Schematics are rare items in PUBG. You’ll need a bunch of them to upgrade a progressive skin.
To use schematics, you’ll have to first obtain an upgradeable weapon skin. Your chance of getting a skin varies depending on the season and availability.
There are only a few ways to acquire schematics in PUBG.
- Opening contraband crates
- Salvaging Progressive Skins
- Buying with scraps
In this article, we’re going to discuss each of them in detail.
3) Contraband Crates
Contraband crates yield a variety of items, including schematics, in different proportions. Schematics are the rarest, with only a 0.9% probability to acquire.
To increase your chances, you’ll have to open a lot of crates. Crates can be bought with either G-Coins or Contraband Coupons.
Going with the coupons is the less expensive choice, as G-Coins are mostly obtained by spending real money.
Contraband coupons are bought from the store for 800 BP each.
You can buy up to 50 coupons per week.
2) Salvage Progressive Skins
Similar to the dismantling system in PUBG Mobile, salvaging allows you to break down weapon skins. If you have a duplicate skin, or a skin you’re simply not interested in upgrading, you can salvage it for schematics.
Not all skins can be salvaged for schematics, though. Some skins only yield polymers when salvaged. The items you’ll get from salvaging a skin depends on its rarity. Therefore, remember to always check the materials you’ll get before salvaging.
1) Buy from Scrap Broker
From the main screen, press on “hideout” then “Scrap Broker”. There, you can buy a schematic for 600 scraps.
You can get scraps by opening crates using G-Coins—crates opened using contraband coupons don’t yield scraps. Each crate - opened using G-Coins - includes 10 scraps.
