Today we will be talking about games that have ship interiors. I believe the interior is sometimes overlooked as the value and overall design that goes into most of them give players a bunch of detail and the hours spent making that detail could be appreciated more. Here is a top 10 on space games with ship interiors.

10. Star Citizen

When it comes to ship interiors, look no further Star Citizen might be the game for you. combining features from space simulators, first person shooters, and MMO genres all on its four playable modes. 

What makes this game interesting based on what was seen from the video is how much detail is put into well…everything. From the space you travel in, to the interior inside I can definitely feel immersed when flying one of these. Hopefully I'll get to see it one day.

In my opinion star citizen is the game you want to play when it comes to star interiors. The hud looks like it'd be attached to the helmet which looks futuristic and fits the tone the game sets.

• Open world games with role building mechanics. From what was seen from this game it allows you to become any of the classes and pick your own story. 
• Flying and Massive Multiplayer online games. 
• Roleplay and futuristic looking scenery. 

The Game features are the following: Players create male or female avatars for the Persistent Universe instead of having a main character, and you can create your own story while still being a part of the universe around it.

9. Elite Dangerous

Elite Dangerous is a space flight simulation game, the player takes the role of a pilot and controls a futuristic spaceship, and explores a realistic 1:1 scale, open-world representation of the Milky Way galaxy, with the gameplay being open-ended.

What's interesting about this game is how you get to explore an open world, and colonize it. Players can farm on new worlds and put earth's touch wherever you go.

My opinion on the game itself is this: the interior of the ships you can go into looks fun and being able to see the different atmospheres when you step off your ship just makes the game feel even more real. 

Choose This Game If Like : 

• First person mode. This game gives players a Futuristic hud that's interesting and interactive. 
• If you like simulation games. With Elite dangerous you can create an immersive story. 
• If you like maps and exploring. This game has a lot to offer when it comes to the milky way galaxy.

Players start with a spaceship and a small amount of money in an open galaxy and role-play in various activities to acquire more money and merit. These activities include trading, mining, exploration, passenger-transportation, bounty-hunting, piracy and assassination.

We see who shot first in this engaging close up fire fight. As you can see by the map the player is surrounded by enemies with no back up.

8. No Man's Sky

Year Released - August 8th 2016 (PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, macOS, iPadOS)  

No Man's Sky is an action-adventure survival game. The Traveller wakes up on a remote planet with amnesia, and must locate their crashed starship. After finding their starship, its computer guides the Traveler to make the necessary repairs, and to collect the resources needed to fuel a hyperspace jump to another planetary system. 

What's interesting about this game is the transition feature. When you get in a ship and fly out the planet there's no loading screens, just one solid real time transition. Another thing interesting is the different colors each planet offers, for example in the trailer there is bright purple grass on one of them.

In my opinion the ship interiors for this game look smooth and crisp, not too hard to look at on the eyes, and always gives you something new to look at. (spending enough time on the planet will make you wish for another one.)

• Science and research. Every planet you go to you can scan the environment around and figure out what it is, what it's good for, and how you can use it. 
• Survival combat and exploring while learning more about the world around you.

The game is built around five pillars: exploration, survival, combat, trading and base building. Players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally generated deterministic open world universe, which includes over 18 quintillion planets.

All this player wanted to do was mine in quiet peace. Instead he alerted the sentinel drones.

7. Starfield

Year Released Q1/Q2 2023 (Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X/S) 

Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in a conflict called the Colony War. Starfieldis placed in an area that extends farther than the solar system called the settled systems. 

What's interesting about this game as seen from the gameplay we have is how it looks like gta but in space. Like the game director said it's supposed to give a skyrim feel but be set in a future time period that has nothing to do with it.

There's not much to say about this game since it hasn't been released yet but my opinion on the ship's interior and overall look would be this: It looks like an interesting and time heavy game with hours of random fun in store.

Choose This Game If You Like : 

• Open world space games.
• Sci-fi roleplay. 
• Skyrim or fallout but want a spacey vibe to it.

The features for this game have yet to be released. Given the base plot about the game and how it's been described we can hope to see a mix of future space technology with the feeling of skyrim with its openness and exploring.

6. Star Wars Squadrons

Year Released December 3rd, 2020 (PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S) 

Star Wars Squadrons is a space combat game. Players take control of starfighters from either the Galactic Empire or the New Republic navy. In these ships, they can utilize the movement of power between the ship's functions of weaponry, shields and engines to defeat their opponents in combat as seen from the trailer.

What's interesting here is the ship interiors. Every starship you fly has a very detailed interior and doesn't look painted on. How this helps the gameplay is by giving players (and myself) a more real feel for the ship we pilot, this lets us understand the battle from a different perspective. 

In my opinion Star Wars Squadrons is fun for many reasons, though lacking massive starship battles this game still allows you and your friends to role play and make up your own scenario for the 5v5.

Choose This game If You Like : 

• Star Wars pilots and starships. Playing in first person mode lets you experience the fear and joy of flying in the star wars universe.
• Highly detailed audio! As mentioned before you get a first person view and in addition get to hear the audio from all the other fighters around you. 

The features in this game allow you to learn what it takes to be a pilot after the events of Return of the Jedi. Seen from alternating perspectives between 2 factions, iconic and emerging leaders on both sides are battling for the galaxy.

5. ASTRONEER

Year Released July 11th, 2022 (PC,Xbox one,PS4) 

Astroneer is an indie space themed exploration, survival and crafting game that lets you visit different worlds. The setting is during the 25th century’s Intergalactic Age of Discovery, where Astroneers explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives in harsh environments to unearth rare discoveries and unlock the mysteries of the universe.

What's interesting about the gameplay is how it merges a sandbox environment and adds automation and crafting. Another interesting thing is how this poly game is compared to others in terms of looks and what you can do.

In my opinion I think Astroneer is a bright and exciting game that lets me relax and do whatever my mind thinks of. Rather it be digging out a side of a mountain for materials or building a rover to get around. I never seem to be bored with this, and with the new updates I'm sure we'll see better improvements.

Choose This Game If You Like : 

• Light and bright games. With the setting and colors the game has a relaxing feel to it.
• Sandbox games that dont feel that much like a sandbox. The world and everything you can do makes it feel more of a classic survival game. (Which is good)
• Games that are kid friendly. With barely any combat this is a game your little ones will enjoy for hours. (Older ones too!)

The game features include crafting, automation, building, flying, researching, and farming if you so choose. With all that to do for a sandbox world there's loads of fun to be had.

The tether wrapped around the players waist is so they don't float off the planet. We are getting a look at some of what this player did,With time you can do this too.

4. Dead Space Remake

Year Released January 27th, 2023 (PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X/S)

The Dead Space Remake is a remastered version of the original dead space.Set in the 26th century we follow everyone's favorite isaac Clarke, a crewman on a repair vessel called the USG Kellion. Isaac is forced to fend for himself as he tries to save his crewmates and learn the truth behind the loss of the Ishimura. 

What's interesting about this remake is how the graphics look now. Every hallway or room you walk into(or kinda fly into) you can tell just how bad the environment is, not to mention the gameplay overall is still the same from what I remember. 

In my opinion i think the dead space remake is still fun to this day. Using exploits like launching an enemy's arm back at them to save ammo will always be a fun memory. The graphics looking better just makes the game even more scary, which is perfect if you're the player who likes that.

Choose This Game If You Like : 

• Horror and story. For sure a game you'll like if jump scares are fun for you.
• The original Dead Space. This doesn't take out anything that the original had.
• If you like to challenge yourself. Without a doubt this game takes skill and a bit of strategy to beat. 

Some of the new features this game has now are new shaders, geometry, and higher-resolution details that give life to the world you're in. There's also advanced lighting to give you more of that scary feel that might have been missing.

3. Star Trek Online

February 2nd, 2010 (PC, Playstation 4/5 , Xbox one/series) 

Star Trek Online is a free-to-play MMO RPG set in the Star Trek Universe. The game is set in the 25th century, 30 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. Players are able to play as a starship, controlling the ship's engineering, tactical, and science systems by keyboard/mouse Players can also "beam down" and move around as a player character in various settings. 

What's interesting about this game is the gameplay. You can control a starship and use tactics to defeat your enemy while being on top. The ship designs and characters added make this a go for any Star Trek fan.

In my opinion it's fun to be able to play against your friends or with them also the expansion packs added gives more variety and playability to it.

Choose This Game If You Like : 

• All things Star Trek. this game for for the ones who can't get enough of the shows and movies and want something extra
• Having space battles that feel like your own adventure. Being able to create your own captain in the Star Trek universe lets you be immersed in the ship you're in and the crew you have. 

The features for this game lets you create your own captain and have a story tailored to you. Experience over 160 episodes through multiple story arcs. There is also content on the ground as well as in space.

The U.S.S Odin has one goal at the moment and that is to scan the signal repeater and stop the signal. Events like these happen often in star trek online.

2. PREY

Year Released May 5th, 2017(PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One)

Prey is a first-person shooter video game that takes place in an alternate timeline in which an accelerated Space Race resulted in humankind taking to orbital stations far earlier. As the Typhon escapes confinement, the player uses a variety of weapons and abilities, some of which are derived from the Typhon themselves, to avoid being killed while looking to escape the station.

What's interesting is the story this game has along with the gameplay. You as the player feel like it's your responsibility to stop whatever is aboard from escaping. The details and graphics help give a sense of horror without taking away from the game itself.

In my opinion I like the different weapons and monsters there are. The variety is good for when games hit a point of repeating the same quest with a different map. The ship's interior also feels modern but futuristic, giving a bright but gloomy vibe.

Choose This Game If You Like : 

• Horror and First person.
• Space adventures that don't have happy endings.
• Using different weapons and methods to defeat your enemy.

The Features for the game include things such as a Singular Setting and an Unimaginable Threat. This is a Play your way type of game that adds Sci-fi thrillers into the mix.

Fun Factor Score: 89/100

The phantom here was tough to defeat. The player after this encounter is going to continue on to try and stop them from spreading and getting off the ship.

1. System Shock Remake

Year Released Coming soon March 23rd, 2023 (Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S)

This is a remake of the original game adding better graphics and more detail to the world you're in. System Shock is a first-person action-adventure video game and is set aboard a space station in a cyberpunk vision of the year 2072. Assuming the role of a nameless security hacker, the player attempts to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence called SHODAN.

What's interesting about the gameplay is the cyberpunk world! The creatures and bright colored environment is a change up for what's in the game as far as story, what i'm saying is you don't expect that nowadays and it is nice to have.

My opinion on the trailer from what i saw is this: It looks like an interesting and fun game that i'm bummed out i never got to play. Lucky with the remake being released soon that changes everything.

• Cyberpunk world settings.
• Fast paced Action.
• Space travel.

The features for this game include Energy weapons and several types of explosives that can be found. Moving up the ladder there's concussion grenades to land mines to energy shields you can use to gain an advantage. You can also make health kits or dermal patches which let regenerate or have increased melee power.
