We've compiled a list that includes everything from multiplayer games to single-player titles with unique takes on the genre. Look no further for your next fix of survival games! Here are ten of the most exciting upcoming survival games.
10. Honeycomb - TBD (PC)
The first on the list is Honeycomb, a survival sandbox in which the main features are exploration of SOTA7, an alien world with various biomes and animal species, and base building.
As you explore, you will come across various resources and animals that you can use to test your bioengineering abilities. Furthermore, your friends can join your world to assist you in gathering resources and building bases.
Take care of your base, plants, and construct the ideal base that you like
9. State of Decay 3 - TBD (PC, Xbox Series X|S)
State of Decay 3 is the third installment in the series, and it is likely to be the biggest one to date once it is released due to Microsoft's purchase of the company in 2018.
Nothing has been revealed since the announcement teaser, but given that the second game was already incredible and had a solid foundation with constant updates even to this day, the third game can only get better.
State of Decay 3 will be ranked higher if more information about the game becomes available, but for now, it will remain in this position as one of the most anticipated survival games to be released.
Imagine seeing an unusual “zombie” along the way
8. Wild West Dynasty - February 16, 2023 (PC)
We don't see the wild west setting in video games very often, but it looks like we'll get one this year with Wild West Dynasty, which is set to release on February 16, 2023.
The emphasis in Wild West Dynasty appears to be on the building aspect and survival as you build your own dynasty in the game. It's a mix of RPG, city-building, and simulation that can be quite ambitious but will be fantastic if done correctly.
There are numerous missions to complete, as well as exploration in the vast world of Wild West Dynasty, and, of course, building your settlement, where you can assign workers to do tasks for you.
Create your own town, and make sure your dynasty survives
7. Palworld - 2023 (PC, Xbox Series X|S)
Palworld is an upcoming open-world survival crafting game in which players will be able to discover, befriend, and even collect various creatures encountered in the game's vast world. In this game, the creatures are referred to as "Pal," which has a nice ring to it.
Surprisingly, it has a cute visual style, but it can be brutal as you fight monsters to survive and explore the world. Another feature of Palworld is the ability to design your own buildings, and you can actually assign chores to your "Pals," such as gardening or even building your planned structure.
Furthermore, multiplayer is available in Palworld, allowing you to go on an adventure with your friends or battle and trade with them.

6. Wanderlost - TBD (PC)
Wanderlost may not appear to be a zombie survival game at first glance, but it is, and based on what we currently know, it can be quite enjoyable.
To begin with, the world is procedurally generated, which adds a roguelite element to the game that has been proven to work well in survival games because it does not become repetitive quickly. Players will be tasked with gathering resources, crafting weapons, and even constructing bases to defend against zombie attacks.
Looting, farming, and fishing are among the other activities available in this game. Furthermore, it has RPG mechanics, which means that as you chop your way through the game by doing tasks and killing zombies, you will earn levels and unlock perks.
Gather resources, and produce items that will help you survive your battles against the zombies
5. Nightingale - TBD (PC)
Nightingale is essentially an open-world survival game set in a fantasy world, which means you'll be encountering bizarre creatures. You can travel through various realms until you reach the city of Nightingale.
As a full-fledged PvE game, players will be able to enjoy this game on their own or in co-op with friends. As you discover schematics, you can gather resources, craft weapons and items, and even upgrade them to have enchanted elements. Another important aspect of Nightingale is its building and management. As you construct structures to create a town, you will be able to hire workers to automate production as you assign them tasks, all while exploring more of the world.
Furthermore, you can travel realm by realm, and you can slightly influence how it is generated based on your Realm Cards, which is a big factor in the game's exploration.
Fight magical creatures and find a way to go back home
