Noct version to your collection is through breeding. Once you have your Frostallion, pick them up and literally throw them in your Breeding Farm with a Helzephyr, and voila! you have a Frostallion Noct!

Paladius

Paladius and Faleries have the same Ride Spring speed of 1400, but the Paladius is a land mount while Faleris is a flying mount. Paladius is a badass knightley centaur with a triple jump, who will not disappoint! Paladius is waiting for you in the northeast desert just around the lake.

Necromus

Necromus is another badass knightley centaur, who will be your mighty steed! This is our fastest land mount in the game with a Ride Sprint speed of 1600. Sadly, they don't have the awesome triple jump like Paladius, but they do come with a double jump (and the speed really does make up for it). Necromus will be easy for you to encounter because he’s chillin’ with Paladius in the desert.

Jetragon

Finally the one we have all been waiting for, introducing our swiftest mount in the game…the godly Jetragon! This Pal is a beast and a must have in your collection. Jetragon has a Ride Sprint speed of 3300, nothing can compare to this glorious dragon. This Pal is going to be a challenge to catch, and can be a challenge to find. Once you’re equipped and ready for action, head over to the Volcanic Island. Jetragon will be found in the very northwest of the island.

Tip #17 Breaking Down All Pal Spheres

Image
Body Image

Just keep on grinding...

Our regular blue Pal Sheres and our green Mega Spheres can be found in the starting islands with the lower level Pals. You can unlock the recipe in your Tech Tree for the regular Sphere as early as Level 2, and the Mega Sphere at Level 14.

Crafting Regular Spheres

  • Paldium Fragment x1
  • Wood x5
  • Stone x5
  • Crafting Mega Spheres
  • Paldium Fragment x2
  • Ingot x1
  • Wood x7
  • Stone x7

Adventuring north, west, or east will lead you to the dangerous foreign islands that habitat Pals and human enemies from levels 20 to 30. This is where you can find the golden Giga Spheres, either on the ground, or you can loot them from your foes' corpses. At Level 20 is when we can unlock the recipe for Giga Spheres, but you will need the Sphere Workbench to craft them. The Sphere Bench is available to unlock at Level 14.

Crafting Sphere Workbench

  • Paldium Fragment x 10
  • Wood x30
  • Nail x10
  • Crafting Giga Spheres
  • Paldium Fragment x3
  • Ingot x3
  • Wood x10
  • Stone x10

The lovely red Hyper Spheres can only be found in the treacherous lands where level 40 Pals dominate. Unfortunately it is more rare to come across the Hyper Spheres in the wild, so the best way to obtain them is by crafting which can be unlocked at Level 27. These red spheres are going to ask a lot from us, at level 27 you’ll also need to unlock the following before you can craft Hyper Spheres:

Hyper Pal Sphere

  • Sphere Assembly Line
  • Cement
  • Power Generator
  • High-Quality Workbench

Once you have crafted everything above and have it ready to go, you’re now ready to craft your Hyper Balls! I mean-spheres.

Crafting Hyper Spheres

  • Paldium Fragment x5
  • Ingot x5
  • Wood x12
  • Cement x2

We have yet to find Ultra and Legendary Spheres in the wild, but it doesn’t stop us from crafting! I know it’s been a bit of a ride, but I hope you can recall our discussion about your Pals being your slaves, right? They can assist you in farming and crafting your Spheres so they’re always ready on hand!

Crafting Ultra Spheres

  • Paldium Fragment x7
  • Refined Ingot x8
  • Carbon Fiber x3
  • Cement x3

Crafting Legendary Spheres

  • Paldium Fragment x10
  • Pal Metal Ingot x10
  • Carbon Fiber x5
  • Cement x5

Tip #18 Hotkeys

Image
Body Image
Sometimes one is all you need

I want to share some hotkeys for inventory management to save you time! My boyfriend is a genius and discovered a few hotkeys that I’m going to share with you.

  • R- Transfer all like-items from your inventory into chests
  • CTRL- Grab single item
  • SHIFT- Split stack in half

Tip #19 Grappling Gun

Image
Body Image
He might just be a badass Photo by Gamer Guru on YouTube

One of our more impressive and possibly overlooked tools in Palworld is the grappling gun. This will be available to unlock at Level 12, it is the first item in our Ancient Technology we can acquire. To make the first Grappling Gun, you’ll need:

  • Paldium Fragments x10
  • Ingots x10
  • Fiber x30
  • One Ancient Civilization Part

Now I’m going to tell you why you need the grappling gun! One of the most annoying things in survival games is being stuck in place or extremely slow because you’re over-encumbered.To solve this, you no longer need to drop items, all you need is to point your gun at something to pull you. Pull yourself around until you make it to where you need to drop off your items. This can also be used to give yourself momentum before pulling out your parachute. You can easily get around like Spider-Man by just using your grappling gun and glider!

Tip #20 Breeding Farm

Image
Body Image
We have babies!

Level 19 is when we can experiment with breeding our Pals! Breed different Pals to create a new kind of Pal you may not have. The breeding system uses a hidden “breeding power number” to calculate what two Pals can create.

You can use the Palworld Breeding Calculator at  https://palworld.gg/breeding-calculator to help you decide who you want to breed next! Before you can start breeding, you’ll need cake. Lots of cake! Here are your cake ingredients:

  • Flour x5
  • Red Berries x8
  • Milk x7
  • Eggs x8
  • Honey x

To make a cake, it takes an excessive amount of time. Your best friend to make the job faster is Jormuntide Ignis, they are the best kindlers in the game. You’ll place your cake in the chest at your Breeding Farm, then throw your two pals in, and let the magic happen! Cakes thankfully do not spoil while in the Breeding chest. As long as they have cake, they will keep providing you with eggs.

Tip #21 Catch NPC’s

Image
Body Image
Sometimes it benefits to play smarter, not harder

Everything with a health bar in Palworld can be caught, this includes NPC’s. Although they aren’t the best fighters, it can be quite comical to use a meat cleaver on one of the grunts. Knowing this, you can capture Merchants and Black Marketeers so you don’t have to go out looking for them. You’ll always have one at home!

Tip #22 Escape Unwanted Boss Fight

Image
Body Image
Photo by 100% Guides on Youtube

There is so much to explore in Palworld, one of my favorite pastimes in Palworld is adventuring the lands. Have you ever accidentally stumbled into a boss fight you have no right to be in because you’re too weak and puny? Me, me, me, and I screamed and tried running away. Instead of just facing your unfortunate death, you can go open up your menu and sneakily exit the game. Once you spawn back in you should be safely out of harm's way!

Tip #23 How To Make Your Mounts Faster

Image
Body Image

This Jetragon will put anyone and everyone in the dust Photo by Kexo on YouTube

All Pals can acquire 4 passive skills, some are amazing, and some are absolute trash. There are 4 passive skills that give your mount more speed.

  • Nimble- 10% increase to movement speed
  • Runner- 20% increase to movement speed
  • Swift- 30% increase to movement speed
  • Supernatural Speed- 50% increase to movement speed

It is possible to have all 4 movement speed skills on your favorite mount.  The secret is using breeding. You’ll want to keep breeding the Pals with any of the above skills, and eventually the odds will fall in your favor.

Tip #24 Best Passive Skills

Image
Body Image

I'm screaming on the inside because I have the giant penguin of my dreams

Ultimately, it depends on what kind of player you are to decipher what could be a “good” and “bad” passive skill. I’ll create a list that covers all types of players.

Best Combat Passive Skills

  • Lord of, Emperor of, Dvine of- Boost Elemental Damage by 20 %
  • Legend- +20% Attack, +20% Defense, +15% Movement Speed
  • Artisan- +50% Work Speed
  • Lucky- +15% Work Speed, +15% Attack
  • Logging Foreman- 25% increase in player’s Logging efficiency
  • Mine Foreman-  25% increase in player’s mining efficiency
  • Motivational Leader-  25% increase in player’s resource gathering and working speed

Tip #25 Best Pals For Your Dirty Work

Image
Body Image
I don’t do my dirty work anymore!

We work smarter, not harder! These are the Pals you want to collect for the ultimate base setup.

Digtoise

Digtoise is my man for mining. They come with Level 3 Mining, and once you give them their Headband is when they become a beast! I take my party of Big Boys (Kingpacas) and Digtoise and go around mining ore.

Astegon

Astegon is going to be the guy you leave at home with Mining Level 4, and Digtoise gets to tag along for mining outside of base.

Jormuntide

Jormuntide Ignis, as already mentioned, is the best kindler in Palworld with Kindling Level 4.

Wumpo

Wumpo is one of only four Pals in the world with Level 3 Lumbering. I recommend this guy because they also have Transporting Level 4, Handwork Level 2, and Planting Level 1.

Jormuntide

Jormuntide has a Level 4 Watering Skill, he is going to be your best Pal for watering.
